Customers are saying

Customers commend the Split Pad Pro Attachment Set for its enhanced comfort and improved grip, particularly beneficial for users with larger hands. Many appreciate the larger size and button layout, contributing to a more enjoyable gaming experience. However, some users express disappointment over the lack of wireless functionality and motion controls. The absence of a built-in battery is also a recurring point of criticism.

If you do not mind that it does not having Motion Controls or HD Rumble it is a great Controller :-)

This is a much better substitute for the original joycons for the switch. When i 1st saw these in action i thought brother in law had got a new system but he said it was still the OLED Switch. So me being a good dad i bought this for one of my kids that actually takes care of the electronics they have. The game pads if you can call them that feel very durable and much better feeling in your hands. Rubber instead of all plastic and plastic breaks easily.

I bought this for my OLED switch and the econtroller feels great! Looks oversized for the switch but it feels like the xbox or PS5 controller. Love how you can disconnect from the wired version to the switch flawlessly. The controls are responsive & the bottom programmble buttons are next level! Only wished it came in colors to match your switch. Overall a great buy and definitely one of the best controllers for the switch.

I love these controllers. they are bigger and do you have more control as an adult. I also love all the features, including the turbo button and the customization. My only complaint is that I have no good way of transporting them because they don’t fit in my switch case. I just bought another pair of controllers that are seemed for breath of the wild tears of the Kingdom.

"We have two of them, and they work so well for our family. They are durable, and the controller is a lot easier for my children to hold while playing on the Nintendo Switch. It is also really nice for them to use when playing on the TV. We are very happy with this purchase!"

Much more comfortable than the official Nintendo Joycons, and when paired with the Switch attachments they're also arguably more comfortable than a pro controller. What's holding this back from 5 stars is the build quality isn't quite as good as the joycons or pro controller.

The controllers feel good in my hands, have some interesting extra features, and offer a massively improved D-pad. If you're looking for a full-sized gamepad controller, need extra joystick precision, and want better directional buttons, the Split Pad Pro is a great choice.Mar 3, 2023

Arrived quickly, in great condition. Haven't tried it yet, but assuming it works, the bigger sized buttons is the reaaon I needed this item. Fits my hands much better than the lil bitty joycons. Considering it's the most expensive controller I found, it is upsetting there are no rumble, motion controls, or nfc scanning features though.

Solved hand-cramping problem while playing mobile

As an adult with average sized hands, playing the Switch undocked with standard joycons attached was causing my hands to cramp during longer play sessions (30min+). Attaching these Hori controllers instead of Nintendo's official joycons completely solved the hand cramping problem. There's no Amiibo or haptic functionality, but the massive increase in comfort and ergonomics is a welcome trade-off.

My family really enjoys the convenience and comfort of the split pad pro. Feels more like a traditional console controller. For future development, it would be cool if the attachment were wireless. Two stars off for Best Buy not including an option to purchase a protection plan.

Pros: - Increased comfort for larger hands - Nice tactile buttons - Smooth joysticks - Programmable rear buttons - Grippy texture on the back of the controllers Cons: - Not wireless when disconnected from the switch - Cheap feeling plastic - Had trouble getting both controllers recognized when attached to the Switch These are definitely not worth their $80 price tag, really neither are the official joycons, but at least the official joycons are wireless when disconnected. This could easily be a 4 or 5 star product for a lower price or if the pad worked as a wireless controller when disconnected from the switch.

Love playing the Switch as a handheld, only problem is the size of the joycons. They’re a little thin for handles and sometimes I would find myself having trouble using all the buttons. This controller perfectly fixed my issues with the joycons. It feels like a regular controller on my Switch!

I'm a fan. The split pads make the switch sooooo much more playable in handheld mode. Sure, it loses out on all the fixins (NFC, rumble, etc) but I'm not super invested in those anyway. I'm more interested in ergonomics and the d-pad, which are both much better than with joycons. The adapter cord is a nice add-on with a pretty long cord so I can use it in the dock, too. The biggest knock against it is the cost. For this price you could get a pro-controller and one of those adapters that connect the switch to your pro controller. So, I recommend it because it works well, but it's debatable if it's worth it at this price.

The grip is very comfortable to hold. Buttons and triggers on this controller was great as well. Only downside is packing them when bringing your switch elsewhere. I like them to the point i always want to be using them but transporting them is a little annoying but worth it.
