I wore out my Hoover Steam Vac Deluxe and loved it so much I swore I would buy another Hoover. I selected the Hoover Dual V Widepath based on product reviews and features. I just used it for the first time and it blew the old Steam Vac Deluxe away!! It is very well designed and easy to use. It gets the carpet extremely clean. I would never buy anything other than a Hoover and I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this steam cleaner after reading reviews on many department store, specialty stores, and retail web sites (Amazon.com). I have a Pre-Thanksgiving Day Party this weekend and I have a 2 year old. Can you say juice stains all over our white burber carpet. Well I decided to roll the dice and purchase this product from my local Best Buy store. I am very satisfied with my purchase. After cleaning my Family Room carpet I was amazed at how all my juice stains and high traffic area dirt had been removed. This steam cleaner has an incredible suction and the scrub brushes are great. For burber carpet, just go with the grain of your carpet and you will have no problem. Works really smooth when you are going with the grain of your burber carpet. The machine is quiet enough for me to clean my carpet down stairs while my 2 year old is sleeping upstairs. For the price I paid this is a super bargain. The performance is great and not really messy because it has two tanks, one for clean water/solution and another for dirty water. The machine was easy to assemble and works really great!

I was very happy with the results of using my new Hoover SteamVac! It worked very well and the results were every bit as good as the last time that I had a professionals (SEARS) do it. The plus side was that in one cleaning I was able to break even with the price of professionals, espcially since I jumped on the BestBuy presidents day sale and got the SteamVac for $160. The downside is that it is a slow process to clean thoroughly. I spread my house over 2 weekends taking 4-6 hours on Saturday and Sunday of bothe weekeds to clean about 2000 sq. feet and a Staircase. But, I was doing a VERY thorough cleaning that was far more detailed than what the professionals would do. But, the results were great -- and in the areas where my carpet fibers were not damaged from traffice it was amazing how fluffy they got after cleaning. I really believe now though I can clean in half the time if I don't use as much detergent (ie. a Vinegar / hot Water mix) and perform the cleaning more often going forward. In the end, if you want to keep your carpet better condition while saving some money by putting in the time to do it yourself then this is a great investment. P.S. Read the reviews for SteamVac's (any model) on Amazon.com -- they were verrry insightful!

My dog briefly lost his mind when another dog was brought into the house and decided to mark his territory in the basement...A Lot. Needless to say, the basement smelled bad. Ran out and bought the Hoover because, although the spotbot is effective, it's better for small areas and leaves crop circles in the carpet. {Enter Hover SteamVAC} What a workhorse! I've been using a mixture of vinegar and an animal cleaning formula and have literally been able to do my whole basement without having to add more solution. With the spotbot, I had to add solution every 4 areas, and that was only if I didn't use the "deep clean" option. I am so impressed with this bad boy that I may never use the spot bot again. My only issue is that it's a bit too heavy for my wife to bring up and down the stairs, but it's a small price to pay for the results. GOOD BUY!

easy to use you have to read the manual for step by step, no problem so far its not that great but it clean thats what i want , the cleaning part is great. no leak or what so ever we have to really on manual for smooth operation.

This carpet cleaner rocks. It is so easy to setup and use. It has a rinse feature that is great. I recommend Hoover Carpet cleaners. This is the third one I have owned and the products keep getting better.

I read review after review before finally settling on this particular machine. I couldn't be more pleased. My husband and I have a toddler and a dog and we live in a small condo, so everything from outside ends up throughout the downstairs, embedded in the carpet. About 6 months ago we rented the Rug Doctor, but it left something to be desired. This Hoover made our disgusting old stained up carpets look and feel new. I can hardly believe how soft the carpet feels now! This machine was a great deal and worth every penny. After seeing the water turn black and pouring out sand, dirt, and who knows what else, I feel much better now about letting my son roll around on the living room floor!

Putting it together was a breeze, I did not put the attachment caddy on, as I don't use it anyway, at this time. I really like the large water tanks, I don't have to stop so many times to empty and refill them. I couldn't believe how clean my off white carpet came, especially in front of the chairs that are used most often, and other high traffic areas. This machine replaces my Bissell Pro Heat 12 which quit working and had to be replaced. I thought it was doing a good job, until I replaced it with this one. There is no comparison, The Bissell was good, but this one cleans so much better and the carpet doesn't get near as wet, so drys a LOT faster . I feel it was an excellent buy.

Works great. Easy to use. It's nice to be able to use it on my furniture and even the inside of my truck. Even managed to get out an old set in stain we had tried everything else on.

I have two siamese cats that vomit frequently. I was spending a couple hundred dollars a year with a steam cleaning company. I read many reviews online about steam vacs and decided on this one. I'm not easily impressed by cleaning appliances since the hype is always better than the actual performance. In this case, it's all true. It takes about 2 minutes per cat stain, and there's no stain left when I'm finished. It is easy, fast, and thorough. It is intuitive how to fill the containers, where to put them back on the vac, and how to pull the waste container and empty it when finished. I can't say enough about this product.

