I think that HFW deserves GOTY (probably won't win considering 2022's release lineup). A sequel that improves upon the groundbreaking achievements of its predecessor with the most beautiful open world in gaming. Environments are so pleasing to the eye that you would often find yourself taking a moment between the diverse quests to simply stand back and enjoy the beautiful terrains of the forbidden west. The machine designs are creative, with some fan favorites making a return and some newer variants debuting alongside them. In my opinion, this title takes the crown for best visuals and makes its mark alongside Playstation's third-person open-world heavyweights such as God of War, Spider Man, Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone, Death Stranding, Uncharted 4 and of course, the original, Horizon Zero Dawn. All in all, a fine addition to the golden age of single player action adventure narrative games.

Banger of game. Graphical masterpiece. Story driven.

I only bought this game because I really liked the first game. For $20 or less, is a good game. Like typical Horizon, you'll spend most of your time trying to gather resources, just to level up a weapon that you really don't need to. Why do you want to level it up, because there's an available slot to do so. The end. I never did level up all of my weapons, because I got bored with trying to do so. Overall, it's a good game. Don't want to say anything else, because I don't want to accidentally spoil it for anyone. Buy it if it's on sale.

Very fun game, and the graphics are very gorgeous.

This game isnt bad but its overrated as hell. There is nothing here that you haven't already seen in a open world game. Graphics are a 10/10, world design is beautiful. Combat and progession are fun, but still virtually identical to the first game. The only reason anyone gives this game a perfect score is because their expectations have been lowered by have lowered by the ocean of mediocre Ubisoft open world games. Horizon Forbidden West is not a bad game, but compared to actually great open world games like Red Dead 2 and Breath of the Wild, its completely lacking in creativity and personality. You can't seriously tell me you enjoyed listening to hours of Horizon's weak writing. You cant say with a straight face that this game's story is anything memorable. Name 1 character besides Aloy and describe their personality and why they're important (you cant). And if you play open world games, like ever, you cannot say that you haven't done every activty this game has to offer before. A good sequel is more than making a new world and adding new enemy types and character abilities. You need to improve the core foundation of the game, and you cannot say that Forbidden West does that.

I loved the original Horizon, and have been enjoying this one even more. It's a beautiful game with a lot of variety. Guerllia games really knocked it out of the park with this one.

I personally thought the story and characters met were great and overall well written, with some interesting stories. There were a few things I question, story wise, but nothing game breaking. A fun challenge all around.

This is a highly recomended video game. The Story is very impressive,the side mission are very addictive. The Final truly had my heart beating fast.

Beautiful game, great story, smooth mechanics. I really like this game and its prequel. I recommend it to anyone that likes third person, open world games with a good story.

Plays similar to zero dawn. Expands on the already great stealth / melee tactics and abilities from the first. Story is great like the first game. Ton of campfires for lots of fast travel locs. If you played zero dawn def give it a go.

I loved playing the first game & put in a lot of hours on it. I am excited to play this sequel. The graphics look amazing & the new gameplay mechanics are a big upgrade which makes the game a lot more fun to play.

It's a great game if you like a faster paced action game. I think it has a few visual and collision bugs but nothing that breaks the game. If you haven't played the first game Zero Dawn then it will tell you everything that happened in that one and catch you up. If you have played Zero Dawn and enjoyed that, this one expands on everything from the first game. The story is fine, but I enjoy it for the fun of taking on giant robot dinosaurs. Also to note, if you have a PS5 then you can buy the PS4 version you can redeem the PS5 version on the Playstation store and the PS4 disc will be used for authenticating. This can save you the difference between a PS4 game and a PS5 game, not a lot but it's a nice little treat.

One heck of a story that doesn't disappoint. So many things to do that are challenging if you're trying to get everything.

One of the best looking games and its a free upgrade to the ps5. An easy recommend to anyone that owns a ps4 or ps5!

Love the gameplay. The open world and RPG aspects. Played the prequel and loved every second of it ! Now I'm gonna do the same to this one! Great way to zone out and hunt animals ! 10/10
