Hi Xander, thank you for reviewing the Hoover ONEPWR Spotless Go Cordless Handheld Deep Cleaner. We are here to help! If you are noticing your unit is not effectively picking up stains, make sure you are putting down enough solution/water to fight against the stain and not just a small amount. Dog beds and couches that are very pourous will naturally require more solution/water than other surfaces. For any other questions, please email us at [email protected] with a reference to your review and your model number. Thanks, Hayley - Hoover ONEPWR Team Hoover

Had to return thebotme due to battery life. Ran unit for 10 minutes half way done and the power went out. Meed to charge for another 1 hour before I was able to finish off the job. Cordless means nothing if the job ain't done.

This unit does what it was designed for well. I have a dog and four cats, so accidents happen frequently. Thank goodness we do not have to pull out the full size deep cleaner each time. There is no cord so it easily reaches anywhere needed. It is not super powerful, but most small messes do not require much to effectively cleanup. It is easy to fill up the cleaner reservoir and it easily empties out into a sink. Anyone who has pets will benefit from the convenience this unit provides in a quick cleanup.

Right off the bat, I do have to call the product out for one thing. If you look at the pictures Hoover has posted online and placed on the box, you will see quite a lot of smiling people cleaning up after suitably chagrined looking dogs. After spending about two weeks putting this thing through its paces with the "help" of my dachshund, I can say that there was very little of either going on whenever I took this out. But my carpets do look considerably better than they would have otherwise. Operation of the cleaner is very simple. You fill up the cleaning reservoir, plug in the battery pack, and press start. From then on just about everything is done with the cleaning head, which combines a sprayer, brush, and vacuum in a single unit. There's not too much complexity going on there - the brushes aren't motorized, the vacuum doesn't have an abundance of power or any special tricks to coax liquid out of the carpet, and the sprayer distributes the cleaning fluid in a broad fan roughly the same width as the brush head. But for the most part that's all you need. A few minutes of scrubbing and about a dozen passes with the vacuum won't be enough to completely eliminate any stains left in a light colored carpet, but it does eliminate most of the odor and reduces the coloration down to an acceptable level. The stains will still show up under a blacklight, but they're a lot dimmer than what's left after using my previous go-to of conventional cleaners and paper towels. The machine did a little less well on some of the older stains that had been set in the carpet from previous incidents. I suspect this is mostly the result of the specific cleaning formula that comes with it, which Hoover strongly recommends be the only thing you use with it. It's pretty decent at picking up fresh stains and was able to pick up at least a little of the older stuff, but the improvements were nowhere near as dramatic. It receives full marks for cleanup though. The holding tank is a bit on the large size but still small enough to fit in a bathroom sink, and features a straightforward design with very few places for crud to get caught inside. Rinsing it out after each use is pretty much all you need to get the job done - and flushing out the brush and hose is almost as effortless. In short, this isn't going to replace a full carpet cleaner. But if you've got something like it on hand when the accidents do occur, you'll likely find you'll be needing one a lot less often.

    Perfect for pet stains

When I opened this package, I was surprised at the lack of instruction. There was a quick start guide and one with more detail, but they didn't give a whole lot of information. I was also surprised that this didn't use any water for rinsing or diluting of the cleaning solution. It came with a small sample that filled the cleaning solution reservoir perfectly. I have an older dog that has issues now with his bladder so testing this product in my house would be perfect! I love the size of the unit. It can go anywhere with minimal weight. The battery charges fairly quickly. I sprayed in an area that has a few stains, but I didn't do the whole section. I did a spot in the middle to do a comparison. After I ran the cleaner and suctioned up the excess solution, I waited for it to dry. It looked much better compared to the rest of the area around it. A couple of days later, it looked better still. I had used all of the solution and bought more. I didn't think to save the sample so I could easily get more, I had to research what it was. In searching, I found out the pet cleaning solution is full of enzymes that keep working even after the initial cleaning! I found that to be true! Great product! I am so happy to have this great spot cleaner! My only complaint, and it's a minor one given the portability of the entire unit, is that the hose is a bit short. I wish it were longer. Other than that this is perfect for pet stains!

