Lightweight Spot Cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been looking for a small, portable spot cleaner so that I don't have to drag out my full size carpet cleaning machine for little jobs. I also want to be able to clean chair cushions and other non-carpet fabrics. The Hoover PowerDash GO handheld cleaner sounded like it might be what I am looking for. MADE IN THE USA in Cookeville, TN! It weighs 7 pounds and has a handle on top for carrying. Six foot hose wraps around the bottom for easy storage. 15 foot power cord has a quick release wrap around holster on the back. It has two brush inserts that fit into the suction head. One with white bristles to scrub stains and an orange pet tool insert with rubber nubs. An 8 ounce bottle of "Paws and Claws" Spot Cleaner was included in the carton. The Fill N Go tank holds 8 ounces and you don't dilute or have to mix anything. Just pour in full strength to the fill line. It doesn't heat up the cleaning solution, just sprays it out the suction nozzle. Scrub the stain or area with the selected brush after spraying some solution using the gray trigger button on the hose. Suction up the excess moisture after scrubbing by tilting and pulling back the nozzle toward you. I did several passes to suction up excess liquid into the dirty liquid tank. I tried a few small spots on the carpet and one lingering stain. Small spots were easily removed and berber carpet dried in a few hours. Bigger stain is a bit lighter. Since I only had 8 ounces of cleaner I then tested cleaning cushions on two dining room chairs. They look brighter but took longer to dry since I think the fabric was "stain resistant". Couldn't find any tags like in the instructions that have codes for fabrics. W for wet cleaning, S/W for solvent/wet cleaning and S for solvent/dry clean only. The Powerdash GO isn't any louder than a small vacuum cleaner and plugs into any 3 prong outlet. Tank of dirty solution is easy to release and remove to pour out and rinse clean for next use or air dry for storage. 8 ounce solution tank limits how long and how many spots you can clean but this machine isn't for big jobs, it is for spills and pet stains. Brushes and nozzle remove and rinse clean easily for next job or storage after air drying. Instructions said to clean red filter below dirty water tank but nothing was really there to clean out. Nicely priced portable machine that is really easy to use but not really what I am looking for so I will re-gift to my boss and her pets.

Works Well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While my partner and I don’t have any actual children, we have a beagle and he is plenty. He is young and gets himself into enough trouble. This includes bathroom accidents in the house and unfortunately the car as well. The PowerDash Go has been perfect for cleaning up the cloth passenger seat that he spends most of his time in when traveling. This spot cleaner is nice and portable so it can be easily moved around the house or out to the garage. It sprays cleaning solution with plenty of pressure for even coverage and has plenty of suction to extract the majority of liquid it spits out. I love that there is a cleaning brush attached to the cleaning head so you can scrub before extracting. Overall, it does an excellent job of doing what it was designed to do. There’s really only one thing that bothers me about this device - that being the small, 8oz cleaning solution bottle. 8oz is more than the entire trial size cleaner that comes with the machine (6oz) and you burn through it quickly (be prepared to buy a lot of solution if you will be doing a lot of cleaning with this guy). The collection reservoir is large, so I’m just unsure why there is such a size discrepancy between the two. I suppose you could use this as a wet vac, but if you need one of those you’ve probably got a mess too large for this to handle. Despite this being a spot cleaner, I would still like to see a bigger bottle on the next iteration of this device.

