This vacuum does a fantastic job of picking up dog hair, even when using the hose & attachments. I love the upholstery attachment, it picks up all the dog hair off my couch. The only con is that the vacuum itself is a little heavy. I have a lot of area to cover when vacuuming and it is a workout. It is worth it to get the carpets clean though.

I didn't give it a 5 because I haven't had it long enough for a full review. I will say it was frustrating, as I went to the store 2 times (1st time to buy the vacuum, the second to return and exchange). There was incorrect packaging in both of the boxes. The store only had those 2 in stock. The clerk informed me that they could order it and confirmed that I would be able to bring it back to the store if the one I received via mail was also incorrectly packaged. Fortunately, it was not. I love the knob on the side to convert to floor or hose and the extra long cord. The brush extension that is suggested to use on the ceiling fan does not stay on the vacuum stand. It often fall off while vacuuming. The suction is very strong and works well. Note: it would be nice to a listing of all of the parts listed on the outside of the box. When you open the box and read the owner's manual there are additional pieces varies, per model. But, there is only one model listed on the box and it does not differentiate which extensions are included and which are not.

The vacuum perfoms quite well, It is heavy though. Prepare to get a decent workout when you vacuum, which may not be a bad thing!

Works better than expected. I didn't want to spend $500 on another Dyson that will just disappoint me again. Great suction, long cord, easy to empty and has not lost suction after a months use.

We used this vacuum twice and took it back. I gave it a 4 * because the suction was great. After the first time using it we couldn't believe how much it picked up. We had vacuumed just a few days prior. We have two cats that fortunately don't shed that much, but still have some cat hair to get every time. We would have kept this, but returned it for this reason. It comes with a 40' chord, which we thought would be an advantage. For us it turned out to be a nuisance. It is a wrap chord, not a auto rewind. Also, the attachments kept falling off. Wasn't really a deal breaker, we just decided to keep those in the storage closet until needed. Overall a very good vacuum but didn't fit our needs. Returned it for another Hoover we researched. We didn't even consider a Dyson. We shelled out the money a few years ago and it was a piece of junk.

I researched a significant number of types (bag/bagless - direct/indirect flow) and brands (hoover, meile, dyson, etc) prior to making this purchase. I was very concerned about suction and clean-up capability, reliability (drive belts not breaking, manufacturing style, fit, etc), warranties, others experiences/reviews, and price. Given all these criteria and my research, I was convinced i wanted a bagged unit, however they are not super available in stores. This unit - especially because of its separate suction source for each the hose and floor unit - was very high in others reviews and all my other criteria. I took a shoot as it was on sale in-store at best buy (no other store or internet source had it as low). I am blown away by this unit as it has performed beyond my expectations. The carpet and rug areas looked stunning following the first vacuuming. This unit really lifts the pile and generates a deep clean. Our old vacuum that was replaced, had just been used the day before - it was evidently missing a lot. The unit is designed very well - the dirt canister removes and re-installs easily - it also empties from the bottom with little mess. Very pleased with purchase and a unit that really cleans!!!

I did not want a vacuum that was bagless, this one changed my mind. Picks up more than my old Eureka Boss, which i loved. And emptying the container isnt as bad as i thought. Amazing on pet hair awesome suction, love the long cord and hose. Attachments are perfectly positioned on the vacuum. Love it so far.

WOW! Even though I researched this unit, it surpassed ALL my needs. I found out my kitchen floor linoleum had some not so flat spots in it, when the vacuum wouldn't move until I raised it higher than recommended (YES the suction is that GOOD). Forget tape or sticky brushes, the Pet Turbo Tool can clean up the long cat hair off a recliner, in under 2 minutes!! REALLY like plugging into one outlet, and then being able to clean 3 rooms before moving to a closer outlet (and NO it doesn't take to long to wrap the extra long cord on the unit when finished). I gave it 5 stars, but here are 2 MINOR problems. 1) when U first assemble the unit, the instructions do NOT have good pictures of how the attachments mount on the unit (but U will figure it out). 2) The spade attachment for floor or angled for ceiling fan cleaning, isn't the greatest for anything but the ceiling fan. Maybe because as I mentioned the suction is awesome, they made the bristles longer so it wouldn't break the fan blades. However the attachment really does NOT have the suction needed for hardwood / baseboards / areas where the Crevice tool would take to long to use.. NO problem, I'll purchase one of those SMALL floor brush attachments, with the smaller brush, from Hoover.

