I should have gotten the Bissel. This cleaner does alright on cleaning but more from your own efforts than its. There is no heating element. You add the hot water. The water/detergent fill tank is hard to position so that it locks in place and generally leaks as you are trying. I was attracted to the fact that it had a separate tank area for clean water/solution and one for waste water, but its sad that that has become the only thing I like about it. It cleans alright if you don't mind the hassel, but considering how much this thing costs, its not worth it.

I love this cleaner! If you are in the market...go buy this right now. I have carpet and tile, and the Steamvac All Terrain cleans it all. My favorite part is that I don't have to throw away dirty pads every time I clean! My carpet looks good all the time now.

I bought my Hoover just before Thanksgiving so I am a lil late on my review.....I live in Ga where there is plenty of rusty colored clay than just dirt so when it rains and you have a dog and kids coming and going the carpet gets really ugly looking which does not take long. Bought Hoover and was LOVING the results it gave my carpet especially my stairs where the traffic was heavier. I had compliments from everyone who came in my home that have seen my carpet before and have seen the clean results now. I actually wanted to lay on the carpet for once knowing that it was clean :D anyway, awesome steam cleaner would recommend.....

I was shocked at how dirty my carpet was. We had two different"Professional Cleaners" come in and the stains came back! At the cost of their visits the cleaner has already paid for its self. and we only used it twice. And I feel it dose just as good as a job as the Pros Do. I buy the prep cleaners and go to town. My buddies at work told about this steam vac We shopped around hard to find the best price we got it at Best buy......

After careful research I found that half of the reviews said the same thing about how this product breaks. But I decide to give Hoover the benefit of the doubt. They do make great vacuums but as far as carpet cleaners Hoover (pardon the pun) SUCKS! After just a single use my Hoover carpet cleaner began to leak water back onto the carpet both from the dirty water tank, clean tank, AND the detergent bottle. As I began to remove the dirty water tank the tank SPLIT!!! and water water everywhere. The latches locking the dirty tank in place also broke. The spin brushes don't spin nearly fast enough or make sufficient contact with the carpet to agitate the fibers thoroughly. All the same problems I had were just like the other reviewers described and with the same exact parts in the same place. Needless to say I was furious! I just paid $300 for this thing and it couldn't even last through a single use!! YOU SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AND ALL HOOVER CARPET CLEANERS AT ALL COSTS!! I immediately returned it to the store and exchanged it for a much much cheaper carpet cleaner made by Bissell. Much cheaper but Bissell knows more about carpet cleaners than Hoover. The one I got even has more suction power and better agitation than Hoover.

If you have carpet you need this product the dirt that is removed will blow your socks off. I love this product

The cheap plastic holding tank handle break off the first week. The brushes have stopped spinning after 6 months. The soap holding tank leaks terribly! Don't buy this junk!! I didn't think for the price and some of the awesome reviews this would happen to me!! Now I am stuck with a 300.00 dollar piece of junk!

Im very impressed. My wife is very impressed. I cleaned a rug and a carpet that we were about to just drag up to the road because of how filthy they had become. $250 investment saved us thousands. It removed spots and "stains" i would have never believed could be removed. This was a fantastic buy.

I had a Hoover Carpet cleaner for years. Was time to replace it and get one that would scrub. I wasn't excited about paying $300.00 but had been happy with my last Hoover. Within a month or so I realized this was the biggest piece of junk I had ever purchased. The plastic pieces kept breaking and falling off. The handle on the bottom tank broke, the lever for the height adjustment broke. the plugs from the upper tank broke. This is only within the first month or so. After dealing with this for about a year I broke down and purchassed the cheaper unit for under $200.00. The cheaper one is much like the unit I used for years. I am much happier with the new purchase.

This machine is by far the best machine on the market for cleaning ceramic tiled floors. The scrub brushes clean grout, as well as tile quickly and easily. No mess mixing solutions and the dirty water tank is large enough to accomodate cleaning a large room without having to be emptied.

I am very disapointed with this steam vac, in 2 years i used it barely 10 times on a small carpet terrain and it broke 3 times and I already spend 140$ on it. first the soap canister started leaking, to replace it 50$, then the brushes froze to replace 90$ then not even a month after it froze again.I mean it is ridiculous. I don't have pets and I only need to clean before my baby crawl so I barely use it .Don't waste your money on this machine. not worth a penny.

So far this machine has worked great on everything. Disgusting what you see in the dirty water. Only thing I'm weary about is the cheap looking clear plastic parts. Afraid if I lend this out to someone it'll come back broken.

I could have made a mistake in assembling it which is probably why it didn't suction water well but that brings us back to the point that it is not easy to assemble in my personal opinion.

The machine works very well. I have a dog and a cat and some problem areas are now not only clean but the smell is gone. I'm happy.

Had my first one for four years. on my second one now ,havent seen or heard about a better cleaner for my tile floor use

This is the worst Carpet cleaner i have ever owned. very cheap. 1st use the dirty water tank Handel broke the brushes do not hardly touch the carpet or floor. a bottle of resolve works better. i am scared to touch it because something may break on it! BIG WASTE OF MONEY.

It states all over the box that it's great for hard wood and rugs - 'all terrain'. What is not on the box is that you have to buy the attachments seperately for hard wood floors. I will never buy a Hoover product again. Wrote to the company and some middle man public relations company sends me a cut and paste reply. Nothing from the company.

I've bought 3 of those, just because I had parts from the prior machines. This and the last machine broke after just several months, the brushes stopped rotating. the first machine stopped picking up solution. I trusted Hoover for a quality machine but three broken machines in just over 2 years? Save yourself the problems, buy something else.

And the customer service rep at Hoover horribly rude!
