This is my second Hoover Floormate. Had the non-deluxe Floormate. This model has improved suction, an increased capacity but a shorter power cord and odd placed on and off switch. The original Floormate's switch is missed most. It was built right into the top of the handle. This one is on the left side just about mid-way on the machine. Overall the improvements are worth the upgrade although I already see how Hoover can make their Deluxe model the Deluxe Pro (made it up) with a 35' vs 20' cord and switch built back into the handle itself.

I have bamboo flooring and this ready does the job. Clean and dries the floor great!!!!

This does a pretty good job of cleaning my tile floors. It doesn't always get in the grout since the level of the grout is slightly lower than the tile. And it takes a lot of time to clean since you have to go back and forth several times on the same spot to get completely clean. It's probably slightly easier on my back than getting down on my hands and knees, although I still find my back aching a bit from leaning over for the full hour it takes to get my floors clean.

2 one love it is not great on vinyl floors but picks up mud still tiles great

I have all hardwood pine floors in my home and they are light colored so high traffic areas really stand out. Plus I have two dogs that are in and out 500 times a day. This worked on the areas that needed more than just a mop. Definitely worth the price.

Purchased this for my high traffic areas. It does work very well. I would like it to be a faster process, but the dirt that comes up makes up for it. Very easy to use. Would recommend.

I bought the machine for tile and wood floors in my home. It cleans them without leaving excess water behind.

I really really love this machine. I have wood and tile in my house and it cleans the tile and the wood. I wish the tanks were a little bit bigger so I could do the whole place without having to refill and empty, but just not having to wring out a mop is great! I really recommend this machine.

Overall it is GREAT. I was really looking for something that didn't involve mops and constantly wash them, etc. We have hardwood floors throughout our whole house and all of those steam mops wouldn't last through the whole house. I like how it works, I've tried it on tough spots and may have to go over it one more time but it gets it up! I would say that if you have old hardwood floors that have gaps, etc it would not be ideal to use because even though it sucks up water fast, it does put a lot down!

This floor machine has been improved since the original. I love the fact that it can be safely used on hardwood floors. It has a brush for both tile and hardwood. I would have given it 5 stars if it got closer to the edges. I still have to scrub them by hand.

Excellent Scrubber, the only downfall is the length of the cord. Wish it was longer.

I have 50+ year old linoleum that always look dirty. My Floormate does a really good job of scrubbing and lifting the dirty water; you can definitely see the difference. For floors as bad as mine, I do recommend a light spray of liquid cleaner (409, Fantastik) all over as a pretreatment before using the Floormate, but overall I'm very happy with my purchase!

I have a bad back and this is very light weight and easy to push. Would be nice if cord would automatically rewind.