Had to replace my old Hoover WindTunnel

I ruined my old Hoover WindTunnel buy washing the main filter - thought it was plastic - how could it matter. It mattered. This WindTunnel 3 High Performance is much more powerful. The cord is longer and is not self winding (Yeah! That got stuck sometimes). I only have 2 carpeted bedrooms and one area rug in the living room (and 2 very small non-shedding dogs) so this is probably overkill but it works great. The only con so far is that the “on button” is very difficult to use. It’s embedded in silicone instead of being a switch like my last one. It’s in a much more user friendly position than my last one, but again, hard to use. FYI our carpet installer recommended this product he said a Dyson would chew up the carpeting.

The Hoover WindTunnel 3 vacuum is louder and heavier than my last vacuum (Shark) but it performs. If you have someone in a Zoom conference in the next room, you may need to wait to use this vacuum due to the noise. Despite the fact, the Hoover WindTunnel 3 vacuum is louder than my previous vacuum the cleaning performance is like night and day. It cleans well and has powerful suction. After using it for the first time my housemate said it looked like the carpet changed color because it cleaned so well. In short, this vacuum is a bit louder than average and unless you live in a library the noise is a trivial negative aspect of this vacuum. It does what it is supposed to do; clean carpets and does it well.

The power suction gets dog hair up with ease. The only downfall is that it is a little on the bulky/heavy side. other than that it it great! i love the attachments. The celing fan gets done all the time now. No problem!

Excellent vacuum with strong suction. Easy to clean unlike my last machine. Easy to move around. Cord is long and convenient as you don't need to unplug and replug as often. But note that cord is not retractable. Overall, a nice buy.

Very powerful. This vacuum will literally suction itself to hardwood floors if the height is set at the lowest setting. Some physical strength is required to use this vacuum at its fullest potential but it blows away other models ive had in comparison to performance.

I love my Hoover Windtunnel 3 vacuum cleaner. I have had others over the years but needed a new one and the Hoover had what I wanted. It does a great job, picks up everything on the first pass, is easy to use, I can adjust the floor level on it, it doesn't lose suction and has a nice long cord. It is also reasonably priced. Way to go Hoover!!!!

Ha, I bet I got ya there didn't I!? No, really, this thing really sucks. I've had their Platinum line and absolutely loved it and this one comes close. I am replacing my Hoover pet model because it absolutely stinks after only a couple of years. I vacuumed the entire house with my old model then followed it up with this one, and let me tell you, I was surprised by the amount of stuff it pulled up. Just stop reading reviews about other products and put your money into this one, You get a lot value here and you're not paying for the name plate (cough, cough, Dyson). Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the attachments have gotten better as well. OK really that is enough, now go get this thing already.

Positives: Has great suction Really long cord so you can spend more time vacuuming and less time hunting for an outlet. The hose is long and easy to use with the turn of a knob. Easy to empty dust collection canister 5 year warranty Negatives: Both the ceiling fan blade cleaning tool and the pet tool have a tendency to NOT stay in place on the vacuum cleaner body itself. Not rated: I haven't used the pet tool or the fan blade cleaning attachment, but they seem like they should work just fine for their purposes. The design of the vacuum is efficient in that the suction power is only focused where needed, with the use of the aforementioned knob. Whereas, most other units have suction going to both the base and hose all the time. Over all I'm pleased with the purchase and would recommend it to a friend.

Over all a great vacuum, easy to setup out of the box. The tools you get in this model are good but normally you have a place on the vacuum to store these attachments. The two piece wand that comes with this model has a place to store it on the back side of the vacuum but it doesn't stay there very well. If you have animals and carpeting and cloth couches you'll be very happy with this model. If you have just wood and tile floors with small rugs you may not be as happy. This vacuum is so strong it suctions to the smooth wood floor leaving marks if you're not carefull so you adjust the vacuum head a few clicks higher then it's to high to be effective. Over all it's a good vacuum that is easy to empty with a good HEPA filter and ceiling fan attachment. Just a little to strong for smooth wood/tile floors.

I purchased this vacuum to replace a Shark Rotator Pro. First thing you'll notice is it's a heavy vac. This vacuum excells at open area cleaning. When the carpet height is adjusted properly, the vac pushes easily & has excellent suction & cleans thoroughly. The bottom brush does not need to be cleaned off when your done! The design of this brush is great ( and we have, 2 dogs, 4 cats, 1 chinchilla, and 4 big birds!). Now, the down side. When using the tools, the design could be better. You must turn a knob to switch from floor to wand and tool design is fair. Bottom line, for just normal vacuuming it's a fantastic machine. You will prolly never have to clean the bottom brush (great design). But if you'll do alot of (attachment) vacuuming or don't want a big heavy vac, look elsewhere.
