It does a good job to clean up messes and spills. It does a pretty good job for the price point. If you really want a good deep cleaning it is still best to call in the professionals. But this does help keep the carpets cleaner and has helped increase the time between when we call in the pros.

Overall it did a really good job on the carpets, we did need to use additional spot cleaning products for the stains and stair attachment was a little awkward, I did work hard to move furniture and clean the carpet, but saved money over a commercial place. I would recommend this.

After using this cleaner for the first time I did see a vast improvement over my older carpet cleaner. It did an excellent job cleaning the carpet thoroughly and ensuring stains were removed. One down fall for this cleaner is if you let the water sit, it gets cold and doesn't reheat to a hot temperature. I do recommend this cleaner for household jobs.

Easy to use and cleans carpet good! Price was right.

My only complaint is the solution mixing. You are supposed to mix 3 oz of solution with water in the solution tank. You need an outside method of measuring the solution instead of having a fill line on the tank. Not a deal breaker, just a PITA. Very lightweight and easy to move around.

I got this to replace my aged Bissell and it has cleaned and sucked up more dirt outta my carpets in one round than the Bissell did in four or more passes.. I am very impressed with the quality of this cleaner.. Spring cleaning has never been so pleasant to do.. Thanks Hoover for that..

I like my Hoover Carpet Cleaner. It is a wonderful machine. The suction is great and it really cleans your carpet. I love the dual tank that wash and rinse. The color I chose red works for me. The only thing about the machine that is an inconvenience it does not have an automatic cord retriever.

We just used this for the first time and were surprised at how well it eliminated the soiled areas we needed to clean. We are now planning on treating the typical pathways that get more traffic. I think being able to do this periodically, instead of waiting until it gets really bad, will make the process even better.

I replaced our 40 year old cleaner with this one. I have only used it once, and it appears to do a good job. I have to agree with some other reviewers that the soap, in its separate container, seems to be consumed quickly. I'll try watering it down some next time I use it.

This is my first carpet cleaner, and it works great. It sucks up a lot of the dirt in the carpet (water is nice and brown...mmmm). The cleaner is a little noisy, but not that bad. I like the two tanks: one for the cleaner, the other for the dirty water. After cleaning my carpet, the carpet was dry within 30 minutes. I'd recommend this cleaner.

Right price and works well with our doggie stained older carpets. Only issue is that it doesn't heat the water but rather is dependent on you adding hot water, which obviously cools if you don't work quickly. But it still cleans the areas we need it to.

This cleaner works remarkably well despite feeling rather flimsy. We've been very happy with it's performance cleaning up kid stains and dog stains. Spots that we used to labor over with Spot Shot or our now defunct Green Machine come right up with the Power scrub. It's a way better cleaner than vacuum; it tends to clump up wet dog hair on the floor (easy to pick up, at least). The water tank, detergent tank, and dirty water tank are all clear, so levels are easy to tell. All the tanks detach for convenience and the dirty tank detaches separately so it can be drained regularly. We leave some water and solution in the clean tanks to get to spot messes quickly. The all plastic construction keeps weight down, so it is easy to lug up and down stairs, but it also gives it a flimsy feel. I'm tempted to dock it a star for that "feel", but in all fairness, it has been an absolute champ for a few months now. I just hope it lasts with it's lightweight construction.

A very good carpet cleaner for home use. We always used a spot cleaner 'green machine' to clean up after our dogs or grandkids small area stains.... This was our first whole carpet cleaner and it works quite well.

This product is great to used however the holding and solution tanks are not very big. You will do about two sections, the correct way, and it will be time to mix new solution and dump the tank again. If you have time to spare to use it the correct way it works great.

Got tired of flagship bissells breaking once a year and having to get full replacements. This cleans great and overall is a better cleaner than bissell.

I have bought two bessell brand carpet cleaners and it was broken after all. This time, I bought hoover one. I found that it is much easier to take care of cleaning and l don't need to put new water and dump dirty water often compairing previous cleaners. So far, I love this.

I am extremely happy with this carpet cleaner. Easy assembly and easy to use. Love the option of the separate hose for cleaning upholstery and small areas. No issues with leaks and super quick cleanup.