Works well on small spots, not for larger areas
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Hoover Powerdash GO promises to be able to remove stubborn stains. While we don’t have any pets, we do have 3 kids to clean up after! To be fair, they’re not very messy, but we do have a few stains over the years that can use some cleaning. This includes a stain in my living room carpet and an area rug that’s quite a few years old and needs a cleaning. The carpet stain in the living room is the remains of slime, yes, every parent’s worst nightmare! My wife had cleaned it several times before with various soaps and brushes, but a green tint remained. Enter the Hoover GO! After spraying the spot thoroughly, we let the solution soak in for a bit and then proceeded to use to brush to work the solution in. Then using the front part of the nozzle, we were able to suck up most of the solution. Talk about instant gratification, watching the dirt get sucked up into the clear brush head is kind of fun! I think it’s similar to how some people like looking at a Biore nose strips after it’s peeled. After cleaning it 2 times, the stain was gone! This had been there for probably 2 years. The next test was area rug in my son’s room. It’s a few years old and a brown/beige color. The dirt is fairly noticeable on it. I know this machine isn’t made for large areas, but I just wanted to test it on this 1’x1’ section to see if it’ll clean it as well as the slime stain. After following the same steps, it was noticeably cleaner the remaining area of the rug. I know the Powerdah works because the solution that was now in the vacuum was filthy! I couldn’t believe all that came from the carpets I just cleaned Overall, I like this cleaner, it’s small, so it doesn’t take up much space and it works very well. I wanted to test the Powerdash GO on a Gatorade stain in the trunk of my minivan, but unfortunately, we ran out of the solution. I’ll have to look for a larger bottle of cleaner! Pros: Effective on stubborn stains Small, requires little closet space Cons: Confusing array of solutions/cleaners available. Small sample bottle included

Nice Compact Carpet Cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have three children and as many dogs, two of them being puppies. Puppies have accidents, especially bull-headed ones as I have. This product was made for my household. The unit is pretty basic. It’s fully assembled when you take it out of the box. It comes with two brush heads – one a bristle brush, one a rubber brush for pet messes. That is the only part you have to attach. It was a bit heavier than I expected, but it wasn’t hard to carry. The unit comes with a small bottle of Paws & Claws Spot Cleaner, which is just enough to fill the tank. No water is needed to mix with the cleaner. That’s a big bonus for me. I have floor machines that required mix HOT water with cleaner, which was messy and, when the temp of the water cooled, you’d have to throw it out. With this unit, you dump in the cleaner and go. One thing I will note here is that I had some leakage from the small rubber gasket at the top of the cleaning fluid reservoir. You have to remove and invert the container in order to fill it. A few drops escaped from the gasket. There was moisture laying on the top of the container after I reinstalled it (I try to capture it in a photo, attached to this review). I wasn’t crazy about that. The box has a Quick Start Guide for using the product on the box flap. I had the perfect opportunity to try the unit when one of my pups decided to do their business in one of our bedrooms. Full disclosure: I did pre-treat the stain using an enzyme-based spray. The PowerDash Go is easy to use. You plug it in, turn it on, use the hose/brush attachment to shoot cleaning fluid on the carpet and vacuum it up. Another thing to note is that I wish that either the reservoir was larger, or it came with a larger bottle of fluid (or two of the small bottles, maybe). I used all of the fluid to clean the mess on our rug. The “business” came up right off the carpet. No remnants remained. The smell was pleasant – no overpowering scents here. It was easy to clean. I just removed the dirty water container, dumped it into the sink, gave a quick rinse, and it was ready to go again (well, after I get more cleaner). It’s made in the USA, too! Bonus! If you have an active household, this will be a great spot cleaner for you.

Great Portable Cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this Portable Cleaner, as a father of 4 kids I cant tell you how many stains and just general nastiness there are on the chairs in the dining room. I had been looking for a way to clean these easily and quickly. When I got the Bissell Powerdash Go my hopes and expectations were very high, and to be honest there were easily met by this little machine. Its incredibly easy to set up. You fill the solution plug, connect the hose to the attachment, plug it in and there you go. My only wish if this could somehow work just as well off batteries it would make this much more portable but besides that its incredibly easy and quick to use. It also worked great on stains in the car seats, juice and food stains were gone quickly and almost made my car feel new again. I highly recommend getting one.

