I first tried it out on 6x5 section of carpet. I was impressed with the Carpet cleaner. It seamed to pull out tons of dirt. However, it unravelled my carpet that was 1&1/2 yr old... I called Hoover co. And they thought the beater bar was too aggressive for my carpet. They were willing to ship me another model that might be compatible with my carpet. But I just returned it to the store and will research again for another one.

Very easy to use and clean, picks up a lot of dirt, water was black!!! Seems to be very durable.

In my 40+ years of cleaning my home carpets I have to say this is the best machine I have purchased. The ease of operation filling clean water & dispose of dirty carpet contents is an A+, all tools are easy attach also. This cleaner has Scrubbing brushes that really do a great job and also the fact that you can rinse with ease makes a big difference in my book. Highly recommend this machine and the price isn't bad either

We were in need of a carpet scrubber and decided to see what options Best Buy had. They price match most products and their customer service is phenomenal. We pick out this model because it has more brush heads than a similar model. It was very easy to put together but there were issues from the start. Another review mentioned a gasket issue on the dirty water tank, same thing for us. It's frustrating and irritating but not completely a deal breaker. It'll make you not want to touch the thing anymore but it's a gasket, we're men, we figure out solutions. Our deal breaker was when it frayed our carpet. We vacuum the floor, put everything together, try the rug scrubber on carpet and notice all this debris and fuzz stuff. We have a couple of dogs so didn't think much right away. But the fuzz just kept on coming. In a 3x3 section, two handfuls of this wet fuzz. Closer inspection, we determined it was carpet fibers. We had a hard time believing it so we let it sit over night. The carpet was still wet the next day. The carpet is now a different color and texture. At some point, we'll need to buy a new room's worth of carpet to fix the damage this cleaner caused. I'm sure the scrubber works well for some, maybe even most. If you have high carpet, do not use this. Short carpet would likely be ok but I'd still be concerned about the lack of water the machine sucks, the ill fitted gasket and how loud the machine is. Pros: appearance, size, weight, ease of use, cool factor Cons: it ate my carpet, nuisance gasket on water tank, hard to clean, very loud, lack of suction, and it ate my carpet. Best Buy returned the machine and I purchased another that has met my standards.

Light and easy to move on carpeting. I really like the separate water and cleaner chambers - I can clean then give the area an extra rinse without having to empty the chambers. My only complaint is that I wish it left the carpet drier.

Replaced our broken Bissell with this Hoover. It is wonderful. Lightweight, compact and it cleans like you would not believe. We had just cleaned our carpet a week prior to this purchase but when we got home we used it right away. The water was black. Could not believe it. Would highly recomend this product.

After doing a lot of research, I decided to purchase the Hoover Power Path Pro FH51102 carpet cleaner. I gave it a 5-star rating, although there are a few things that could be improved: the hot water capacity could be larger and the machine could perform better at cleaning more difficult soiled areas of the carpet. Otherwise, it's working really well, does not leak, is not overly noisy, and removes most of the water from the carpet (similar to a professional cleaner). After reading others' reviews that complained of leaking, noise, bubbling of the cleaning fluid, not removing water from the carpet, etc., I was at first skeptical about buying this Hoover. But, after reading and following the instructions, and using the Hoover cleaning fluid as directed, I found the Hoover to work very well--I had no problems whatsoever. I think that other users may not have properly secured the hot water reservoir, which may allow water to leak, and they were not running the machine numerous times over the carpet to remove the dirty water. Regarding noise, I found the Hoover to be no louder than a typical vacuum cleaner. I think the best use of the Hoover is to clean smaller rooms. Otherwise, it's very time-consuming due to the limited hot water capacity and needing to empty the dirty water reservoir often. For whole-house carpet cleaning, I will still use a commercial cleaning company, but I highly recommend the Hoover for smaller rooms.

I purchased this carpet cleaner because my old one stopped working. I have been very happy with the results I have gotten. I was able to remove a red fruit spot out of my bedroom carpet that had been there for about 3 months!

I was able to steam clean my moderate sized living area that runs through the formal dining area in just 1day which includes the drying time. The machine is light to travel around and across the room. Changing of solution and water is easy without any hassle. It cleaned deep down dirt but did not completely erase the stain caused by pet urine that has been there for about 3-4 yrs before I was able to shampoo my carpet. But considering the length of time and it's end result...I'm well satisfied enough.

This was my third attempt at buying a rug cleaner. This unit is by far the best of all three. You cannot let it get to dirty where the brushes are and it works very well.

With a new puppy this was a MUST purchase, worked great!! The best part is the easy to clean used water tank. My only complaint was you need to fill it with clean water frequently if you are using it to clean a large room.
