The first time I opened the box to start cleaning my house, this baby does the job making vacuuming a lot faster and easier thanks to the HEPA vacuum bags being more secure to the unit compared to the older Hoover upright bagged vacuum cleaners.

So far great vacuum that does the job for my 2 bedroom apartment with a cat. Didn't want to spend alot and this does the job. The quality of material is fairly good just don't abuse it.

I was tired of bagless vacuums so decided to try and original. This has been the best purchase I've made in awhile. Picks up everything perfectly. So far so good

It was a good price. The delivery was very timely. I would have liked, however, a retractable cord. Good pickup.

This vaccum is great for a family exspecially one with a pet! It does a great job on carpet and hard wood floors.all the xtra parts are helpfull too

we have used this vacuum over the last 10 years almost exclusively. We love it. It's weakness and strength are the same-it has a bag you have to empty.

Also wish it had a brush for tools like my old Hoover had. That would be good for getting edges.

This vaccum works great, needs to come with at least 1 more bag, i filled out the one that came with it in a week.

What a huge disappointment! The vacuum is built so cheaply and the cover did not completely close. This was the 2nd Hoover I purchased in less than a month..Two different models and both were junk. I bought a Shark Navigator Lift Away and I can honestly say it is the BEST vacuum ever!!. I own a pug and the amount of dog hair this thing sucks up is amazing.

It lives up to its expectations and more. Great tool if you have pets!

2 weeks ago I finally banished my 12 lb. Eureka - Pet Lover Bagless Upright Vacuum - Mystic Purple to the basement. See my review for issues. I just got my Hoover last week and am SO please! First of all, it is only 3 lbs. heavier than the Pet Lover, but built so much better. Where the Eureka has plastic wheels that scratched my wood floor the Hoover has not only large rubber wheels, but a clear rubber bumper that leaves no marks on my furniture. Even though this is not a self-propelled vacuum, it moves so easily. The suction is great and the 30' cord is wonderful - now I can vacuum the entire upstairs and stairs and only plug it in once - my husband likes this. My only complaint right now is that the door that holds the bag comes off pretty easy and so you can't use it to carry the vacuum, but maybe that might change if I use different bags and not the thick carbon bag that came with the vacuum. All in all this Hoover has it all over Eureka. I would definately recommend this to a friend.

I loved my old Hoover. I'm not crazy about this newer one. It makes a squeaky noise I cannot find the root cause of. Regardless of the setting, it still sucks up my bathroom rug. Maybe I haven't figured it out yet but so far not impressed. I was going to return it but missed the 15 day cutoff.

You get what you pay for. It does a reasonable job

If you have pet hair this is not the vacuum for you. Balled hair up and spit it out. Got stuck on brush roller. Vacuum bag is Very Small. Barely got living room vacuumed when I had to change Bag.

I've had this about a month. Gone from daily vacuuming to 2x a week! It does a great job getting the dog hair out of the carpets. I have two dogs both with double coats and it used to take 2-3 passes with the old Eureka to get up all the hair. I prefer the bagged cleaners as I have allergies and emptying the containers is a torture. Also researched cleaners - this one was highly rated by Consumer Reports and bag cleaners in general do a better job in cleaning. The push button on/off switch has a lot of "play" so far I haven't had problems. Also, the carry handles aren't real great - I found the one at the bottom (under the light) to be the sturdiest.
