DO NOT BUY!!! WORST EVER!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned at least 10 hand vacs and this is by far the worst I've every used. For every five minutes of use time there's 10 minutes taking it apart piece by piece to clean it out otherwise you get non-stop yellow flashing explanation point alert. Worst unit ever.

Posted .Hi Amy1234, We're sorry to hear the REACT Cordless vacuum is not living up to your expectations and want to help! We understand you are having to stop frequently to remove clogs and empty your dirt cup. We have a video that will make having to do this a little easier. Please take a look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0Ux6_s0ng4&list=PLJT0HzQNNNT-Ky2d3Ym7ssIwfEJSoshko&index=3. Also, we recommend cleaning your filter after 3-4 uses to prevent the vacuum from clogging and losing suction. This should also help prevent the yellow warning sign from flashing. We hope this helps, but if you continue to have trouble please don't hesitate to reach out to our Cordless Customer Service team at 1-888-679-2121 or message us on any of our social media pages! Amazing cordless vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Hoover - React Whole Home Cordless Pet Stick Vacuum is truly a great product. It has been awhile since I’ve owned a cordless vacuum and my prior experiences left me questioning the battery life and power of all cordless vacuums. I’m happy to report that this particular cordless vacuum quickly eased my worries with its exceptional performance. This vacuum has great suction, great attachments that really come in handy, and the handheld part is great for upholstery and cleaning up high. The automatic floor sensor feature is awesome and does a great job of sensing the difference between carpet and hard floors. Overall, I am very pleased with this vacuum and I highly recommend it!

Decent Battery Life. Nice Cleaning Power.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned and tested many vacuum cleaners in recent years including traditional ones and stick vacs. The best vacuums I have ever used so far are offerings from Shark and the Hoover React Whole Home Cordless Pet simply falls short where it matters most. *** DESIGN *** Beautiful, modular looking look with a dashboard area showing battery life and active cleaning modes. Includes 5 attachments including the power stair head which has worked very well for us. Trigger pressing feature allows quick or continuous suctioning. Included lights are great for vacuuming low light level areas like underneath furniture or beds. *** PERFORMANCE *** The Hoover does a very good job of picking up our cat's pet dander and loose hair all around the house. Easy to navigate and swivel around our carpeted, tile and wooden floors. With that being said, it's overall cleaning power is not as strong as my Shark products. Hoover seems to need a few runs to optimally clean certain carpeted areas. It does a good job overall but not as good as other rival vacuums. *** CONCLUSION *** The Hoover React Cordless Pet vacuum is all in all a good vacuum with it's strength clearly cleaning up after your loving pets. Multiple attachments allow for different cleaning situations, battery life is solid and vacuum appearance is attractive and appealing. Great stair cleaning tool! Cordless vacuum market is becoming very competitive and I still favor Shark over most brands but Hoover has some promise with these recent releases.

Easy setup
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box it looks intimidating with all the parts that it comes with. But really it’s simple to put together. I didn’t need to read the directions. Out of habit I charged the battery before I first used it. For a cordless it works pretty good. It’s not as powerful as a corded vacuum. However it still gets the job done with power to spare and battery life left. I have hardwood flooring through the house. Carpet in two rooms. It was able to work on both surfaces with no problem. I have three dogs one of which sheds horribly but this vacuum picked up all the hair no problem. It worth money in my opinion.

Awesome Cordless Vacuum for Pets
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Hoover React Cordless vacuum really is for your whole house. We have tile, floor rugs and carpeting and it changes the brush roll based on the area you are vacuuming. Great suction to get deep down in the carpeting. I was grossed out by the amount of dirt that came from my house the first time I used the vacuum. It comes apart for a handheld vacuum which is great for furniture or smaller spaces. It has a reach wand which is great to clean fans, the tops of your curtains or high pictures. I love that is is cordless. No more moving the plug from room to room or tripping over the cord. It is great!