Prior to this, used a Bissell SC 1632 carpet cleaner. Bissell only sprayed and suctioned. The brushing really gets out the dirt. I only have low and medium pile carpets but the brushes showed wear and were bent after 4 hours of use. The bristles are soft and flexible (maybe too soft?). Could use a stiffer brush for tougher cleaning chores and to spread out the carpet fibers more. Suction is excellent and removes almost all of the liquid sprayed to the carpet. Carpet dries in no time when "helped" with a fan. Used Hoover solution that came with the unit. The unit has separate tanks for the cleaning solution and the hot water and automixes on the fly. The manual does not tell you the proportion of Hoover solution to water. Not a problem unless you choose to use Bissell or Resolve cleaning solutions. I personally prefer Resolve and diluted the cleaning solution as I thought I was using too much of it. Purely guesswork. Small attachment brush has rotating brushes powered by suction but the spin could not be maintained when actually used. Also the outlet spray for the solution on the small brush is too far from the rotating brush and suction. Plastic used is about the same quality as the current Bissell carpet cleaners but my old Bissell SC 1632 felt better built and was more industrial strength.

I bought this after reading "Dealwithit's" review. This really is a great machine. Very easy to use and assemble. I bought the Hoover Pet Shampoo and was dissappointed in the high traffic areas. I then used the Hoover Ultra Shampoo that came with the machine, and that really did the trick. I would suggest using the Ultra Shampoo all the time, although I had to order the bottles on line, as I could not find it at a store. It was $11.31 for 48oz at Amazon.com, not bad. Don't buy the more expensive machines, as this one will do the trick.

Deep cleans and is quick and eazy. I use it more often because it is so easy to use. To take out and put away. Cleans up messes and animal hair in no time. Works great.

I have been using a Bissell for the past year (with not so great results). It would leave the carpet sopping wet for hours and usually overnight. The stupid thing breaking was my last straw, no more Bissells! I went out and purchased the Hoover all-terrain. WOW! What a difference! My carpets look amazing!! The house smells fresh and my carpet looks brand new! The Hoover is super simple to use, extracts more dirt and my carpet was dry in less than an hour. Definitely worth the money!

This cleaner does a fantastic job. Just as others have written on this site and many others, it does a terrific job of getting 95% of the water out that it puts into the carpet. The hose also has great suction power and does a good job. By the way people...the power brush on the hand tool isn't for heavy scrubbing. It is for fluffing up the fabric, light stains, etc. If you need to scrub hard use a hand brush. This machine works great if you use it as intended. I did a lot of research before buying a cleaner. On multiple sites. The Hoover got the overall best reviews. Some have complained that the upper tank latch breaks and other various problems after a while. Usually about the time the 1 yr warranty runs out. So buy the 4 yr warranty offered by Best Buy for $50. That's $250 total. Even if it only did your house once per year that works out to $62.50 a year. Try and get someone to do your entire house....to your liking.....for that price...!! I would have given it all 5 stars except for the tool/hose caddy. It doesn't exactly attach to the machine. It just slides into a couple of tabs. It falls off easily when bumped and is just in the way. I just leave it in the closet and pull out the hose when I need it.

This is the Hoover recommended the most on other sites. It cleaned the carpet really well and has strong suction so the carpet dried quickly. The spinning brushes will clean hard floors too. All parts can be removed and cleaned easily which is so much better than my old Hoover. Best Buy had the best price and their warranty is the best because the vacuum can be returned to any store and not shipped back to the manufacturer. I got the extended warranty too.

I have always used the Bissel Steam Cleaners and have liked them. But I really like this Hoover Steam VAC a lot. It leaves the carpet much dryer than the Bissel and for the most part I get a much cleaner carpet. So this is a 5 star experience.

This is a great machine. I owned the model just below this one for years and was very happy with it. After a while it started to break (plastic cracks) and I gave it to a charity which still uses it. I stepped up to this one. Reviewed this and the Bissel and decided to stick with the Hoover from past experiences and liked the brushes better than the rollers. Also, did not like the Bissel with the bladder for the return water in with the clean water. IMPORTANT - it is plastic. Do not try to force any of the containers or other parts. Just use a little care and nothing will break. The containers all sit in their positions just right and, if you take an extra second or two, they just slide in and snap in place. Forcing plastic will break it, just a fact of life. I read somewhere else that you do not just clean the floors and put the product away. You must clean out the hair and carpet fibers from the brushes to avoid them drying in place. It is also a good idea to occassionally clean them the hair from the brushes occassionally while you are doing a larger floor if you have animals (of which I have several). This keeps the brushes from failing to turn. Great product. Just take care of it. It is not made of metal but plastic. Be gentle but firm and it will work for a long time, just like my other Hoover.
