Nice no cords light weight and good battery life.happy wife happy life

I bought this one to replace another Hoover stick vac that only lasted one use. This one is great! It cleans up so good! It is much heavier and there is a little more to it then the simple stick vac I previously bought. But it’s worth it! The battery power is much longer than I expected. It would be nice to have a carrying bag for all the attachments.

This vacuum works great. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs so I had plenty of hair to pick up. Out of the box it is a bit overwhelming at first with all of its parts and attachments. Don’t be turned off by this because initial assembly was quick and easy. I charged the battery the recommended 3 hours and connected the unit. The “traditional” vacuum works really well. It does not have self propelled but it is very easy to maneuver. It has lights so it is easy to see what you are vacuuming. It picked up large amounts of hair. Hair I couldn’t see on my carpet but was definitely in the cylinder. Very easy to clean the cylinder too. I also really like how this can be used as a hand unit for sofa cleaning as well. Cleaned the hair off my sofa and chair in a snap. I have probably used this for a couple of hours total and not needed to recharge the battery yet. Floor sensor technology worked well as it seemed to know when I switched from carpet to hardwood and adjusted the suction accordingly. All in all a very nice unit.

I love the smart sense going from floor to carpet. The downside on this is that it said that it is good for pet hair. It has already been clogged up twice from our pet hair and is a hassle to unclog.

Setup took very little time but the suction power was no match for dog hair. It would be great for the stairs but the suction power didn't pick up the dog hair as desired.

The Hoover REACT is a surprisingly strong contender in the handvac realm. I have used several other competitors and although its suction isn't as strong as one popular English brand, it does a fantastic job. The unit is very light and very easy to set up/switch attachments. The battery lasts a long time, as I've only reached half-way point after vacuuming my 1000sq ft apartment. Emptying the bin is a bit awkward though. Lots of dirt/fibers get caught high in the bin and it's challenging to get them out. The motorized brushhead is great and it auto adjusts to many surfaces like, carpet, rugs and wood/tile. It's a nice feature! It comes with a few other attachments but I haven't the need so far to use them. Overall, it's a great unit and surpasses the Hoover Linx unit I am replacing it with.

Clogs very easy always cleaning it and very poor suction right out of the box. Buy a shark or Dyson save your $$$$

we have a german shepard in our home and this machine is a life savor it is so easy to use and we use it everyday for picking up dog hair and etc

Vacuums really changed in the last few years. The days of the upright seem to be leveling off, and possibly fading to black. Enter the stick and wand vacuums. Battery powered, light weight, and practical. The biggest question becomes can they do the job. The Hoover React Cordless vacuum is a nice entry in this next generation of vacuum. Upon opening the box, you notice there are a lot of pieces. The box is packed using an insert designed to hold all the vacuum cleaner parts individually. Well, there are so many individual parts, they are packed on both sides of the insert. So, when you unpack the box, everything can’t help but fall out. This isn’t a bad thing. The React Cordless basically has just about every attachment you could ever want or need for vacuuming. There are even unique but subtle attachments, like a mini goose neck for attachments used during handheld cleaning. Nice job by Hoover to include all the fixings. The instruction booklet was very straight forward. Of course, the vacuum comes unassembled, but you can have it together for use in about 2 minutes. One of the best features is the removable battery. I think this is great, because it’s possible to purchase replacement or additional batteries. Also, unlike other cordless vacuums, you can charge the battery without hanging the entire unit on some charging mount. I really like the flexibility of storing the vacuum in other ways besides hanging it. Well, how does it perform? I popped in the battery and fired it up. The Reach Cordless has decent suction power for a cordless wand. It also has one of the best brushes I’ve experienced on a small vacuum. I actually vacuumed the room with another vacuum prior to using the React, and the React picked up a considerable amount of dirt and pet hair – we have a dog with long hair. I thought performance was admirable, and the powered nozzle (vacuum head with brush) has one of the best swivel mechanisms you will find on this type of vacuum. I found the React Cordless was very easy to control and push around the floor. It’s not the lightest cordless I have used, but it isn’t cumbersome or heavy for floor or handheld vacuuming. If you vacuum anything high or above the waist, you will get a bit of a workout. I would say a lot of people will start with one hand, and finish with two. Another thing I noticed was the powered nozzle was a little noisier than expected. It almost sounds like the rollers are a little squeaky. This isn’t a showstopper by any means, but it is noticeable. All in all, performance was good. There is also the Hoover app. I don’t know how to feel about the app. Its best features are walking the user through registration and providing a support hub for the unit – this includes a battery meter. Would have been nice if once connected to the vacuum, you didn’t have to enter the model and serial number – heck, you are connected to the device, pull if from the vac. The app, in my opinion, is nearly useless. Maybe, the future holds true diagnostics that include battery charging cycles, motor and brush life, suction power readings, etc. For now, not so much. All in all, I would recommend the Hoover React Cordless. It’s a credible option in the cordless vacuum arena. It has good suction, a large, long lasting battery, and a plethora of options. It is well equipped to perform all the normal vacuum jobs in the average household.

The downside is that it's very hard to empty and can make a mess.

This vacuum sucks. But that’s what it’s supposed to do!! Love it.

I’ve had a few days now to try this out. My first impression is that it is powerful enough to use in place of a corded vacuum. Battery life is pretty good, I’ve been able to do all the carpets in my house on one charge. That also includes cleaning the furniture upholstery, window sills and using the dusting attachment to dust large pieces. I had my wife vacuum the living room with her Dyson, which is where my dog spends a lot of her time. I then took the Hoover REACT and vacuumed the same carpet. To my surprise, I filled the dust cup and had to empty it to finish. That was all I needed to be convinced this is a great vacuum. There are several attachments that come with the vacuum. They are fairly easy to switch out, but you do have to swap out a few times before they become easier to change. I think just being new and tight is the issue, because now everything switches out easy. My favorite attachment is the dusting attachment, it really cleans well, and doesn’t leave anything behind. There is an app you can download, but Unfortunately it won’t open on my iPhone, so I have been unable to try it out. I’ve had an opportunity to try several cordless vacuums, and this is far and away the best of them all. If you want a cordless vacuum, this is the one to get, the others just don’t compare.

It sucks, but not well enough. Pet tools don’t really help with pet hair. Vacuum is extremely easy to use and portable but less suction than most

We have a very large (120#) dog that lives in our house with us, and we needed a lightweight, cordless vacuum for our stairs After exhaustive search, we settled on this hoover This vacuum exceeds all expectations! 1) Very light weight and portable/cordless 2) Super easy to maneuver on the stairs 3) Picks up dog hair easily (ours has the short bristly kind) 4) An attachment for every chore We are using the smaller rotating head for just about everything, and the others for spot treatments on the couch and corners that the standard vacuum will miss Especially like the mounting bracket for the kitchen to keep is ready for a quick job Overall an great product

This Hoover is a pretty good cordless vacuum. It's fairly light, easy to manuever and gets those hard to reach places. Great for getting cobwebs, not so great at popcorn. I wish it had a little more power. Decent battery life and easy to swap out batteries. Overall it looks great and is easy to use!
