I went from 0 to 3 pups this year and potty training hasn’t gone as well as I would like. My once pristine carpet has been through the ringer. I had my carpet professionally cleaned last month, but he accidents haven’t stopped. Not only did the cleaner clean up new spots it actually improved the stains that the professional service didn’t remove. My room smells clean and the carpet looks great. I also found the machine very easy to assemble and then to clean afterwards. All in all I’m very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.

The cleaner works great...too great! Sucks up a lot of shag type carpet and gets stuck in the whole process of water flowing through the system. As it runs, it also spews water out of the attachment at the bottom of the machine. Not too concerned about it because the carpet is gonna get wet and dried anyway. Just a little annoying. The system overall is easy enough to use. Keep it clean and maintained and it will do the job.

I am very happy with this Hoover Smart Wash+ I plan on selling my house and was shopping for new carpet because I never replaced what was here when I bought the house. It was really grimy but I never got the opportunity to replace it. Anyway, I decided to purchase the SmartWash+ and am so happy that I did. It cleaned my carpets unbelievably well! It was very easy to fill and dried quickly! Saved me between$1000-$1500 that would have gone towards new carpeting. Very reasonably priced. I love this machine!

First off, I recommend this unit for cleaning up everyday messes on carpets -- it was very easy assemble and use, gets out a LOT of dirt, and left my rugs only a little damp. If you like to keep your rugs fresh, it's well worth the $200 price. It's also easy to disassemble and clean, which I recommend after every use. I also highly advise vacuuming the rug before you clean or it will leave little wet lint balls everywhere. Now for my history -- after getting a $700 quote to clean my three area rugs, I decided to try this first. One of my dogs got sick and pretty well covered my oriental rugs with various fluids, so I needed something that could clean deep into the densely packed fibers. Reviews on this machine were good and I liked that it had the upholstery tool. While it's actually not great for a quick, easy clean of oriental rugs (I had to run it three times over the rugs, twice on the top and once on the back, to get them clean), I don't fault it for that -- from the color of the used water, it looks like there was a lot of dirt deep down in those fibers. Bottom line is go for it. After all, who knows cleaning better than Hoover?

I purchased this model to replace the Hoover carpet cleaner that I have been using for over 12 years. The old motor finally died. I am very pleased with this current model. The new carpet cleaner is much easier to use, cleans carpet better, and extracts much better. After cleaning the carpet with the cleaning solution I remove the solution container and go over the carpet with just warm water as a rinse. This rinse pass also picks up a suprising amound of dirt and much of the cleaning solution smell.

Hoover SmartWash has given extended life to my carpets! Built solid, easy to use. One suggestion for use: it is necessary to go over the carpet several times with just water, extracting it slowly and thouroughly each time, to suck all the shampoo residue out. The simple one-step in the directions is not enough. Invest time in the procedure and your carpets will look great, and stay clean longer.

I’ve had many different carpet cleaners but Hoover is the best! My older Hoover my daughter borrowed and lost my hose attachment. I can’t live without that for stairs and my car cleaning. This one is so easy to use and clean. It won’t disappoint you. Does a great job cleaning and dries the carpet as your doing it. Great value you won’t be sorry.

This is my first ever rug shampoo device, so I don't have a lot to compare it to. However, i was able to get a white rug white again with 2 huge dogs running dirt on it. So very simple to use and to maintain. I didnt even need to read the instruction manualbut followed the slight guide attached to the unit itself and the printed icons on the components. Love it!

I love my carpet cleaner! It cleans my carpets well. Easy to use. Light to push. I use it every 2 weeks.

I really loved using this on my carpet in my apartment. I have an older dog and a new puppy at a time so accidents happen at times. This cleaned up the mess great and did great at mixing the water and solution itself. The stain and smell would be gone. The only issues i've had it the belt coming off and a plastic piece that holds the lid that goes over the brushes break. Overall i would recommend.

out of the box easy to put together, just fill, plug and play. cleans up easy. brushes come out easy for cleaning. Pop right back in. Love that the soap reservoir is separate from the water. Easy disassmble and reassemble. push to wash, pull to dry or full time dry (pick up dirty/water). Recommended! (my last purchase was the same cost class bissell - this hoover is mucho better! - plus no bissells in stock.

We got two young puppies and quickly discovered that we were going to be cleaning carpets early and often. We got this unit at a great price - other stores had it for almost $100 more - which is why we jumped on the sale. We have not been disappointed - we have also discovered that our carpets are filthy! Very happy with the purchase so far (typing this rating after using for a month).

I have 3 doxies and sometimes they make messes in the house. I will say that this carpet cleaner is one of the best purchases I have made. It is easy to assemble and quick to use. I am able to carpet clean within 5 or 10 minutes and the job is done. Getting a professional service to do my area rug twice will pay for this machine which I get to keep and it only has my household germs. No one elses!! I would recommend this product!

I have 5 dogs, 2 cats, ans 2 bunnies. Needless to say I'm constantly cleaning the carpet. This is by far the best steam cleaner I have ever owned. It's a no brainer, so easy to use... It sprays on outward stroke and sucks on the way back. All you do is vacuum. There are 2 rotating scrub bars that get rid of Stubborn stains within 3 passovers. Worth every penny. Oh...this is my 2nd purchase of this same model.