Convenient and Versatile Vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little hesitant to believe that a cordless vacuum could work as well as a plug-in version, but I have been proven wrong. Not only does this battery powered vacuum provide good suction but the battery lasts long enough to vacuum our entire 3 story home. Other positives about this vacuum include its versatility and convenience. The convenience of having a cordless vacuum means you don't have to roll out, plug-in and carry around a heavy vacuum. It is also easy to carry up and down the stairs, or out to the boat or car for cleaning. The versatility of the vacuum is also spectacular. Because it is hand held you can easily maneuver it through tight spaces. It also comes with several attachments that you can use to get into hard to reach places. And finally, the ability to "react" to hard floors versus carpet make it so easy to use, and it actually does react to the different floor types. As far as the negatives go, the only two things I would mention are the rather small size of the cleaning brushes and that there are more tools that come with the vacuum than can be stored on the mounting rack (at least as far as I could figure out so far). Regarding the brush size, it is really not a negative because I've noticed most other new vacuums also have smaller brushes than they used to. Also, the smaller brush does make it easier to carry and maneuver. Overall, I am impressed with this cordless vacuum and would highly recommend it.

Long battery life
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second vac from Hoover. Still using a Hoover Windtunnel Savvy upright with a paper bag. First thing I noticed is that U have to place the rechargeable battery into a big, ugly, desktop charger. Living in a one bedroom condo, U can imagine my space constraints. However battery life can be 5-6 days which is a big plus. The head cannot be cocked into a position to make it easier to roll around. The Shark has this feature. Vac does have lights so U can see what UR doing in low light conditions. As far as sucking power, didn’t find it any better than a Shark. Wall mount included which is nice. U have to buy one for a Shark. Cordless pet vacs seem better suited for hard surfaces IMO. They are also convenient for use on stairs and in UR vehicle. But will keep using my Savvy for carpets on a level surface.

nice stick vac
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first stick vacuum. In the box there were lots of parts. Most are attachments that can be used for different surfaces. The stick vacuum is light, and not too noisy. I thought it would be great for my stairs, and it is. The only downside is that the stair attachment rubs on itself and makes an awful loud screech. I have tried adjusting it but the sound doesn't stop. When using the floor cleaner you can feel when the rollers change speed. It does this from carpet to hard flooring. It does a nice job of vacuuming on all the surfaces I have used it on. It's footprint is small though so I don't recommend it if you have mostly carpeting, it's not designed for that. The cup that holds the dirt and grime comes off easily and dumping it is not difficult. I did notice that a lot of cat fur was stuck at the top, I used a screwdriver to sweep it out. Overall I think this is good product, I have always liked Hoover vacuums, because of the incredible noise and the inability to just dump the dirt cup I gave it 3 stars.

Posted .Hi Skylord, Thanks for taking the time to review the REACT Whole Home Cordless Pet Stick vacuum. We’re glad to hear you like it so far! We have a recommendation for emptying your dirt cup that we think could make this process a little easier. Check out this video on emptying your dirt cup (https://youtu.be/BysFPIJT3Lg) or follow these steps:
1. Press the Dirt Cup Release button
2. Next press the Dirt Empty button over a trash bin
3. Pull out the separator from the top of the dirt cup (this is the part with the rinsable filter on top. The entire piece is removable).
4. Wipe away the dirt and debris with a microfiber cloth.
We certainly hope this helps! If you continue to run into issues please reach out to us directly at 1-888-679-2121 for further assistance. Thanks! Jenna

Works well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely a convenient option. Love the fact that I can just grab this and vacuum without having to deal with cords. Decent suction and adequately does it’s job. I’ve tried other brands that have a slightly better advantage when it comes to suction in the same price range but this one is still a great option with the added perk of being cordless.

