This vacuum was heavy compared to a Dyson battery charged stick vacuum and did not have comparable suction. We hoped it would be a cheaper option similar to a Dyson. It would also cut off every so often and the double tap it said would let it run continuously never worked. We returned it after 4 days.

Just bought, worked good for a bit, started slowly not picking up even after cleaning all the areas out. Now completely does not work even after cleaning out and whike using flap that hold all dirt inside kept reopening and could not close. I noticed it look as though the battery was not helping, would not change from carpet ti hardwood, and now flap will not close and pieces from storage for dirt seem broke yet had it only a few weeks amd nithing like this was happening

Hi Someday99, we hope we caught you in time! It may be time to rinse out your filter. Remember to only rinse it with water and let it dry for 24 hours. That should help with the suction. We also recommend a few troubleshooting tips included in this video to improve the performance of your vacuum:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqW83mm-87w. If you still run into issues please contact us at 1-800-321-1134. Thanks! Cierra Hoover

    Very Good Cordless Vacuum

I really like the Hoover - FUSION Cordless Pet Stick Vacuum. I was looking for something cordless that can still pick up dirt and pet hair like a full-sized vacuum. We have a Shark, but it is cumbersome plugging it in and moving it as I vacuum different rooms of the house. The Hoover - FUSION Cordless Pet Stick Vacuum allows you to do quick clean-up without the hassle of a cord. The set-up and operation are very easy. In fact, my 9 year old son took it out of the box, put it together, and proceeded to use it to vacuum out the back seat and floors of my car. It worked great and he was able to change the attachments and dump the collection bin easily. The only thing I do not like about it, is the fact that you have to hold the unit in your hand the whole time. Even when you are using it as a traditional vacuum, you cannot leave it free standing. You either have to hang it back on the wall hook, lean it against something or lay it flat on the ground. I wish the stick part locked into place to ease of transport or so you can leave it standing in the middle of the room if you need to move something in it's path, etc. Overall, I have found it to be useful and hold it's charge. I also noticed it has a very strong sucking ability and cleaned both my tile and carpets very well. I look forward to trying the pet hair attachment and the upholstery attachment as well.

This is my first handheld rechargeable vacuum I have owned since the days of the the Black and Decker Dustbuster( well over 25 years ago.)I have used other handheld rechargeable vacuums but always found they did not have the enough power. The Hoover FUSION Cordless Pet Stick Vacuum is a mixed bag when it comes to that ( more on that below.) The vacuum comes with all the expected features of a modern vaccum – bagless with a decent size canister, built well and multiple accessories. In review : Assembly- The Hoover was easy to put together and you can , mostly , figure out how to put it together without looking at the the instructions. I was a bit confused on he mounting pieces until I realized there was duplicate parts. Yes, I know that is rare and usually not the case but there is definitely two accessory tool mounts when it looks like there should be one. No big deal and the main unit assembles in a minute or two. Construction Like everything these days, it is nearly all plastic. That does not mean there is anything wrong with that, the main unit is solid. The brush head does tend to rattle a bit during use and at one point I thought something was broke. However, after examination, I found it was just the roller design in the power head and there was nothing wrong. Weight and balance The unit was a bit heavier than I would like but there is not much you can do if you want power and durability. It did get tiresome after using it in handheld mode with no power head on it. For quick clean ups, it is no problem. For prolonged handheld use with accessories, most women would find it too heavy. It tended to be a bit unnbalanced but not too much. This all changed when you install the extension wand and multifloor brush head and used in upright mode It was easy to use and manuvered well . Keep in mind, this is not a true upright vacuum so it does not stand up by itself. Battery life - The battery life was just perfect. In full rug mode, it cleaned 670 sq ft of floor space with a 26 minute run time. I used it in rug mode knowing that would use the most amount of power. I felt 26 minutes was very good for the battery size and weight. Next I used it in handheld mode with a brush head tool and I cleaned all surface areas in apartment and it lasted 37 minutes. Again , very impressive. It was easy handle most small jobs , Don’t get too hung up when you see run times in the 30 minute – that is par for course when considering balancing, weight, design etc of a battery powered vacuum. One nice feature is the main unit has a battery meter built into the control panel , no guessing when the battery is going to die. Sound I would put this as average for a handheld. Not quiet by any means by acceptable. Cleaning As indicated, the Hoover - FUSION Cordless Pet Stick Vacuum was a mixed bag in terms of power. In handheld mode, I expected suction to be stronger. It cleaned well with the accessories but I could not test it to limits. I just felt it could have had more suction power. When I attached the powerhead brush and used the vacuum as an upright, that is where the unit really shined. The powerhead brush was exceptional – deep cleaning that was comparable to a traditional upright. It really did a great job. Accessories and storage It comes with a wall mount that is just okay. The design of the vacuum is a bit akward for the wall mount and you have to find another place for the the charger and battery. Hoover should come up with a better design that integrates the charger, battery, accessories and the vacuum. Overall , I like the vacuum. There are some minor design changes that would make this a winner. I have seen comparisons to the competition, mainly that the big name out there is better. Of course it is , but that big name is also 2 to 3 times the price of this Hoover. That is where Hoover has the advantage – they offer a nearly comparable unit in terms of cleaning for $200. That makes this vacuum a far better value. Recommend.

