The quality of this vacuum was amazing but then I realized its a nightmare when you try to put it down. There is no mounted cradle so you literally just have to find somewhere to set it. The battery has to be taken out of vacuum to charge. To empty dirt it takes two hands so you have to take it apart and set the dirty vacuum down somewhere then reassemble. This vacuum could have been perfect but with these engineering oversights we returned it after 1 day. A product like this needs to be quick and convenient to use.

    Handy Hand Vacuum

The Hoover Onepwr Dust Chaser Cordless Vacuum works well. It’s lightweight but has good suction. The battery comes with a separate charging station and charges quickly. The battery also holds a decent charge for multiple uses of the vacuum. The hand vac works especially well for those hard to reach places like corners (both floor and ceiling), shelves, drapes, and ceiling fans. It’s also great for vacuuming stairs, so you don’t have to drag a full sized vacuum cleaner up and down the steps. My one complaint is that the hand vac’s dust bin is very small and fills up quickly. This means the vacuum is mostly useful for small cleaning projects and spot cleanups. Otherwise, you need to frequently empty the dust bin before getting back to vacuuming.

    Powerful, lightweight convenient Hand vac

The Hoover OnePwr Hand Vac is a powerful handheld vacuum. It’s light weight, only about 4 pounds and comes with Battery, charger, 2 in 1 dusting/crevice tool and an upholstery tool. The battery is interchangeable with other Hoover OnePwr devices/tools which comes in handy if you need to use the Hand Vac for longer cleaning power. The battery lasts for about 30min. Just long enough to do a quick clean of the interior of my car. The utensils are a plus as most handheld vacuums don’t come with many, if any, utensils. I just wish there was some sort of storage bag to put them in. Right now, I’m using a plastic zip lock type bag so I don’t lose them. Suction is better than most other hand vacs. The Hoover OnePwr Hand Vac picked up my spewed cat litter much quicker off the floor. The better suction vacuumed up the litter off the rug quickly and easily without sucking up the rug itself. The dirt cup releases easily for cleaning. Just push a button to release it from the OnePwr Hand Vac, remove the filter and pour the dirt into the garbage. The filter is also easy to clean, however it does take a while to air dry. The filter needs to be completely dry before replacing it back into the Hand Vac. There are a few cons: The OnePwr Hand Vac comes with convenient extra utensils, however, there’s no bag to store them in. I have mine in a zip lock plastic bag. The dirt collector is smaller than other hand vacs and needs to be emptied more often. The battery is a little tough to get out of the charger. The side buttons have to be pushed in hard and 2 hands are needed to release the battery from the charger. It would be a lot better if the charger was just a small attachment that just connects to the battery contacts. Overall – it’s a nice powerful hand vacuum for small jobs, such as cleaning the inside of a vehicle, picking up litter and other small jobs. For that I recommend it.

    Portable Power

I have been looking for a new car vacuum that will do a great job on my new ride. It seems that there are two different routes to take, either low end that will probably break after the warranty is up or the second option is the ones that you will have to take a loan out to pay for them, but I really do not want to spend that kind of money for a portable vacuum to keep in my truck. I found the perfect solution, the Hoover ONEPWR dust Chaser, and at a price that will not break the bank. The Dust Chaser came with two different attachments, the upholstery tool and the 2-in-1 dusting crevice tool. It also comes with a 2.0 Ah Lithium-Ion battery that has about a thirty minute life span. I have used it a couple of times and it picks up pretty much anything that gets left behind, leaves, pebbles, grass and the occasional French fry. It has a hard time on pine straw, but I believe it is due to it being long and thin, that it can not suck it up on the first try. The Vacuum has great suction and plenty of power, I have tested it on dry cat food and popcorn, and it picked it up without any issues. I do feel like the waste receptacle is on the small size, I was having to empty it way too often, and I noticed that when the dirt cup was full, all the debris would fall out of the intake port, when I turned the machine off. Another plus is that it comes with a HEPA filtration system that catches 99.97% of dust and allergens. If you decide to go with the Hoover ONEPWR Dust Chaser, being able to use the same battery on their multiple devices would be beneficial.

