This hover bord is seriously neat! My 8-year-old has been wanting one forever and patiently waited until his 8th birthday for the coolest gift! This hover board is smart and alerts when not on a flat surface, recalibrated itself and with practice, can go up to 7mph with a great battery life. I highly recommend. The lights on there look super cool and we all want to ride it! We may add another to our home sometime soon!

The Hover-1 Blast is the third hoverboard I picked up for my family to use around the farm. With the lower weight rating and speed rating, this board is a good fit for the smaller riders, and can give them the confidence needed to move up to the faster boards. In the box is the hoverboard, charging cable with indicator light, and safety manual. Setup is simple plug, charge, and play. My initial impression is that the Blast wins the aesthetics competition, as the build is solid black, with sleek lines and foot pads that blend into the standing platform. The LED lighting on the front and wheels makes it easy to see the board in the dark, but also adds in a fun aspect to riding in the evening. There are two green lights on the foot surface, one is a power indicator, the second light shows that the motors are active due to weight being applied to the foot pad. See photo for example of light indicators. The motors will not engage until the foot pad is stepped on. As far as riding goes, this board is a solid entry level board. I found that the self balancing of this board is lacking in comparison with my other Hover 1 board, or my off road board, but on par with the entry level features. The teens in my house found this board to be sporty, but also required more effort to balance and ride. The board does best on level ground, my 85 lb tween was able to ride it up a 5% grade, but it could not achieve top speed, and bobbled a bit when transitioning between asphalt and concrete or areas where grass grew over the driveway. I am at the weight limit of this board and could not get the board up the same hill. I think the board is missing the beginner brake, a feature where the hoverboard stops moving when someone steps / falls off. This makes riding on hills a bit of a challenge, but the board only weighs 15 lbs, so not difficult for a younger rider to grab it and carry it back to a flat surface. Overall, this board is great for determining if hoverboards are something a smaller rider would enjoy. It's challenging enough, and fast enough, to prepare a rider for a step up larger board, but has enough features to still be fun to ride for quite some time after mastering staying on.

Bought this for our 6 year old it only took him about a hour and he was a pro. Now he does everything on it. When we are charging it its like going for a car trip lol. "Is it charged yet" "Is it charged yet"

This was the best thing we purchased for grandchildren. We purchased 4. They rode them for over 7 miles and they still had a good charge on them. Be sure to get protective gear.

It was fun for about a month and a half two months wrote it inside the house. Majority of the time once or twice outside and decent sunny weather, but now only spends on one tire not worth the money does not last very long and is not very durable.

3 months in and it's dead... Hover 1 only warranties their products for 3 months and I'm just out of warranty as we bought this for my kid for xmas... Manufacture date on the bottom of the hoverboard is 2021, and we just got it in 2023, wonder why the battery died... SHAME SHAME SHAME BEST BUY, BREAKING LITTLE KIDS HEARTS SELLING OUTDATED ELECTRONICS!!!!!
