We are so pleased with this cleaning steamer we used it on a carpet that is 29 years old and was ready to replace it but after cleaning it it looks good

The is is a great carpet extractor that deep cleans. My friend recommended this Hoover Steamvac. It removes let stains, cleans all kinds of floors. I also use it on my overstuffed chairs and car interiors.

We had an earlier model Hoover SpinScrub carpet cleaner for several years that had cleaned the carpeting very well. So when it was time to replace the carpet cleaner we purchased he new Hoover model.

I am happy with my product. The sales girl was very helpful and matched amazons which did go down a few days after my purchase to $159.00 but I did not get to go back as I had some major surgery and is to late now. Yet I am pleased.

This thing does it all. It really is the best. I recommend it, consumer reports recommends it. Get it!

Consumer reports rates it number one and I see why. Cleans great! We could literally feel the difference in our carpets. They dried so fast! I would buy this again over and over.

This is my second machine. The first one lasted 12 years. My floors are clean!!!! Just the way I like them!

I bought this unit after reading all the good reviews. As a “pro,” putting the unit together was easy. For “cons,” my unit does not have either a good suction or strong spray. I can use the unit on all my house but there is very little water in the dirty tank and the carpet is barely wet. At the same time, the clean water tank almost full, while the soap tank almost empty (I have a big house) . So for now I put water in the soap tank (you must have the soap tank full or the unit will not operate correctly). I called the support, and they recommended to exchange it (but I decided not to). Also it has a squeaky noise from the wheels, which the support techy said could be fixed with some grease (but I have white carpet). It’s very loud so I wear a headset to protect my hearing. I think it’s my luck because other users did not report any of these problems.

I brought this carpet cleaner so I didn't have to keep renting a carpet cleaner and it works great and easy to use.

First time purchase of a floor cleaner. It cleans excellent on carpet, tile and laminate flooring.

This cleaner got the highest ratings on Consumer Reports and mostly good reviews, so after researching we took ours home. The one evident item from nearly ALL the posts is that the plastic tabs on the handle of the fill tank are very brittle and break off after little to minimal use or wear. Well, I must be the exception because mine didn't even make it to the first use as one of the tabs was already broken from the brand new packaging and the other snapped off even with VERY careful placement on the first fill. Oh well...I guess if it was to be expected I can't complain too bad. You can still use it with those tabs, just a little more annoying to keep the handle in place. On to the performance. I have used another Hoover model in the past that was half the price of this one and I will be honest in saying that this one does not clean all that much better, but whereas I had to wait 6-8 hours for the carpet to dry before with that model, this one has the better suction and dries the carpet MUCH faster. We could walk around the floor in socks within an hour and they were barely even damp. The attachements are nice and work fairly well. The tank doesn't hold vast amounts, but its also about how much water you inject/use in your cleaning and the area you are cleaning. Overall it got our 15 year old light-colored carpets pretty clean and got most of the stains out. Just wish Hoover would not use such cheap and brittle plastic, especially since this seems to be such a known issue for a long time.