The Hoover ONEPWR system is pretty need, it's similar to what you see a lot of gardening tools getting into. You get this one battery that you can easily swap between multiple device. The dust chaser happens to be my first in this line, I got this for little clean up, mostly for the cat but my boys tend to also make a mess with chips and cereal so this also comes in hand for that also. Overall not very loud, to be expected with something it's size. With the battery sitting close to the handle, most of the weight is in the back of the vacuum, for me this feels comfy enough, the shape is a little unique as it makes me feel like I am cleaning up with a "sawed off" vacuum. The opening is not the largest so it's good to user for small messes. The collection cup is a little on the smaller side, it works for what I use it for, but this may not be for everyone. I would recommend checking out the specs, or in store if you by chance are comfortable going out. There may be something else in the ONEPWR line that may fit your needs, such as the ONEPWR Cordless Hand Vac. I am all for these products powered by universal batteries, I was looking into replacing my older upright vacuum and I am definitely going with something in the ONEPWR product line, just have to see which cordless I go with!

I have two cats and I am always cleaning up after them. From pieces of food, to litter, to hair, it never stops. I need a light, ultra portable vacuum with great suction and this Hoover exceeded my expectations. It comes with a battery that is interchangeable with a wide array of other products, plus a couple of handy attachments. The battery holds a long charge and I could not believe the amount of suction and low noise from this amazing little machine. After some cat cleanup, I tried it on my living room chairs with the upholstery attachment and once again, it did an amazing job. Then I took it out to my car and it did an incredible job on the floors, seats, dash and crevices. Emptying the filter is super easy and leaves no mess. This is exactly what I needed in a hand held vacuum and I will definitely check out the other Hoover OnePwr devices.

I like to keep a handheld vacuum around the house for quick cleaning purposes, especially with a toddler. This product includes the handheld vacuum, dusting attachment, and upholstery attachment, battery, and battery charger. This product uses the universal ONEPWR battery so it can be used with any products in the ONEPWR line. This handheld vacuum is extremely lightweight and the design is very sleek. I find the suction to be fairly powerful for such a small vacuum. The only downfall is that the dust/dirt compartment is pretty small and has to be emptied frequently. Overall this is a great option and is much better quality than most hand vacuums I've tried. It requires minimal storage space and the cordless option makes it much more convenient.

A Great Hand Vac For the Job

The Hoover ONEPWR Dust Chaser Cordless Hand Vac is really a great tool for many odd jobs. I really love this hand vac but due to a couple of small issues, I can't give it 5 stars. First for the positives. The vacuum is compact and lightweight. This makes it easy to handle and take where ever you may need it. This makes it very handy when you go to clean a ceiling fan or spider webs from the upper corner of a window. You can even hold it one handed above your head with it still being easy to control. The vacuum also comes with two standard attachments. One attachment is a small extension which works great for vacuuming your car. I was easily able to get in between seats and in small crevices to get my car clean. It works great for this. I don't have to deal with my large vacuum and finding a place to plug it up in my garage to get this job done. And I don't have to pay the gas station a bunch of quarters to get the same job done. You will love this vacuum for cleaning your car alone. The other attachment is a more standard roughly 4 inch wide piece. This is a savior for vacuuming stairs in your house. The hose on a normal vacuum doesn't really work well on stairs. This hand vac works great to get the stairs done. I loved it for this. Even being a hand vac, there is sufficient power to pick up debris that may be on the floor. I had no problems picking up pet hair from the stairs or grass/dirt in my car. So you don't have to worry about that. This vac will do the job. I have really two minor complaints related to this hand vac which prevent me from giving it that fifth star. I think a lot of people will use this in the car. As such, you have to hold the vac at different angles. So you may not be able to hold it at the handle as designed. I found when I did this, I would accidentally turn off the hand vac. The on/off is a push button and not a slide switch. After I accidentally depressed the off button about 5 times while vacuuming my car once, I had to wonder why they made the choice to use a push button for on/off. The other thing I noticed was that the battery did not last as long as I would have liked. This is not like a corded vacuum where you pull it out and handle all the vacuuming at one time. Don't expect to vacuum a couple of cars and the stairs without recharging. Knowing this, I can adjust my use. To put it in perspective, I seemed to get about 30-45 minutes out of a charge. Then it takes around 3 hours to fully charge. It works for what you need, but I would like to see it be a bit longer. In conclusion, this really is a great hand vac. It has plenty of power to handle small spills that may happen around the house. This also works great on stairs and in cars. It is lightweight and portable and so easy to use. I highly recommend this hand vac for anyone needing a small vac.

