I bought this item so I can have more comfort while playing in handheld. It definitely does the job, but I’d wait for a sale before buying. (I was impatient)

The switch Joy Con buttons are not suited for normal sized hands, this helps a lot, but I wish it didn't have to be wired - because then you can only use it as a full controller unless it's plugged into the dock

Must have for on the go gaming. let's be honest, the original joycons are hot garbage. These are miles better.

Solid for a wired controller. The back buttons are nice and the usability in both dock and handheld mode are great. The quality of the material could be better but that’s just preference

My son plays a number of games on his Switch OLED, to include Fortnite, and loves the capability and customization of the rear buttons for each game.

Imagine spending more than an actual pro controller costs to have no vibration, no motion controls, no NFC, no wireless. How on earth is this officially licensed by Nintendo? If you want a controller for docked-mode, just get a pro controller, otherwise do yourself a favor and get a MobaPad for handheld mode which has everything this is missing for handheld mode.

Very good product turbo mode works on it wonderfully and the a assign back buttons are amazing. This is the second one I owned , the first one I accidentally stepped on it, and broke it very easy to break

I have the original HORI Split Pad Pro, and really enjoy it (I would give it 5 stars on its own). I liked it enough I wanted to use it while my Switch was in docked mode, so I picked up this set. I don't know if it is a manufacturing defect, or just how this new model is, but the diagonals on the d-pad almost never register (compared to my original split pad where the d-pad was great). I can't throw a fireball in Street Fighter to save my life now, and I imagine it would make platformers near impossible. I may end up returning.

Great controler for my son. He has been using another one for the past 2 years, and this was a great change.

A phenomenal upgrade over the included Switch joycons. Feels much better in larger hands, much more substantial and sturdy. Response from games seems to be without absolutely ANY input lag.

The controller feels bulky but when you attach it to the switch for hand held mode it makes the experience 100 times better

It was during the holidays it was the last one left. It works great, but I prefer wireless
