I used this hand vacuum just three times to clean up dust around the edges of our living room, it clogged up within 5 minutes. This vacuum is just not made to handle normal conditions. I am very unhappy with this item and will return it asap. The capacity of the dirt chamber is smaller than a wallet, not sure what the engineer was thinking who designed this.

Wanted a small handheld vac for small jobs around the house such as picking up dog hair from our two dogs as well as crumbs from their treats that they leave behind.
Was a pain to pull out the full size vacuum for small jobs like this so this vacuum is perfect.
The Hoover OnePwr has not disappointed. There is an attachment that allows you to spot clean the floor with minimal bending. I’m 5’7 and simply lean more than bend when using this dust chaser.
In regards to the suction, works great for what I need it for. Picks up dog hair and crumbs very easily.
Also love the fact that I can use it on my stairs as opposed to using my stand up vacuum which is a pain to do as it requires carrying the whole vacuum down step by step to clean each step.
With this handheld, no balancing act required as we can simply carry it down and vacuum with one hand.
Battery charges quickly but drains relatively quick also. This is a handheld vacuum which is meant for spot jobs so it really plenty of battery life for moderate use.
Filter is small and easy to clean.
If anything, I would have loved to see this come with a stand or mount for placement when not in use.
Besides that, I have no complaints. Plenty of power for small jobs and a great modern look. Would buy this product again in the future is needed which I don’t foresee needing anytime soon.

Nice Handheld Vac

You can certainly buy cheaper battery powered, hand held vacuums and a few that are more expensive.
But what separates this Hoover unit from others is the battery pack - a battery that is part of the ONEPWR system that has interchangeable batteries - a nice option if you are using one of the ONEPWR leaf blowers and need a temporary second battery. Or you can borrow another battery from that system for this vac if you have a heavy duty cleanup that goes past the about 30 minute usage time of this unit.
At first I thought this unit would be hard to use because it is larger than a cheaper unit, but it is well balanced and has attachments like a wand or brush that you can use for various sources.
I used it to clean a mid-sized car's interior and it worked well and its longer snout did have an advantage cleaning around the seats whereas a smaller unit would not be able to do this. Cleaning under the seats also was better than some smaller units.
Overall this is a worthwhile unit that should be more durable and last longer since the battery is not built into the unit and is available to be replaced or used for other ONEPWR systems.

Pretty Powerful Hand-Vac

The Hoover ONEPWR Dust Chaser is a pretty good hand vaccuum for various tasks around the house or in the garage (AKA your car). It comes with two attachments, one for dusting and one for upholstery. It is pretty lightweight (it can be fatiguing after 30 minutes of using it) but not too bad. Cleaning it out after each use is a breeze and the filter is good quality and is HEPA rated which is a plus for those like me who suffer from allergies. I used it to dust my blinds (wasn't that productive but still nice) clean the couch (very nice) and pick up dust and crumbs around the house. This thing will suck anything up in front of it and does a good job at cleaning up small messes. It also worked great in the car, that is a big plus in my book.
The gripes I have with this vacuum are:
- The battery life is pretty short, only 30 minutes on a full charge (which takes like 1.5 hours to get to) This is annoying if you need a full day of cleaning with it, e.g couches, car, blinds, messes.
- It doesn't come with a stand to put it on like other hand-vacs or anything to put the attachments in. Not a big deal, just for the price, that would've been a nice add-on
- The power button easily gets bumped when cleaning and sometimes you will accidentally turn it off mid suck.

Say Hello to My Little Friend!

I absolutely dread having to drag out my upright vacuum for small jobs. It’s such a hassle to roll it out of the closet, unwrap the long cord, detach the hose & pull out the extender handle for a 2 minute task, then have to put it all back again. Oh how I wish I’d had this little tool years ago.
This Hand Vac is lightweight, yet powerful. It has a nice extender, with an easy-flip brush on the end (perfect for baseboards). It’s long enough to reach into ceiling corners, and the best part is … it’s cordless! We have a serious spider problem in the summer and now I can get rid of the pesky critters in a snap. This is a tool that everyone could use, so it’s going to be one of my go-to gifts for weddings, birthdays & Christmas.