    Great Handheld Vac

I haven't had a handheld vacuum in years but with 2 kids and 3 furry animals, I've been debating about getting one for the little messes that seem to pop up every day. And then the Hoover ONEPWR Dust Chaser Vac entered my life. Upon looking at it, I did one of those tilted head looks. Stating that is odd looking is one thing, but as my son so eloquently stated "it looks like an alien ray gun." He's not wrong - it does look like something out of alien movie. Aside from the different appearance of a most standard handheld vacuums, it works amazing. It is extremely lightweight in comparison to other vacuums I've had in the past (like I said, it's been years since I had one, so many they're all lighter now). Enough so that I can have my kids use it with little to no whining that it's heavy. It's also sturdy, with a solid plastic body. It comes with a charging base and the standard attachments you would see with larger vacuums. The only complaint I would have with it is the debris compartment - it's a bit on the small side. That or my family is extremely dirty - I can't decide which one it is. But I had to empty the compartment after every use and sometimes in the middle of cleaning (at least that's what my son said when he was using it to clean up cat food). Overall, I would recommend it to friends and family. It's a great vacuum - it's sturdy, lightweight and powerful.

This handheld vacuum is very powerful. It does an excellent job picking things up. The battery life is great, and can also be used with other products within the ONEPWR lineup. There's a couple things holding it back from being a 5* product in my own opinion. The first reason being the very small capacity. For example, my daughters cat is a little messy around it's litter box. Typical cat. Using this vacuum, it quickly becomes full, sometimes having to empty it out before getting all the litter up. And the second reason, there is no base or holder for it. The battery charger only holds the battery, so you're going to need a shelf or some free space on a floor in a closet or somewhere to store it. Likes: 1.) Powerful 2.) Great battery life 3.) Ability to use battery in other ONEPWR products. Dislikes: 1.) Small Capacity 2.) Lack of base/ hanger for wall storage in a closet.

This is my second ONEPWR vacuum from Hoover and I'm a huge fan. This handheld is cordless and comes with a 2Ah rechargeable batter, a washable filter, and a combined dusting and crevice attachment. This vac is light weight, and easy to use. I love the crevice tool for the stairs and vehicles. I am 5'5" and with the crevice attachment, the vac is long enough that I do not have to bend down to reach the corners. The battery life is at least 30 minutes, allowing for me to fully detail a vehicle before charging. At just under 3 lbs this vacuum is easy to use, store, and maneuver into difficult to reach areas. The downside to being so light is that the dust bin on this vacuum is very small. I typically empty it 3 - 5 times when cleaning dust and crumbs out of the vehicles. Otherwise its great if you need something small, portable, with a long lasting battery.