    Mixed feelings

This cleaner is basically a shop vac that runs on batteries that was designed for spot cleaning. Running on batteries is a definite plus as it seems every time I would need something like this there would be no outlet within reach! The hose length could be longer though. From what I found, it seems to work the best on fresh stains, older ones needs more pre-scrubbing before using this cleaner. That's where the mixed feelings come in though. You need to pre-scrub/blot any stains before using this cleaner. In the long run, is it really worth the effort to drag out this cleaner, or to just finish the job with some old fashioned scrubbing and blotting (which you're going to have to do anyhow with this cleaner!) It's a neat gadget, and I'm not getting any younger - I guess I'd rather use this than to scrub !

I was not expecting this to work as wonderfully as it did. We used it on several small stains (Tends to happen when you have a toddler), and it got all of them without an issue. The battery charged fairly quick and it was ready to go. I am very impressed by the ease of use and by the quality of the product.

I have a two story house and my entire downstairs is tile floor. I didn't really feel like I had a need for a full size carpet cleaner, but my carpeted stairs are difficult to clean. I love that this Hoover cleaner has no cord. Having a battery in this makes it SO easy to grab for a quick spot clean without having to lug a full size carpet cleaner up the stairs. Not to mention then attempting to balance it on the stairs to actually clean them. This is ideal for someone with pets. I've had a few mishaps with my dogs over the years and getting to those spots has never been simpler or quicker. I think the cleaner does a good job of getting the offending material out of my carpet and leaving it feeling (and smelling) clean. The hose attachment is a little shorter than I might have liked, but it still gets the job done. I found the cleaner to be effective on both some older stains and fresh spots. Overall, I'm very happy with results and convenience.

When the opportunity came along to get this Hoover ONEPWR Spotless Deep Cleaner I had to try it. I have two dogs who mostly don’t make many messes, but when they do, this really comes in handy. I got to ry it out this past weekend when my dog go sick and threw up on our white carpet. I got out the cleaner put it together added the solution and water and got to work. It took just about five minutes and the stain was gone. The Hoover worked perfectly. This seems to be the perfect solution for me, it is small, light and cordless. I just keep the battery in the cradle and it is always ready to go. For such a small, cordless and portable machine it is remarkably powerful. Clean up is easy just remove the tank and brush run under the tap and rinse, nice and simple. If you have pets, get this you wont regret it.

Pretty impressive little spot cleaner. If you have a pet then you probably have some stains on your carpet like I do. I have a few old stains that needed cleaning and this one did okay with them. For newer stains, this works pretty well. However I noticed for older stains, it took a couple tries to get the spot clean. Not a huge thing considering the size of this unit. For one of the larger, vacuum sized carpet cleaners this probably would've been an issue but this is fine in my opinion. The unit is very portable so you can take it with relative ease to any of your family/friends house to let them use it. The solution seems to be okay but I'm guessing you could probably use any old carpet cleaning solution. The water tank tends to smell after a couple scrubs so just be aware of that. For small spot jobs, I think this thing works pretty well. For some older stains though, you'll need to use some extra elbow grease.

This vacuum did a great job cleaning up several dirty spots in my carpet. I sprayed the solution and waited about 5 minutes, then used the brush attachment to clean the area and the suction tool to soak up the moisture from the carpet. I do wish the vacuum had a motorized brush tool for those really tough jobs. Being cordless is convenient for those times when there is no plug outlet nearby or you just don’t want to lug around a chord or extension chord.

This cleaner is incredible! In the past, we've had to use a large, bulky cleaner when our cats make a mess. This unit is so much better to use - it's not heavy, and no cord! The battery holds a charge for a good while as well. This unit cleans up our cat's occasional hairballs beautifully - our carpet is like new again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
