Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the Split Pad Pro Handheld Controller for Nintendo Switch due to its comfortable design, suitable size for various hand sizes, and high-quality build. Users appreciate the enhanced grip, great feel, lightweight yet sturdy construction, and responsive buttons. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the lack of rumble and vibration features, the inability to use the controller wirelessly, and potential battery drain. While some are not concerned about drift, it is still worth noting.

These controls completely changed the experience on my Nintendo Switch. I recommend it to everyone. and makes it easier in many games like metroid dread and zelda. But my only criticism is because it doesn't come with motion sensors. Those who like to aim with weapons probably won't like it.

Some nice aspects, a lot of caveats for the price

Great d-pad. Good analog sticks. Good face buttons. Decent grip design - it doesn't feel as comfortable as something like the Satisfye grip, but it's better than just the joy-cons. It does make the unit *very* long. No rumble, and no wireless. Biggest disappointment are the back buttons: they can only be programmed to a corresponding button on each half. That makes the left one pretty useless for a lot of use cases.

    For the handheld switch gamer

These might not seem like much for the price at first glance, but if you are a big handheld switch gamer these are a must imo. Much better handle while playing, like you have a controller in your palms type of feeling with everything being upgraded to follow that feeling. Joystick movement, buttons pop, both bumpers and triggers improved as well as button mapping abilities with additional triggers on the back. Highly recommend for handheld switch gaming.

Let’s face it, joy-cons aren’t great. When playing docked, the go-to is the Pro Controller. But what about when playing on-the-go? The Split Pad Pro is essentially the handheld equivalent. While they may appear to look heavier, they’re actually quite lightweight. While gyro, HD rumble, and amiibo scanning are missing features, these provide comfort and quality to the handheld experience that are very much absent with the standard joy-con. Oh yeah, let’s not forget these offer turbo buttons!

Really makes the switch in hand held alot more enjoyable. Only downside is the controllers dont seem to have their own batteries so they drain the systems battery a bit quicker. I have small hands and i struggled with the joycons being even smaller

He's controllers are very comfortable to hold and the buttons are stiff which I like however there was a downside and that downside is I was playing super Mario deluxe u and there is an action you take when you shake the controllers and unfortunately these controllers have no shake sensitivity or I'm not sure exactly what you want to call it but when you shake the controller the action is not taking and that was a downside

This is definitely a good upgrade from the controllers it comes with. Only downside is there isn’t any vibration with game play and it can be hard to see the buttons

would get another star for wireless capabilities. i ended up getting a converter so that i can use my pro pad with tablet mode as that is a good option too also picked up the compact metal stand as this makes use of the downward facing usb-c port through a A adapter possible this makes a heavy and large setup in handheld and the save for this is just a catch of a square nub that you support the whole unit with your pointing finger. This works better for some games than others and i haven't had luck remapping the buttons or using the addition rear switch tapper.

I never realized my hands were probably too big for the factor joy-cons until I purchased this. Theses controller handles make gameplay so much more comfortable. After buying this, I had to buy the new carrying case from Amazon so now I’m good to go!

Hori split pads is of great design and great quality. It has added back trigger buttons that can be programmed. However, it lacks a number of important features: 1. No vibration 2. No Gyro sensor 3. No bluetooth (own work when attached) Without these features, you cannot enjoy AAA titles like Zelda BOTW. Many games also has vibration, so when using Hori split pads, i miss the vibration features even if gyro sensor features are not that common with games.

The original switch joy cons always felt too small for me so I tried these out and love them! They’re a lot like the Xbox controller but split in half for the switch. You cannot use them outside of handheld mode.

As you may know, the button layout on the Switch handheld is a little rough, especially if you have larger hands. After doing a bunch of research I saw that these were highly recommended. They are unbelievable. The grips are thicker and the buttons are more like a pro controller, especially on the left side where the D-Pad is flared out to the right more. My one big gripe is there is no motion control. I just realized it the other day when I played Zelda BOTW and one of the shrine puzzles used motion, and it wouldn't budge.

I want to start this review off by saying this product is for handheld mode ONLY. Reviewers leaving negative comments didn't read the description of the item, nor did they read the box the item came in. Excellent product. Excellent price. Definitely increases the comfort of handheld mode which is perfect when I want to watch football and game at the same time. The controller has a matte type finish which is good for those with sweaty hands or long game sessions. Grip remains fantastic and hands stay comfortable.

Lightweight, easy to use, only critique is if you have small hands it can be hard to grip but like it better than joy cons.
