I smoke and for years I've used the vacuum powder that you can throw down to freshen up the smell. I decided to try a shampooer to replace the amount of vacuum powder I had been using. The shampooer works fine, but all of the vacuum powder that wouldn't be sucked up by the vacuum begins to clump together and doesn't really get picked up all to well. I don't think it's by any design fault, it becomes almost paste/plaster-like when it gets wet. Otherwise, it works great for what it should be used for this. This is not a unit for large domiciles. I live in a 600 sq ft apartment, and it took probably 2 hours to do it, because I had to replace the water tank probably 6 times. But because of limited closet space, and the price jump to the next model above it, this fits my needs overall. I am able to fit it in my closet along with my vacuum cleaner. Would buy again.

Very easy to use and cleanup is a wiz. For something so light weight I was amazed at how good of a job it does on cleaning the carpet. My only complaint is that the cleaning solution bottle empties extremely fast. You can only clean 2 x 6 area with each filling. The dirty water container fills up fast also. Great purchase though

This lightweight vacuum is perfect for households with pets. We have two cats, and one of them vomits on a regular basis. This works great for cleaning up after pet messes. It performs best with fresh stains, as we found that some old stains are just too stubborn. The suction power is very good, enabling the scrubbed, wet carpet to dry relatively quickly. Overall, it's a great investment and I only wish I could have purchased it a lot earlier!

This only serves the purpose of deep cleaning the carpet, cannot be used as a vacuum! Does not serve a dual purpose. Says it’s good for cleaning upholstery, but it tore my mattress up - it did clean it though! Could use a bigger tank - takes several fill ups just to clean one small bedroom.

This carpet cleaner is strong. I see more dirt sucked up compared to my previous carpet cleaner. I like that it’s light weighted and easy for me to clean the stair now. The only thing I don’t like is the hair get tangled in the brush. I have to manually pull it out.

Light weight cleaner with heavy weight cleaning. Easy to use and does the job.

Very good tool for small cleanups. It really pulls the dirt out and the cleaner/water, leaving rugs clean. Much easier to clean out the machine after use than previous Hoover models. Still requires taking apart the roller, brush, and suction piece to really clean out the debris.

The over all product works well we live in a small Apt. It works well for that. However if you have a lot of carpet this one may not be for you. The container that holds the water and soap solution is rather small. You have to refill it about every 50 sq ft. Functions well over all.

Easy to use light weight but powerful shampooer cleans nicely!

This little device is a beast. Does a very great job and it’s very easy to use. Great at getting pet stains out which is what we used it for. Only had to do 2 passes to get the stains and odor out. Only down side to this is the water tank is pretty small so we you will have to empty often.

This cleaner is Exceptional if you read the directions and use it properly. It's very easy to operate which makes it that much better. It cleans my carpets thoroughly and at less the cost of one professional carpet cleaning service pays for itself! I added the 3 year warranty to be safe.

Considering the price this carpet cleaner does a pretty good job. I gave a four star because depending on how big the area is that your vacuuming will determine how many times you have to empty the tank and refill with water and solution. But it’s really easy to setup and use!

This is a very good small area cleaner. It's not large enough to do huge rooms efficiently but works great to clean areas and can do smaller rooms it just will take you awhile. Lots of dirt was picked up!

It's a small and powerful tool. I feel I have to use it twice on dirtier spots but it works great on cleaner spots. But it's my first use. So, I will see how well it picks up my second use. It's a pretty easy clean up and easy to use. If it's your first time using a carpet cleaner, this is a good one.

I highly recommend this carpet cleaner! It’s very affordable, light weight, and it really does the job! We had a permanent blue sharpie stain in the carpet and this little machine got it right out on the first attempt. I also love that it is not bulky! If you’re even considering buying it, BUY IT!

LOVE THIS! I researched so many before choosing this one. I knew I wanted a small light weight carpet cleaner, easy to use and under $100 and this was it! I have cats and with occasional mishaps this was the purrrrfect one!

This was a consumer reports best buy, and we couldn't agree more. It cleans very thoroughly, and is easy to use. Cleaning the machine is straightforward and really easy except for the roller brush area, but that's minor.

This is the greatest, lightest most powerful carpet machine ever! I also bought one for my daughter and my sister. I couldn’t believe the dirty water retrieved. It’s small so just needs frequent emptying but if you can’t handle the heavier carpet machines this is the ONE.

I have a small apartment that needed a deep clean and with some time off, I decided now is the time. It’s the first time that I used curbside pickup and ordering and pickup was a snap. With that said, I unpackaged my Hoover at home, read all directions and got started. I never realized how dirty my carpet really was. It took out everything and left my rooms clean and fresh smelling. I don’t know how it would do for a full sized home because you do have to empty the tank often. But for a small home or apartment, this cleaner has my recommendation!!
