We decided to go for this instead of buying a carpet cleaning service. This thing took out a lot of gunk in our carpet. Got this on sale, so no complaints about the price. I've always trusted Hoover and this cleaner delivers. There are other better ones out there I'm sure, but you'd have to pay double.

This machine works well. We have a new puppy and an older dog with some bladder issues, so we really put it to work and it cleaned the carpet really well. After a shampoo, a rinse and a couple good drying passes there is no residual smell and it was basically completely dry after a few passes.

Works great. Clean us the carpet well and has an attachment in which you can use to clean your pet as well. Might have to hold your pet down or ask a kid to do it but, yea, just wet the dog down and then lightly run the vacuum cleaner over them. Not sure it would work great for cats unless the cat is declawed....

I have two big dogs that shed all the time. Anything the vacuum Misses this rug cleaner fix it right up no problem. That’s a really good job washing the rug. When you pull it backwards it’s supposed to dry it. The only complaint would be when you’re working in a small area you’re going back-and-forth constantly so it’s wash dry wash dry. Not as effective as my previous model.

Wow!!! This carpet cleaner really SUCKS! Just a few days after I bought it, I spilled a Large RED Slushy in my wife's Honda Van (she would have been very mad), I garbed my Hoover, cleaned it up, and she will never know; unless she reads this post ;) It cleaned it perfectly!

Did an excellent job both on the Berber carpet and the area rugs. Amazing the amount of dirt it picked up. My son purchased this first and recommended it to me. He also used it to clean the inside of his pickup truck.

Its Excellent product by Hoover for washing carpet and rugs.I am very highly satisfied with hoover product and I have almost all hoover cleaning products and works excellent , if have any problem , Solved by hoover customer care in very short time with excellent communication.

I haven’t had it long (I really think they should give you 3-6 months before bugging you for a review), but cautiously I love it!! My rugs dried in about 5 hours or so. It got so much out! It was satisfying and disgusting at the same time.

We purchased our Hoover Smart Wash Carpet Cleaner Machine, because we have had "poor cleaning experiences with previous professional cleaners". We are very pleased with the quality and performance of our Hoover Cleaner. It cleaned, and dried the carpets in our entire house . The carpets dried quickly, and they look great.

FINALLY a product that has all the tools to help you at your lowest CARPET cleaning moments. No more wasting time or chemicals during cleaning. Simply add chemical second compartment for water and another compartment for dirty water. A must have product hands down.

Good cleaning. Needs more soap than my previous machine of different brand used prior to this machine but does a good job cleaning the carpet. Doesn’t seem to extract as much water used back out of the carpet but they don’t feel overly wet after cleaning either and dry fast.

Best cleaner I’ve owned in 20 years. I love that I can you use the dry function after. Works great and the attachment worked great cleaning my couch. Great product and the price dropped! Best Buy made a great in-store recommendation ;)