Quite Decent, but Why Bluetooth?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I guess I’ve come down with a bit of a vacuum collector over the past few years. It started years ago with a upright vac, moved to one of those combined vacuum carpet cleaner units, got an automated cleaner, and now we have a Hoover React. I might not be as well traveled as some other people, but I think I have a few ideas. So - now that we’ve gotten past my little vacuum obsession... Things that impressed me: I would be remiss if I didn’t start this review by talking about how amazingly light this vacuum is even when fully loaded. At around four pounds, I think the only lighter vacuum I’ve picked up has been a dustbuster - and this vacuum can do far more in about the same space. It impressed me early on by being able to get completely under my bed. As in, the entire vacuum fit under my bed with ease (new problem: hitting the support posts in the middle of my bed - never thought I would have this problem). Now I can claim the underside of my bed will always be clean! The main brush-head is about 2” tall - making it fit even under my couch with ease. I honestly view this appliance as a mix between a canister vac and a dust-buster. It has the ability to get into amazingly small spaces and clean, just like a canister vacuum would be able to do, but it also has the device at your hand and all the accessories I would expect in a dust-buster. Unlike a dustbuster and my full sized vacuum though, physically cleaning this one is amazingly easy. One button on the front to dump the bin, one on the back to disconnect the canister entirely, and one yank to get the metal filter out. With my current full sized vacuum, the metal filter still gets dirtied. I might have objects similar to the first two buttons, but after that I need to grab a screwdriver. I’m not going to claim that the last part is all that easy on this unit either, but the thing is - I can do it by hand and in five minutes. An amazing plus as far as I can see. Also worth mentioning is the FloorSense technology they’ve included in the primary motorized head. It (relatively) intelligently picks the difference between carpet and hard floors, to include differing heights of carpet. Overall, the feature seems effective, but the unit seems to have a very difficult time with very high shag carpet. Time will tell if I leave it on or not. Thankfully, you do have the alternative of full off or full on for the brush; it’s always nice to have choices. The battery time quoted seems to be relatively accurate - I think I’ve gotten about 2.5 hours off of most charges since starting to use it. Things that drive me up the wall Let’s talk about walls, shall we? The vacuum comes with a wall mount. Said wall mount can hold one accessory and one vacuum. This unit comes with five accessories on top of the main tube and the main motorized head. There’s no other storage, period. I’m not saying I expect it to be built directly into the unit, but I am saying is that at this price point I expect to get a unit that doesn’t require me to store its contents in a plastic bag until I procure a ‘real bag’ separately at cost. The charger is another matter of a wall - it’s gigantic for what it does. The battery pack is pretty neat and the way it connects to the base is very secure, but the charger itself is a foot wide and five inches high! I think I’ve honestly seen portable power tools that require more power and have had smaller units. For the size it is, I unplug it and put it away every time I’m done with it. It’s not exactly pretty as is. Things that are meh This section is full of things that I understand why they are that way and the reasons I understand are “good enough,” but still won’t stop me from wanting it to change. For starters, this unit never learned “stand” when it was at obedience school. It has no capacity to stand upright on its own (probably for balance reasons). What this means - and the instruction manual does call it out - is that every time you want to stop, you need to put the vacuum down on a ‘secure’ surface. It’s irksome that I have to bend down to place and pick the unit every time I need to stop or start my cleaning. The power seems to have shrunk with the size of the unit. Again, something I understand, but where my old vacuum could grab loose hair from a foot away, this unit can do it from maybe two inches away. Might be something to do with the way the motorized head hugs the floor, I’m not quite sure. As mentioned above, I’ve found that the unit has a bit more difficulties powering through high shag carpet - another point that I think illustrates a lower amount of power. Or perhaps that my older vacuum that uses a ton of power, I digress. The primary motorized head on the unit is not full sized - I wouldn’t expect it to be given the requirements of actually putting something like this together. I measured the entire head to be about 10” - about 3” shorter than my main vacuum. What does that mean? Yeah, it fits into smaller places, but now I need to do more passes and take more time to take care of the same places the larger vacuum could do far quicker with less effort. One of my final soapboxes - and you can find a similar line on the review I made for one of my toothbrushes. Why does everything need an app? The app for this one seems a bit half baked. Currently, you can turn the brush head on or off (cool.) or order accessories. As of writing this review, all of the accessory links take you directly to hoover.com - 0 specialization to the model at hand. To date, I’ve only found one full-feature fledged app for a standard consumer device that I’ve used and liked. And that was only because it was the only way to interact with the device entirely. Right. Would I buy it again? It’s pretty nice as is. Not without flaws, but a tad bit expensive for what you get when quoted at MSRP. I think that this technology is still a bit in its infancy - I’m excited to see what happens as it improves. Soooo… Yes? I think I would buy it again.

heavy and cheap feeling
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was not a fan of this vacuum. It was difficult to get out of the box and there were LOTS of parts. Fairly straight forward how they fit together, but wow, lots of parts. Instructions were okay, but the handheld part is quite heavy and the parts feel oddly cheap. I was expecting better. Two positives are that the attachments all have a holder or place to go. which is nice. And there is a wall hook to keep it standing. Note the bottom of the vacuum must be on the ground when on the hook, it cannot support the weight of the vacuum. It is difficult to take apart and swap attachments and when you carry it the vacuum portion wont stay folded, so it is a little awkward when you go to put it down, you have to put it down by the very front and then let the back down. Overall just an odd design. The suction was comparable to the Shark and Dyson stick vacuums but I would prefer those over this. One other positive is you can double tab the trigger and the power will stay on. That is a plus over the Dyson, but not enough to make me want to buy another one of these.

