Bought this six months ago, cause I was sick of toting one of the larger ones back and forth from the grocery store. Does a great job, works just as well to keep my carpets looking brand new. I highly recommend dismantling the brushes after every use to clean, as this is what keeps your carpets looking brand new.

Love this carpet cleaner, it is so easy to use and works really well on pet stains. I have used other carpet cleaners and they were bulky and did not have the suction to pull dirt out of the carpet. This Hoover does not have those issues. I love it and would gladly recommend it to family and friends!

Rug cleaner works really well and is very easy to clean after you use it. Completely satisfied with this product.

This Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe Carpet Cleaner does what it is supposed to do. I try to clean my rugs occasionally as a matter of maintenance, so I wanted my own cleaner to keep handy to use when I was ready to clean them--I didn't want the hassle of having to rent from a store. Always vacuum rugs well first. In my opinion the circular bristle brush scrub action works better than a similar name brand cleaner that has a brush action that is more like the brush agitator on an upright vacuum. I like to clean my rugs in one direction, and then do them again in a perpendicular direction. On this cleaner, it is easy to see when the return water needs to be emptied. Try not to get impatient, and go over sections too fast. EXPERIMENTING with your speed of moving the brushes over an area, and with how much cleaner to release are the best teachers. I try to get the carpet wet enough with the cleaner solution so the brushes will do what they're supposed to do (break dirt free from carpet fibers)--but, I try to be careful not to over-saturate my rugs (or, it will take forever to dry). I am satisfied with my Hoover Rug Cleaner.

I bought this product because my puppy had gotten sick on my carpet. I am truly impressed with the performance, ease of use, lightweight carpet cleaner. It was easy to assemble, easy to use, and easy to clean. It did a wonderful job cleaning my carpet. It even cleaned the high traffic areas very well.

Have owned a few Hoover steam vacs through the years. They work well until they break down (usually after a few years from my experience). This unit is sturdy, lighter, with some well thought out convenient features than the other models I used. Overall it does a pretty good job and is affordable. I'm happy with the purchase.

Best carpet cleaner I've ever owned. Very affordable compared to other brands and models and easy to operate.

It is light weight easy to put together. Has awesome suction my carpet was only damp instead of wet. Only took a few hrs to dry.

Love this cleaner! It worked wonders on our dirty carpet which was full of stains from orange juice, strawberry milk, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, spaghetti sauce, etc. Lol due to our toddler :-) soooooo happy we made the investment instead of renting a machine. Definitely recommend it!

I reasearched carpet cleaners a lot before I settled on this. We have about 2000 sq ft of carpets at our house. The carpet preceeds us and is atleast 10 years old. We love the carpet and were looking for a carpet cleaner that does a good job. We also have a new pup who is getting house trained and also 2 small kids. This cleaner does a great job of cleaning the mess. My wife loves the fact that she can switch between wash and rinse. I am removing a star because my wife thinks that the machine gets heated after 30 minutes of use and needs to cool down. She thinks that once it cools down, it works good. We both love how well it cleans. We have had it for a month now and we have used it a bunch. I will update the review once we use it for a couple more months.

This is much better than previous models. It is lighter to carry and easier to clean out the dirty water.

Overall great product. Just hate the small tank size. Know that if you have large space to carpet was it will take quite some time but overall great product.

This thing is amazing. Toward the end of her life, my dog had a hard time "holding it" while I was at work all day and would have accidents from time to time. This was great. There is no trace after using this cleaner. I even used a black light to make sure I was getting it all and not leave residue in the carpet. A wash a rinse in the trick. The machine is light enough to move around and leaves the floor mostly dry after use. Also, the rinse feature is nice when you don't have solution on hand because the heated water still removes the dirt. The only draw back is that the tank can be hard to rinse clean, but I think that would be true with any carpet cleaner.

After reading the reviews on this carpet cleaner and comparing with several other makes, I decided to stay with the Hoover brand. My last Hoover carpet cleaner that I purchased more than 12 years ago is still in good working condition so I passed it on to my son. You can't beat the price for all the features this machine has. The new feature to go over the carpet after it's cleaned with plain hot water to get any soap residue out of the carpet was priceless in my estimation.

I bought this because my adult daughter got a puppy who kept peeing on my carpet. I watched a YouTube video on different carpet cleaners and this one got great reviews. I love that it's simple to use and clean. A small trick I learned in the video was to put a couple tablespoons of liquid Downey fabric softener in the soap compartment with the regular machine soap... it smells wonderful in here! I use it every time the dog comes over so it's used several times a week. My younger children use it in their bedrooms to get the dog smell out of their rooms.

Our Bissell died after only four uses. Repair shop quoted $95-110 so we told them to keep it and bought the Hoover from Best buy based on Consumer Reports ratings and the recommendation of a friend. Ordered online and picked up at the store the same day. We've only used it once but so far it cleans better, faster, and easier than the Bissell.