It could suck harder

While it may not be the handheld vac with the hardest suction, it has other features that make up for it. For one, it has an interchangeable battery. That means when the battery capacity starts failing (and it eventually will with any battery), you don't have to buy a whole new vacuum, just a new battery. Two, that battery is interchangeable with other products in the ONEPWR line. For example, I also have the sweeper, so if I'm using one tool for so long that the battery runs down, I can just grab the battery from the other one and keep going. Third, it is pretty sleek. It's not bulky itself, and the attachments are well designed for storage and use. It's easy to get the battery on and off, and it's easy to get the dirt receptacle on and off for emptying. There's not a ton of capacity, so you might need to empty it more often, but it's easy to do. Finally, while I did say it could suck harder, it does suck sufficiently. It's not going to stun you with its power, but it's perfectly adequate for most jobs.

Cool Design But a Bit Lacking

This Hoover ONEPWR Dust Chaser has a sleek space-age look and feel to it. The battery is large and so is the charger, but it's a nice cradle-type charger. The ONEPWR battery is meant for use in several Hoover appliances, some much larger than the Dust Chaser.
So..with that said, we get to the issue of the Dust Chaser not seeming very powerful, and unable to hold more than a few tablespoons of dust and dirt at a time. There is a two-stage filter and the primary one is readily accessible when you open the dust reservoir. Once the fine dust starts clogging that up, you start to lose suction. There are included nozzles with bristles and a wider mouth. But, instead of being the lightsabre that attacks your housecleaning projects, it's more like an anteater that's not in the mood for devouring anything.
One thing I find annoying is that the power on/off button is right where your thumb wanders when holding the Dust Chaser like a long-barrel pistol. You turn it off by accident a LOT.
You could buy about 3 leading cordless hand-vacs for the price of this one too, so I don't know as if it's a must-have.

This is a powerful handheld vacuum. In the right hands, the house would be incredibly clean.
The battery lasts much longer than I expected on one charge. I have had to charge it a few times, and it charges very quickly. I probably use it for around 15-20 minutes at a time before it requires charging.
Figuring out a good place to store it with the charger is the most complicated part of getting this.

This handheld vacuum is powerful. I mainly tested this product in my truck and doing small messes around the house.
Pros: Last Very Long on a single charge. I got over a week of moderate usage on one charge.
Solid construction- not flimsy but solid molded plastic.
If you are looking for a portable hand vacuum for the car, this is a top choice as it’s able to reach in those tight spots!

Thankfully I had 2 cars to really put this hand vac to the test to see how it really worked. Decent suction that was able to get most debris up with ease. Battery life was ok...but to be fair most cordless vacs don’t have the greatest battery life. It will get through job done so it’s not a deal breaker. Overall this is a decent option if you don’t already have a full size vac with a detachable hand vac option or if you need something that is dedicated.

This hand vac is simple to use and comes with a few different attachments. The container is quite small but it’s doable. What makes this great is the fact you have this system where one battery will work with multiple devices without having to worry about different batteries for different vacs or anything.

Cordless Hand Vac Spot On!

The new Hoover Dust Chaser cordless handheld vacuum really sucks (LOL!). Literally, this beautiful sleek vacuum has a lot of sucking power, especially for a cordless handheld! I haven’t had a handheld vac in quite some time and it seems they have vastly improved!
This vacuum comes simply packaged with the vacuum body (which somewhat resembles a sawed-off shotgun! Maybe that’s just in my mind!!), a rechargeable battery & OnePWR Hoover specific charger and 2 accessories - an upholstery attachment and a crevice tool that extends with a folding brush arm. It also has an attached and easily removable dust cup and behind that, a rinsable filter.
I do find that what I vacuum mostly gets sucked up and attached to the edges of the inside screened basket. Because of this, it would be nice if this came with a little brush of sorts to easily remove what gets attached. Not a deal breaker, just would be nice.
Other than that, this vacuum performs well. It has a narrow opening and so it has a narrow cleaning path, but because it has such great sucking power, it still pulls the dirt in extremely well.
I really like this Hoover cordless hand vacuum and I highly recommend it.

Small and powerful...

