This does it's job, but it's not silent. It does take a surprising amount of water out of the house and helps the AC out during humid Texas summers. I wish draining was a bit easier. The full tub is heavy when full and dumping it out usually spills because it's not really designed to pour out. If you're using the drain tube it would probably be better. Unfortunately that's not an option for where we wanted to place it. The machine is also fairly loud. Not really a problem for us since it's in our stairway, but it would be audible in a high traffic area.

Emptying the water can be a little messy but it does work very well.

Super easy to empty, great job dehumidifying. Getting it connected to wifi is pretty much impossible but found it not really necessary

Bought this Dehumidifier for my basement. Works great and noticed the difference in only a few hours. Water tank fills up in about a day. Water tank is easy enough to empty but it is made of plastic so you need to be careful not to break it. Wheels make it easy enough to move. I don't use the WiFi so I can't comment on that feature. Buttons on top are easy to use. I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

Our basement is approximately 2200 sq ft, and this unit replaced two older, smaller units. After a full month's usage, it has proven itself up to the task. I connected a drain hose to allow continuous use without emptying. I have reduced the humidity setting as the basement has dried out. It offers many other control options that, admittedly, I haven't had the need to try out. But it is doing exactly what I bought it for, with a minimum of intervention and effort on my part.

I bought this to replace an old GE dehumidifier I got years ago. This unit is quiet and keeps my humidity right around 50, even in the warmer, summer weather. I went through the initial setup through the app, and did link it to my smart home, but I am not sure what I would ever use it for. I can check the humidity, and thats about it. I leave it on continuous run, so I wouldn't really need to change any settings. I don't know any reason not to give this 5 stars as it fits my needs perfectly.

This dehumidifier was purchased for a vacation home which has high humidity issues. We used a short hose to connect to the back of the unit and put the overflow end in the kitchen drain. Works great and has very little noise, which is a major improvement over previous models.

Quiet operation. Works great so far (one month of operation). Using in 3-car garage and control set to 50% humidity level. Set mine up to drain to exterior of garage. The only down side is that the room it operates in will get slightly warmer as result of the heat generated by the humidifier (as expected). Suggested product improvement - Would benefit by a real (washable foam) air filter as opposed to a wire screen.

I got this based on the consumer reports reviews. Overall, it works fine as a dehumidifier, but it runs loud and I think the humidity sensor is off. It keeps running and says the humidity is crazy high (like 80%) but the basement feels fine and I have another humidity sensor that says it's below 45%? Also the tank is pretty small and while it comes with a hose, it's very cheaply made and only like 2ft long. You can hook up a garden hose to it.

Needed a dehumidifier for the basement that I could control remotely to minimize usage during peak times under a new electric utility TOD rate plan. Had a good experience with a non-smart Honeywell unit in the past but didn't know what to expect from their smart unit. This smart unit purchase has not let me down -- easy to setup and operate (just remember to let the unit sit unpackaged and upright overnight first before starting -- to get the refrigerant right after being displaced during shipping). Used a garden hose connection to a floor drain. WiFi connection reliable. Paired it with a couple of WiFi digital humidstats to separately monitor humidity throughout the basement. Have it set to 50% humidity and it cycles between 45% (where it turns off) and 55% (where it turns on) -- but I can shut it down remotely during peak periods and turn it back on during off peak periods. Only time will tell regarding durability.

Runs like 90 % of the time at 65% humidity setting. My old one turned off and on a lot more which uses more electric and wear and tear but this one is rated at 5 amps and my old one at 7.5amps so hopefully im savings some dough. This was also the top rated model in a consumer magazine. Don't know why its always running. The humidity display constantly changes and its a sealed room . I know the fan is supposed to run for a few minutes after the compressor turns off but the fan keeps running. You can hear the compressor cycle on and off and when its running you feel warm air comming out. Other than this it works well a nd room is comfy.

Has worked very well for my basement so far. The drain hose that came with it is basically worthless and you will have to buy another if you want continuous draining.

This thing is great! Try and get it on special if you can, we got the 70 pint for the same price as a smaller model. We are having monsoonal weather here in Chicagoland this summer and we just have this going 24/7. Needs emptying twice a day, which is fine, as we are on outside watering restrictions so it goes straight on the garden. Noticeable difference in atmosphere of house after just a few minutes run time.

Easy to operate, Works in my basement, Less noisy then the older one i just replaced. Does its job all right.

Relatively quiet. Fills two to three times daily in our basement. Can be connected to a smart phone. We did not purchase for this feature. We wanted one quickly, had guests coming and noted our basement walls had mildew on them. Guest bedroom in basement. Spent day before cleaning walls then ran dehumidifier for less than 24 hrs and musty smell significantly decreased.

It fills up everday and only hold about 2 gallons of water. Its great at removing water from the air. When I hook up a hose to it and have it drain naturally, it will be amazing. But for how big it is, I would have liked a larger water container so it does not need to be emptied daily. The drainage hose it comes with is only 4 feet long. I will have to buy a longer one which seems like i shouldn't have to for a unit of this price. But it does what it is supposed to great. My basement smell is gone.

Extremely quiet. Very easy to use. It’s self regulating.

Quirky functionality, unit does not turn off after achieving desired humidity level. Fan runs continually, wasting electricity. Drain hose way too short. Wifi app. does not seem to control the unit properly or as intended.
