So far this carpet washer has been really great! It's quick and cleans great.

This is a powerful little machine and a definite value! It cleans well, it's very user friendly (and I'm only 5'0"). It does a great job - but some things will require pre-treating (you know your home). After several of my friends saw what an amazing job it does, they bought one too!. It allows you to truly maintain your carpet and clean carpet will last longer. The size makes it easy to address a spill immediately or do an entire room or whatever area you want. It doesn't take up a lot of space and it allows me to clean my carpet without renting a machine and risking bringing home something from someone else's home (I doubt the machines you rent are thoroughly cleaned before they go out again). Take good care of it like any equipment and it should last you a long time.

Ive lived at my apartment for a year now and never tried to wash our carpets. This easily pulled up a large black patch from a year of my roommate and I walking into our apartment with our work shoes

This carpet cleaner cleans pretty well. You can see the rotation of the scrubbers in the carpet pile to know they got down fairly deep. We did a test run by our back patio door where there is a ton of dirty traffic and the difference after cleaning the one half was pretty amazing. What I don't like about this cleaner is that it doesn't suck up the dirty, soapy water very well. You really have to push down on it and in fact I have to get down on my hands and knees and really push down on the base of the cleaner to make sure I am pulling up enough of the liquid and dirt to get the clean results I am looking for. Also, you really have to rinse it well, repeatedly after sucking up all the junk or you'll get a film over your carpet which I'm sure will dirty up again real quick. Overall this cleaner cleans, but Hoover should have done a better design for the intake to work like expected.

I live in an apartment I like that it is not heavy and easy to store in front closet. It cleans my carpet perfectly fine. I also love it comes with 3 different attachments.

This machine is a power house! We used to get our carpets cleaned professionally but they never really LOOKED that much better and felt sticky after. This machine cleaned them better than the professionals. Plus the rinse function took all the extra soap out and left the carpets feeling soft. The drying unit had these completely dry in less than 12 hours. We used to have about a day to wait before the carpet was completely dry with the professionals. The attachments are easy to use. I used them on my car upholstery and an old couch. They got out stains that I thought would be permanent. It does a great job on messes small and large. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to help extend the life of their carpets and keep things fresh!

After 3 dogs doing their thing, 2 adults not to carefully paying attention to shoes on or off, or the seasons, this cleaner brought out some extended life to the carpet that should have been replaced 10 years ago. No, it wasn't a walk in the park, but was well worth the price and labor. Hoping for longevity of The Hoover and me to maintain for a while longer.

Cleans Well. Don't like having to refill so often as compared to my previous Bissell.

This is the first vacuum carpet cleaner that I have owned. I usually have my carpets cleaned professionally twice a year. I now realize that even then my carpets were not clean. I vacuum more than 2 times a week and am a bit compulsive with doing a good job. So in one month I have cleaned my carpets twice and I think one more time they will be perfect. The amount of dirt in the water was more than disgusting which propelled me to clean them again. The second time the water was half as dirty so one more time should do the trick. Our carpets look more than fantastic and they are over 10 years old and a light beige color. Great machine and easy to use. Buy it!

IVE USED ONLY HIGH END CLEANERS WHICH COSTS ATLEAST SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS. I WAS ABLE TO GET THIS CLEANER AT A REALLY GOOD PRICE AND IT WORKS AS WELL AS MY OTHER HIGH END CLEANER. I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS CLEANER. IT DOES A REALLY GOOD JOB AND DID I SAY I HAVE TWO DOGS? LOL

Seems to be doing a great job so far. Had older versions of Hoover steam cleaners and was glad that this one has the same performance with an overall lighter frame.

Wanted a hoover smartwash but they were always sold out. Decided to go with this one and its similar to the hoover smart wash. No regrets. Got yhe job done.

We have two dogs that are house trained, but occasional accidents happen. Knowing this we purchased the unit to avoid having to call professionals. The cleaner is good at cleaning after accidents but does take many passes over the area to adequately clean. Overall I like it for the price and would recommend it.

This is worth every penny and I cannot recommend it enough. The dirty water bin does fill quickly. I did my whole house with rhis and the water was literally black.

I owned three Bissells before I got this Hoover. I was specifically looking for a good carpet cleaner...not junk. This Hoover delivered. My carpets were nasty. I have two little dogs that misbehave. I was embarrassed to have people over. This Hoover plus another $40 in carpet shampoo made the carpets presentable. I was amazed! btw -- If you're considering a Bissell, each one died after about two years. They are disposable. I can't tell you how long this Hoover will last, but I will say that it is far easier to clean and maintain then the previous Bissells...I'm hoping that will contribute to a longer life.