I purchased this product thinking it can stand on its own and vacuum rugs. Negative on both. It gets clogged very easily and you with have to lay it flat on the floor or stand it up against the wall and hope it doesn’t fall. It slid from resting on the wall a couple times and it stopped working. Save a few more dollars and by a Dyson.

This is a hands down not good. Suction is bad I have to go over twice to pick up dirt/crumbs. And I had my friend come over and her dog layed on my custom cut 3” thick rug. Got dog hair all over it and this product did not work for junk. Rollers keep shutting off. I was better off get a traditional vacuum for the price I paid.

Hi Luckyduck69, We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your FUSION Max and that is not living up to expectations. The brush roll will sometimes shut off to prohibit the vacuum from overheating, which can happen when on thick rugs. Try turning off the brush roll manually before tackling thick rugs. If this doesn't seem to be working, please reach out to us directly at 1-888-679-2121, or message us on Facebook. Thanks! Jenna Hoover

This hoover is a great vacuum for daily cleaning and quick mess pickup. If you don't want to get out a larger full size vacuum and have something portable this is definitely the vacuum for you. I love some of the design choices of the Hoover. They have a removal battery and the wall stand includes the screws needed to mount it to the wall unlike some other. While it may not work for all walls, it should cover most people which is nice, don't need to make a trip to the hardware store to mount it. The flat design also stands up nicely on its own. I am very happy with this vacuum, its quite, powerful and I can use it to run a quick carpet/floor clean to a fast switch to clean up spilled coffee grounds on the counter. The large vacuum head can switch with a press of a button between carpet hardwood. So nice. While this is a bit heavier then say a Dyson, its much more comfortable to hold and with the addition of double tap to run continuously makes this the winner in comfort. The addition of the battery display to show how much power is left on the back of the vacuum is also a nice touch. While I've used it the last few days, I haven't had to recharge it yet. Has a nice large battery and it doesn't seem to suck less with use, with the indicator I'll have an indication when to charge. The cons really are the position of the removal battery. It has to be removed to be charged in the charging the dock, it would have been nice to have a way to charge it while installed, but its a minor compliant and I'd rather have to deal with that then have an integrated battery that I can't replace years down the load once it stops holding charge and not have to replace the whole unit. The only other thing is the locking of the attachments, it seems a bit stiff and harder to use then I'd like. Otherwise this is a great cleaning system, esp. if you don't want to get the big guns out to just get the daily dirt off the floor or clean up a spill.