This is the first handheld vacuum I’ve had in almost twenty years and I have to say... I expected better. Out of the box, there’s no frills or complicated processes. I was able to get this up and running with ease without using the instructions. It arrived with a minimal charge, but I booted up the charging deck off right away to get this sucker to full power. The battery pack has an LED display to let you know how much juice is left which is nice. The charging deck is sturdy, the cord is long enough, and this is so far working just great. Until I started using it... after a full charge, I turned the vacuum on and went to work on my stairs. I conjoined the appropriate attachment and tackled the stairs, an area that normally gets neglected because it’s frustrating to navigate with a normal vacuum. I’d estimate I have 12 stairs and after cleaning 2-3, it’s time to empty the debris catcher. It’s not hard to do, it’s just cumbersome to do so often, I would’ve rather had a slightly bigger catcher. By the time I got to the bottom floor, after probably 20 minutes of use, the vacuum stopped working. I checked the battery to find out it was already depleted. Ok... back to the charger. After a few hours, I retrieved the battery, noted the full charge, and went out to clean out my car. My car is newish, no kids or pets, and wouldn’t be that difficult to clean. Fast forward twenty minutes and the battery is dead again. Note that while this has an embarrassingly low battery life, the suction itself was great. The vacuum was heavier than I expected and I’m a weightlifter so I can’t imagine the general public viewing this as a light tool. The power button, while easily within thumb reach, has to be held down the entire time you’re using the device instead of a simple click on or off, which I thought was incredibly short sighted. Disposing of debris from the catcher is no issue, but the battery is also tucked behind the debris catcher so after every twenty minutes of use, you’re not only generally going to have to take the catcher out multiple times to empty but then take it out one last time at the end to retrieve the battery and charge that too before reassembling everything for storage. It’s just a head scratchingly cumbersome process. Lastly, there’s a separate air filter, that is suggested to be cleaned every once in a while with water, then let air dry for 24 hours before putting it back in the device and resuming cleaning. After my first two uses, a combined 40 minute of cleaning on already relatively clean areas I decided to check the filter only to find that it was incredibly dirty. I’m obviously glad the finer debris is getting caught, but it also becomes such a lengthy process to imagine that for every hour of cleaning you’d plan to do, you’re charging the vacuum for 1-2 hours before use, using it, emptying the bin multiple times after use, recharging the battery again, taking out the air filter, cleaning that, letting it air dry for a day, and reassembling everything before putting it away. Again, it’s plenty of work in return for not much time spent actually cleaning the surfaces you’d like to clean. In closing, if suction and speed is the goal, this is for you. If spending more time maintaining the system as you would cleaning sounds like a nightmare, just move on. This vacuum kind of sucks

Good for specific jobs, but some drawbacks

The Hoover OnePWR dustchaser is a 'portable' handheld vacuum that is a good tool for some specific jobs, but has a few drawbacks. The best thing about this device is it is powerful for a handheld vacuum. We have used it on our carpeted stairs with the attachment and it does a very good job cleaning the crevices out. It is also good for large, dry spills and gets most of an area clean in one pass and without a lot of extra back-and-forth. There are two attachments that conveniently fit in the handle. They are good attachments for a device like this, so it's a nice bonus (since attachments on handheld vacuums are rare). It does make cleaning a couch or curtains easier, as well as hard to reach areas on a floor (such as stairs). For a portable handheld vacuum this thing is huge. The pictures in the listing and online show it being used with one hand, but you can get an idea of the size from those same pictures. It CAN be used with one hand, but it's awkward to do so and you'll likely find yourself using both hands most of the time like I did. I'm not sure if the listed weight is with or without battery, but it's definitely heavier with the battery in--controlling a large, three pound device with one hand with any accuracy is not a very easy thing to do. I will mention my kids love it because it looks like a giant gun. I'm not sure if that's a plus or a minus haha. The cup is easy to empty and re-attach, and (due to the size) holds quite a bit before needing to be emptied. The battery lasts about 30 minutes, so this can really only be used for quick jobs before needing to be recharged again. The battery is large and heavy, and takes about 4 hours to get back to a full charge. That can make it inconvenient if you're trying to finish a large job, but have to stop halfway through to charge the battery. The battery system is compatible with other Hoover devices, though I don't own any. I am a fan of those types of systems since they can help reduce costs and cut down on the need for many batteries and chargers across devices, though with only 30 minutes of use it's hard to imagine not wanting more than one battery, particularly for multiple devices. The other devices that come up in a search all look larger than this one (a stick vacuum, a wet mop and more). The low battery time would be even less convenient on larger devices designed for bigger jobs. Overall this system works as advertised, but it's large and awkward to use, and can only be used for short stretches. If you're in the market for a very specialized device like this there's not a lot of competition in battery-operated vacuums since most tend to be a lot smaller and less powerful. I would recommend it to a friend with a very specific need--but would mention the drawbacks first.
