I read several reviews that were somewhat negative prior to my purchase. We were enticed by the low price of this vacuum when our old one decided it just wasn't going to work anymore. I believe we got this one on sale for $79.99. With some vacuums running upward of $400 or more, we found this to be a great price. Hoover is no new name on the vacuum market. They've been around for years for a reason. The design is sleek, the pet hair attachments seem to work well and the canister is super easy to take off for emptying. The only real negative about this vacuum is that the hose for the extensions could be about a foot (or two!) longer. All in all, a great product, especially if you're able to secure it at the same low price we did.

I just adopted a great pyrenees and they shed A LOT. All my old vacuum did was push the hair around on the floor so I decided it was time for a new vacuum. After looking at various vacuums I almost ended up just buying a cheap one at Wal-Mart because I didn't expect one within my price range(less than $100) would work much better than one around $50-$60. Boy was I wrong!! I decided to invest in this one with high hopes because of the great reviews that I read and it has greatly exceeded my expectations. You can actually feel the suction power as you're pushing it and it gets the long dog hair out of the carpet and off of the sofa with ease! The suction is so powerful though it is a little bit of a forearm work out maneuvering it but I don't mind! If it can maintain this level of suction throughout it's life span I will buy this particular vacuum again and again until they no longer make them. If you're even the least bit hesitant, I say go for it and try it! You will not regret it. I got this a few months ago, wanted to give it a go a few times before writing about it. Compared to my last vacuum it works great. It seems to pick up everything is easy to move around. It isn't very heavy itself. The only two downfalls but to me aren't a huge deal. When you use the hose for attachments, I have to put a paper towel into the hole where the hose was or some of the dust goes flying back up. And it is a bit loud when using the pet power brush but it does the job so not a big complaint from me. Overall it's a great vacuum for the price and gets the job done.

I am a repeat Hoover Windtunnel buyer. I love the technology! My old Hoover did a great job but was heavy. This one is super light (I love that). I have two dogs and two horse and two kids and we live in the desert, so I have ALOT of animal fur, dust, and dirt to pick up and the pet tools work great. I really like the bagless feature. I don't have to wait to dump the bag, and I love being able to see everything it picked up. The HEPA filter is also a plus. You can clean it yourself. I also like the new hose. My old one was made of a plastic material and eventually got permanent kinks in it. This one doesn't kink and stretches farther (about 12ft.) Great quality for the price (less than $100).

I was so tired of our upright vacuum that my husband kept trying to fix. It didn't pick up dust, debris - it would throw it! One day after my husband had cleaned it and checked everything I went to vacuum a scatter rug. That's when I threw up my hands and refused to spend ten minutes on what should have been a one minute chore. I had seen great reviews on this upright and thought that I would give it a try. I am so impressed with this Hoover. It does the job in no time, and I didn't have to spend a terrific amount of money. This is making vacuuming fun if you can believe it!!

This vacuum is awesome, It has incredible pick up power and comes with all the attachments you could ever need, it is completely wife approved, we actually tested by vacuuming with our previous one and then re-vacuuming with the new one and there was so much debris that was removed with this new model that our past vacuum was missing, even sand from the beach this past summer that we didn't even know was embedded in the carpeted floor! there is only one small drawback to this model, the accessory hose has high tension on it so it constantly wants to retract rather than be fully extended and vacuuming up high or at a distance from the machine is tedious, you constantly need to move the vacuum closer to what you're vacuuming and if you're trying to use the accessory hose on the walls or ceiling/ceiling fan it's difficult at times because it doesn't want to stretch out fully and allow you to do so

Great vacuum, does what it is suppose to do. Great suction and empties very easily. Lightweight and easy to push.

I purchased this vacuum cleaner for my apartment and I love it. It's lightweight, easy to push and the suction is strong and provides exceptional cleaning.

I needed to replace the vacuum that I had at the time. This has been a great purchase. It picks up pet hair nearly as well as a Dyson. I've managed to clog it once, but it comes apart super easy. It does have an overheat function which turns it off until it's cooled down to save the motor if you clog it. My biggest issue with it (and the reason it didn't get 5 stars from me) is that the canister is kind of a doughnut shape and it doesn't empty as easily as an open container.

I was frustrated with my old vacuum. As soon as I had this one set up it gave me amazing performance. Powerful, not too heavy and hassle free.

I have a cat who sheds A LOT. I was worried about getting a cheaper vacuum for fear of it not doing the job right. Let me tell you, this vacuum does more than right by my carpet! It sucked up all the hair. In fact, it looked like I had another cat inside the vacuum once I was done. Easy to clean out and start over again. Very happy with my purchase. I live in a small apartment and have one cat.

This is a great vacuum for the price. I was able to put it together myself with just a basic screwdriver. It has great suction and picks up the cat hair really well.

I purchased this Hoover as a replacement for a problematic Bissell that required constant adjustment related to the pulley for the brush. As the reviews on Best Buy were positive, I decided to give Hoover a chance. The larger capacity of the bin allows the dirtiest of rooms to be tacked with less time spent emptying what this beast is able to pick up. The five levels of adjustment for floor/carpet height are simple and intuitive to use. The lighter weight of this vacuum compared to competing units is a benefit if you'll need to clean multiple floors. The only minor quibble I have with this model relates to the power cord. While length is ample, the placement in relation to the back of the vacuum is sub-optimal. You'll constantly need to be aware of where it's lying in relation to the path that you're cleaning. Otherwise, you'll risk tangling the cord and/or running over it. This is certainly a stronger bargain/value compared to vacuums costing at least twice as much. Highly recommended!

Absolutely love this vacuum. I have pets and it has been picking up the hair and dander that the eye does not see. My home feels cleaner than ever now. The attachments are very helpful too. Easy to dump the tank. I am very pleased with the performance and price.

I had purchased this vacuum for my daughter at Christmas and she liked it so much that when I needed a new one I purchased one for myself. It does the job really well, the attachments are well located, and emptying the canister after use is easy. For the price that I paid I am very happy with the construction of the vacuum and its performance.

I am still adjusting to this vacuum. It is lighter than my old vacuum and easier to maneuver It has great suction. I have one major complaint. The vacuum hose is VERY short. I have to haul the whole thing with me just to reach behind, over and under furniture. My old vacuum only had to be moved 3 or 4 times to reach everything in a room.