I'm going to start with the unboxing, it so simple because practically everything comes in its place there is no need to assemble. Once you pull out the vacuum just connect the battery and is ready to go.
Aesthetically it looks amazing and feels pretty good, I think its a little bit heavy, but because of the battery capacity it cant be used more than 30 minutes in a continue use, therefore the weight is not a big deal. It has this 2-in-1 dusting and crevice tool that make the cleaning more effective especially in small areas when the regular vacuum cant be used.
It can be controlled with a single button and comes with a detachable and washable filter which is really ease to clean. It makes noise like any other vacuum but its not annoying, you get use to through the time.
The only thing I can say that the hand-vac can be improve, it would be the battery capacity which is a little limited, even though it is powerful compact vacuum, most of the times I used to clean my car and I can recommend it if you want to keep yours clean or any surface you thing is not that reachable with your regular vacuum, it worth the price.

Excellent power with one drawback

I rate this more like 4 1/2.
It has great power, it's sleek and versatile. I've been using it for everything from cleaning the vents above head to grabbing spiders in high places. It's nice not to have to break out the big vac as often. The furniture attachment is great for quick couch and auto jobs. Very satisfied with this vac.
The single negative has to do with the vac's greatest feature, the battery system. If you are building an ecosystem of ONEPWR devices, having a standalone charger for plug and play batteries make perfect sense, but if you just plan on buying a single product, I think it's an oversight to not be able to charge the battery while attached to the vac. Whenever you need to charge, you have to remove the battery and place in it's cradle. So in order to have a "always ready-to-go" vac, you essentially have to have several batteries always on charge. And being that each battery may give 30 minutes at best and takes 3-4 hours to charge, you definitely want to have a spare ready to go. Not a deal breaker, but a bit of a nuisance.
Battery issue aside, great vac and would recommend!

Useful Cordless Hand Vac

The Hoover ONEPWR Dust Chaser Cordless Hand Vac is a nice, light-weight vacuum. It is compact, easy to use, and has useful attachments. The charging system doesn't use a lot of counter space and works really well, but wish the "running time" was more than 35 minutes.
The suction of the vacuum is quite good and picked up everything in its path in the areas I used it in.
I like the "rinsable filter" so that it can be cleaned to remove small dust particles.
My only complaints were that the "waste bin" is rather small and it was cumbersome to remove from the main device. My husband's much larger fingers had a lot of difficulty pushing the button to release the waste bin in the awkward position you had to hold the vacuum to release the bin.

I am a big fan of a couple of power tool brands that use this "one battery" concept and so I am super excited that Hoover is venturing into it as well. Having just one battery to charge and keep up with makes my life a lot easier! This vacuum looks super cool and definitely does it's job and does it well. It doesn't hold a whole lot of dirt/hair/etc but I wouldn't expect it to, it helps clean up quick messes which is just what I needed. I'm also really excited now to try a few other items in this line!

Hmmm... well we all know what it does. It's a hand vac.
What I like: it works, it picks up. It has typical attachments. I am not a fan of white products, but it looks very nice.
What I did not like: Why is it so extra loud? To show off all that supposed extra power? Not a super big deal, but sheesh. I don't like the gun-style (sorry I don't know how else to describe it) of it. If I'm hand vaccing, it is much easier to push along a straight handle. Lastly, it is far too heavy once that battery goes on it. Sorry but I don't need to break my wrist while hand vaccing.
Most of my dislikes can be overlooked and are not a big deal except for one. The weight. It is ridiculously heavy for a hand vac. That huge battery that I have to remove and put back just to charge it (oh yeah, another con) is heavier than the actual vac.
It's nice looking, but I am not really a fan. I gave it a three because it's not terrible and it does what it's supposed to do. I'm being nice. But I would not recommend.

This little vacuum is actually smaller then I envisioned. Looking at the pictures it looks big but it is actually very slim and small. Its the perfect size for quick pick ups and cleaning. The trash bin is super small so don't expect to clean a larger area with this, but if you just have a small area to clean its perfect. It has surprisingly good suction and does a good job for small debris and dust. I like that it has a removable battery so you don't have to wait around for it to charge, you can just pop in a new battery and keep going (only comes with one battery though). Its easy to use and since its so light its not tiring to hold. Fairly quiet for a vacuum it wont ring your ears. This is so advanced compared to the old "dust buster" type of vacuum. I had one of those and hated it, it would not pick up anything, but this little guy actually has some power and one pass will usually get everything so its a real time saver. I like this onepwr idea, and will consider looking into the other vacuums that share the same battery, its a great concept.
