I give this vac 5 stars all the way around. Very powerful and not that noisy. Easy to maneuver and a snap to put together. The cord rewind was a little difficult at first, but once you figure it out it works good too. No complaints.

We have been using a cordless, battery powered vacuum for 4-5 years prior to getting this. When we vacuumed the carpeted areas, we would always get a full canister of junk, so there was no reason to question its performance. We decided to go with corded this time, and the power and performance so far has made us question how well the previous vacuum was actually doing. The first time that I used this was a day after the carpet was vacuumed with the other vacuum, and it filled the canister with actual dirt, not just like dust and dust bunnies. Since then, I have been trying to vacuum on a daily basis to see how much that it keeps picking up from the carpet. It is pretty gross to see how much thick dirt keeps showing up in the bottom of the canister. Definitely pleased so far. Some cons; weight and obviously the cord, because I was coming from a cordless. However, I am fine with that based on the difference in performance.

For its value, it does an incredible job! It may not look like a fancy vacum it might be bulky but its great. My only complain is the on switch... its way too low. Wish it was on the top part.

Great value and product! Super easy to put together and very simple straightforward to use. Has great suction capabilities and does well on both my short carpets and longer shaggy ones. The attachments are great for the car.

I just love this vacuum cleaner. It's lightweight it works quickly and well. It works on my carpet and my hardwood floors in my hallway. The best thing about it is that it actually reaches the corners of my room. The other vacuum I had I had to use the crevice tool to get into the corners along the baseboard but this vacuum actually gets in there which is just so amazing! The tools work well too. It just quick easy the plug is long enough so that I could get very far do a whole room without having to unplug it and move it. And I love that the way the plug just shoots right back in there. I am so glad I waited for this to be on sale it meets my every requirement. It's easy to clean and no dust escapes from it. My son has allergies and we've had no problems with this vacuum. Then it even picks up the tiniest thing. Can you really love a vacuum? Yes this vacuum you really can.

Okay, first off I will confess and say that I have been totally spoiled by my Dyson and when it finally died (after 10 years) a little piece of me died too... When Dyson announced that all they were making was either the cordless models or those stupid ball things (sorry, I am not a big fan of the design), I started to (reluctantly) look for a different model. My wife found this one and we agreed (I was told to) purchase it. The vacuum works great and really has good suction and attachments. My only (minor) complaint is that the machine is a little louder than needed... again, I was spoiled by my Dyson.... but the end result is that so far I have been happy with the performance of the machine.

I have a new Dyson V-8 Animal which I love — I bought the Dyson to use on new hardwood flooring and area rugs in my home. But I have a few areas with older wall to wall carpeting and I bought the Hoover to use on those areas. Honestly the Hoover is a really powerful, no frills vacuum for a good price — I bought mine on sale. There is no light to illuminate the vacuum path, but I never vacuum after dark. Powerful suction and the automatic cord rewind is a plus. A bit heavy, especially compared with the Dyson but they are in totally different categories so I was fully prepared for that. I would definitely purchase the Hoover again and will keep using until I replace my older carpeting.

Great product for the price. Easy to setup and use. It does a fine job for carpets and hard floors. Easy-to-empty bag-less canister. One nit pick is the dust brush is too rigid for delicate items, but this is a minor issue. This is a great vacuum for budget-minded customers.

After reading reviews I order the product and picked it up in the store. I found the vacuum to be fairly light compared to others it size. It comes with multiple attachments stored on the side. I loved the retractable cord, it was a big selling point for me. The power button and the button for retracting the cord are near each other so you may confuse the two. The vacuum did a great job picking up items from the carpet, I haven't yet used it on the hardwood floor. Emptying the canister was an easy task. I have not yet used the extender to vacuum hard to reach areas, but I plan on utilizing it to vacuum the ceiling fans. I'm pleased with my purchase so far.

Good product for price. A little heavy, a little loud, but effective. The retractable cord is a nice feature.

I purchased my vacuum and received a great price for this product. I am very satisfied with its performance and it has detachable devices that allow me to vacuum my stairs with ease, vacuum drapes, ceiling fans, and hard to reach corners. Pet friendly as well.

I needed a serious vacuum for the large, new wool living room carpet I recently purchased--since it will shed for the first few months, no little stick vacuum with a tiny bag or cup would do. This monster picks up everything, and is also great on other carpets and wood floors. Has a long cord that retracts, settings for pile height, and attachments as well. The one negative is that it's heavy--if you have trouble lifting or maneuvering such an appliance, it's probably not for you.

Amazing price for what u get. Powerful. We have a loft bedroom with a high ceiling fan. The reach it too short I still need a ladder (4') and the angled head is moves and doesn't hold the angle very well. But it's the best I've found so far.

Pros: The vacuum performs well. The unit's weight is less than previous models, which makes it easier to maneuver and use. Suction is great. Cord retracts accurately and smoothly. Great extra attachments, which are more firmly mounted to the unit. Cons: Start-up switch is located on the middle-rear portion of the unit, which is awkward. The debris tank is not as easy to cleanly empty as previous models.

I used my new Hoover right after vacuuming my rugs (thick/ plush wall-to-wall, thin area rug, and medium-thick area rug) with my year-old Shark. The Shark was not height-adjustable for different carpet heights, and was extremely hard to push on my thick wall-to-wall and medium-thick area rug. The Hoover has multiple height adjustments, was much easier to push, AND picked up so much dirt the Shark had left behind. Also, I like the convenience of the cord rewind pedal. Hovers I've had in the past were very reliable; here's hoping this one keeps up the strong performance.

I am very happy with the Hoover Windtunnel vacuum. It has great suction and I love the self winding cord. I read reviews that stated there was a problem with the roller not disingaging, but found that it is not a problem when using the tools. If in the upright position, which is normal when using the tools, the roller automatically rises off the floor. If the handle is lowered, the roller moves down to make contact with the floor. This can be raise though by depressing a switch with your foot. Easy to use, easy to assemble, and I would recommend it. It was a little bit heavier than I thought it was going to be, I need two hands to lift it up on a step.

Powerful vacuum cleaner no doubt. I really like this machine. The suction power is quite good. It's a little on the heavy side if you're old and weak.

It's a bit heavy but does and excellent job worth of sucking. The attachment are great but I think the easy cord rewind is the best feature.