Vacuum that sprays water and picks it up
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The idea of having a small vacuum that will use water/liquid to clean a carpet or a couch is nice, but after I've used this a few times it's not what I expected. Essentially this is just a shop vac for water thats smaller, and you need to use the Hoover solution to clean. Sure its nice that you can spay right from the handle while vacuuming, but I could just clean the carpet or couch with a generic solution and use a shop vac to get any of the extra water out. with that said, the vacuum part actually works well so if you don't have something that can vacuum up the water and want a quick way to spray solution and pick it up, then this is a decent product. But the cleaning from the solution isn't anything special, so if you use a wet rag to wipe down a carpet and then use a shop vac to get out excess water, you'd probably have the same success.

Works well on carpeting/rugs, not much else.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this product to clean upholstery in my car as well as the carpeting. It pulled a ton of dirt from the carpet of my car, but couldn't even remove light surface stains/residue on the cloth seats. It also ran out of solution incredibly quickly despite the seat and carpet barely getting wet, I am not sure where it went but it did not spill either. If you want a cheap product to clean a very small amount of carpeting or a rug, this is a worthwhile consideration.

Great for small to medium stains
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With 3 dogs around, every now and then they'll have an accident. This stain remover vacuum comes in hand and is portable and lightweight. Unfortunately, no where in the instructions does it mention anything about adding water to the tank. I know some vacuums may function that way, but would've been helpful if it had explained that this particular model needs some water to use properly. It did come with a small sample of the solution to lift and clean stains which was pretty helpful to start off with. Along with interchangely brushes. One is a regular brush to scrub on the carpet. The other has silicone tips that help with picking up any dog fur along the way. I think it's great for small areas on carpet or on a fabric couch.

Good vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LOVE this vacuum. Easy to use, effective. Only down side is that the hose tends to leak when not in use, and solution gets sucked up quickly. Otherwise great little vacuum for pet accidents on carpet!

Easy, simple but requires some elbow grease
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have ever used a consumer level carpet cleaner, you know the drill with the Hoover PowerDash Go. It works the same way, only smaller. And is easier in some respects. Unlike the big carpet cleaning machines, there is no water to add (cleaning solution is premixed). Just pour the solution (small sample provided) into the little cleaning solution tank, hit the red button and go. As long as you understand this is a SPOT cleaner and not designed to clean large areas, you will be fine. The business end of this gadget is just a small version of carpet cleaner. A nozzle sprays out the solution with the push of a trigger and the small hand-held suction head sucks it back up. You have a choice of a brush or rubber nubbed attachment to rub out the stain. I tried it a set in stain on chair cushion, which my cat had barfed on several months ago and it worked relatively well, after applying some considerable elbow grease. Unlike the big carpet cleaners, there is no powered rotating brush to do the work for you. The scrubbing power rests entirely in your hands. Also be aware multiple passes are required to remove as much of the solution as possible from the fabric once you are through scrubbing. So it is a good bit of work. But since you are only working on a spot, not an entire floor, it is not too bad. The PowerDash is pretty lightweight and simple to use. Add solution, clean spot, turn off, , empty the tank where all the dirty solution ends up. The motor is surprisingly loud but gets the job done. The biggest downside to the PowerDash is the cost of the solution. Since it is premixed, what you see is what you get. In carpet cleaners, you get a concentrate that is mixed with water so it goes a lot further. The counter argument is this is a spot cleaner and therefore uses much less solution. Hoover does not recommend this but I wasn't happy with the idea of leaving the cleaning solution in the fabric when I was done. So I filled the cleaning solution tank with plan water and rinsed the spot I was cleaning after I was done. Then allowed it to dry. In the end, the Hoover PowerDash is a good simple solution to getting rid of spots on carpets and furniture.

Life can be messy. This can help.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this after my kid dumped coffee on the couch. It works pretty well, but the tank is pretty small for bigger jobs, and I wish it had a water tank for rinsing. As it is there is only a detergent tank. Yes, it can be filled with water, but it’s a hassle to have to swap the contents. I’m looking into getting another reservoir to keep with it since they pop right out and back in so I can do the detergent wash with one and then rinse with the other without going back and forth.