Needs some space, and can change on the fly
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So overall this vacuum is a good value for the price point. It fits right into this price range, given the size power and functions. There are some quirks though, that if are coming from another brand or model, might catch you a bit. Pros: - It has MULTIPLE different included attachments. 5 different attachments, cover just about all combinations of needs for cleaning. - Battery lasts longer then most others. You are going to get a fair amount done on a single charge - Easy to get to container. The container I easily visible to see when full, and doesn't take much to change it out - LED on floor roller is bright and allows you to see the floor especially in dark edge areas. - Powerful vacuum to clean up just about any dry spill on any floor - Does change from hardwood to carpet, with no interaction on users part Cons: - Even though listed as a pro as well... the attachments need a home. There is no storage on the vacuum itself, and the provide rack is just too small - The wall mounting solution, is sad (reason for 1/2 star deduction). It is nothing more then a plastic hook. You still need to rest the vacuum on the floor, and basically clip it in. There is no doubt that in time, that hook is going to snap. - The battery charging system: (other 1/2 star deduction)... It is a totally separate unit. You have to pull the battery from the vacuum, then connect it to a charging BASE, that simply comes across being way to big. it doesn't mount to the wall, you will need some decent counter (or floor) space for it - The primary cleaning head, feels a bit "cheaper" then the rest of the unit. The plastic, seems a bit bulky and less molded then the rest of the unit. Overall, the positives outweight the negatives, and with a significant savings over the next level of cordless vacuum's most users will be happy with the purchase

Great Secondary Vac
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum works really well. It does fill up with dirt quickly. It is shocking how much dirt and dust it picks up. Be prepared to empty the bin a few times. It takes a few minutes cleaning out the dirt from the bin if you want this unit to work at maximum power. I use a cheap paint brush to get out all the dirt and dust. If you own a corded vacuum and are using this as a secondary vacuum between big cleaning jobs then go for the Hoover. If you plan on owning only one vacuum for the entire house, apartment or condo then go for the Dyson V8 absolute. I would purchase the Hoover over the Dyson V8 animal because the animal does not have an attachment for hardwood floors. The V8 absolute has a really good attachment for hardwood floors and an attachment for the car. I use this Hoover every few days in the kitchen and family room. Anyone that has an attached garage that connects to the kitchen know why I use the Hoover every few days.

Decent suction, but far from perfect
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The convenience of cordless vacuums makes me want to clean my home more often. They're simple to take out and quick to set up. The Hoover React Stick Vacuum has unfortunately been one of my least favorite vacuums that I've used. Out of the box, it comes with many accessories to clean every inch of your home, which is very nice. After that, things kind of fall apart. Let me begin with the Pros about this vacuum. Like I previously said, there are many accessories included and it is a great assortment. The battery is compact and easy to charge in its base. Suction power and the FloorSense technology is great. I like that I am able to switch between carpet and hardwood without changing any settings. The design of the vacuum is also quite modern and will fit in any home. Now the Cons. The build quality of the main brush roll unit seems cheap compared to the rest of the unit. Also, when rolling the vacuum around my home, it felt like I was using a toy. The wheels would squeak and are loud on wood floors. Something that I wish this vacuum had was a way to have it stand up while not using. I have to lay it on the floor when I need to move furniture or empty the dustbin. Speaking of the dustbin, you have to take apart a center piece in the bin where the filter is to empty all the dust and trash out of it. Not very simple. I really thought I was getting a quality product from Hoover, but unfortunately this vacuum has been far from it. It really does not feel like it was designed completely through. If someone was in the market for a cordless vacuum, I would unfortunately tell them to not get this Hoover.

Competition has been put on notice
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 2nd stick vacuum and by far the best. So much better than my Dyson. Battery power and longevity is another strong suit of this vacuum cleaner. Fielding the ONE PWR Lithium battery, this cleaner can provide three times the runtime of its competitors while in Boost mode. You don’t have to worry about going for a recharge midway through your cleaning routine as the battery is sufficient for a decent cleaning duration. Hoover takes this vacuum cleaner a little ahead with its connectivity feature which allows you to connect to its Home App and customize your cleaning experience while maintaining your vacuum cleaner optimally Only down side is that its a bit on the heavy side at nearly 18lbs
