|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As soon as the Hover-1 Scooter / Hoverboard was unboxed and turned on, it was clear it was going to be a blast. First thing you will notice is its weight. It is heavy at about 15 pounds and definitely feels sturdy and well constructed. When I turned it on, my attention went immediately to the lights on the front and sides on the wheels, these make it look a bit more fun and will stand out for spectators as well as the rider. On the board is a battery indicator as well so you know when it is ready to go. The pads on the device are rubber and will help prevent the rider from slipping off and the other important note is that when it says it is self balancing, it is true. One of the things I’ve seen with other models is that the scooter itself does not help the rider stay on by adjusting as needed. This one does. As my daughter climbed on, I held her hand the first time but the board itself compensated a bit back and forth so that once she was ready, it was easy to start her ride. It has a maximum weight capacity of about 160 pounds, will get up to 7 mph with a range of about 3 miles. I am fairly certain that she has yet to hit the limit but she certainly had a great time for the hour or two she was riding it. A lot of fun for her and her friends. Highly recommend it.

Once we opened it you can hear plastic clinging around inside of it. and also when you stand on it it bows in the middle a lot like it will snap. I am not sure if it was dropped or not handled with care during shipping and receiving. But we will need a replacement
