Bought this product because they only had 1 remaining Segway f30 and I wanted 2. Rode for a weekend with the girlfriend and wasn’t impressed I did like it was faster than the F30 but other than that the wheel turned sideways when it hit a little bump the kickstand was loose after a weekend along with other screws and it started making a weird noise from the back end. For the price it gets the job done it was fun but in reality I don’t think it’s built to last like the Segway one. I returned it at a different Best Buy and got another f30 so imo pay the extra but maybe I just got a defective one.

The tires pop easily and it lost its value after the first run. I would much rather the arm not fold down for safety reasons. I skate and i think this scooter is a little dangerous.

I picked up this scooter during the 4th of July Sale! The Scooter was about 100$ off, I picked this guy up for a little over 400. This is my first E Scooter i have purchased.
The scooter seems really solid out of the box!
The quality of this scooter is pretty solid for the price point! The tires are also really nice with 10 inch wheels!
The digital dash display is also really cool addition which i really enjoy! Ive seen some of the other models and this LCD screen is my favorite. The ride for the most part is smooth. I would however recommend inflating the tires as mine def needed a bit more air but after that the ride was way smoother ! also dont forget to add slime to the tires to make them last longer !
This scooter also comes with a cool LED light for night riding ! the light is self pretty bright for the most part, you will def be able to see whats ahead in the dark though i dont recommend night riding because of safety reasons.
This Scooter also has 3 speed modes. Eco mode, Normal mode, and sport mode which i call manual mode because ur in the most control of your speed. There is also a cruise control feature which really makes this scooter awesome. For some one who has had a fair share of rental E scooters im sure you have experienced hand cramps after long rides of holding the throttle so this def is a big plus ! The battery is removable so you can buy extra and have them on standby. You can also cut the white cord to get rid of the speed limit. Now when it comes to buying spare parts youll need to do some research as i cant seem to find the specific parts for this model on the secondary market but if you do a little research you can find them they just wont be Hover Brand. In all id say its a solid 8/10 this scooter is perfect for a entry scooter! The price is solid and the fun it brings is pricless! To note i did do a 6 mile trip in this with some hills and the bike did good for the most part but it struggles with hills as most E scooters do! My fix is just treat is like a normal scooter on hills and kick push as you hold the throttle to make the uphill ride better. Use your judgement when hitting hills. In all for my first scooter I am very happy! Also im a 29 Year old adult whos 6 feet and around 170 pounds and I am gliding through my neighborhood .

Bought 2 of these for my teenage kids in Feb 22 because they were on sale. Selling point was the swappable battery. They were out of the box a bit differently than advertised. Had grip tape on it and no key for battery. Mine did not come with a pump either. This scooter is basically the same as an X7 or X8. These companies get these from the same Chinese factories then put their logo and info on it that's why many scooters look the same. So it boils down to customer service it seems. If they're more expensive you'll prob get better customer service. This scooter was easy to set up out of box. You should have some basic mechanical aptitude and know how to adjust the brakes and make sure you go over it and tighten the screws etc. This particular scooter is not even on Hovers website. The warranty is an utter joke and I read mostly negative comments on company response if you have an issue. However, these scooters have so far performed pretty well. They are quite quick and silent. The range on the battery is good but not what they advertise. That all depends on rider weight flat surface etc but the range is quite a few miles. I'm a bigger guy on the max weight end and they got up in speed no problem and I still got about 10 miles. Lighter people can go quite a few more miles. I did get a flat cause of a small nail. I fixed it with slime and put slime in all the tires to help prevent any punctures. I strongly recommend it as it's pretty cheap to do. The scooters are also actually pretty comfortable despite no real suspension other than the air tires. These scooters are legit transportation and not a toy but are fun as heck to ride. They def need to be ridden conservatively and not jumping off curbs etc or you'll have problems. They are pretty light weight and fold up nicely and should fit in the back of most cars. I have no idea where to get another battery but def recommend getting one if you like riding a lot. Hovers website doesn't sell them but they seem to share the same battery as other scooters so they have to be out there. As far as the durability or longevity I can't say but we'll see. I've read mixed reviews on that. All in all not too bad so far and I would recommend these to someone.

Well worth the money. I had the swagtron before and that sucked because the front tires were not air filled and cracks on the street would cause a sudden stop on the vehicle, making me fly off and fall. This one has air. And big tires to absorb the shocks. It goes far too. I get a good 10 miles? And at super fast speeds. The only issue is i got a nail on the back tire. There is one with honeycomb tires but i opted for this one because swagtron gave me a bad impression. Not the products fault for the streets having a nail. Also.. I didnt get my air pump. Lol? What but thats cool i have bike pump.

Good scooter but if you have the ability purchase the additional warranty. My 11 year old daughter used this for school and the accelerator broke. It was not covered under the warranty and now we can't find parts. Sucks.

The scooter is great. But the company is trash. I got a flat tire in march and emailed the company. The company refused to email me about a replacing the tire, I WAS EVEN WILLING TO PAY FOR THE TIRE. Tire is hard to locate to replace that will not fail within a week. I WOULD NOT BUY IT IF GIVEN THE OPTION.

It was a decent scooter for the price. It went up and down inclines very well. The only issue was the battery running low fast as well as it not being a smooth ride majority of the time (bumpy feel).

Im giving this scooter 4 stars because of the experience I had with the first 3 of them that I bought and had to return. The first 2 were defective, and the 3rd had the accelerator break within a few days. Luckily I was within my return period and tried my luck one last time. The model I exhanged for went 3mph less than the last model, but had some improvements that I thought made up for the loss in speed. This scooter has been getting me to and from work in NYC and Ive yet to run out of juice. I just hate the speed limiter (16mph) and wish there was a way to remove it without voiding the warranty. Overall this is a great commuter scooter, especially for its price point.

Nice scooter, however I did not receive the scooter with the rubber deck. Mine came with a piece of griptape that was already peeling off. Kind of misleading.

Hover-1 Terrible service to fix throttle issues

This is more a review of the service provided by Hover-1 for this item. Last week, as my son was riding, the throttle lever became limp. It would no longer speed up or slow down. He was forced to brake hard and jump off the scooter in order to stop. I looked online and saw many choices of replacement throttle levers. I contacted Hover-1 directly for instructions on how to change out the throttle. First, they sent instructions and photos for a different assembly on a different scooter. When I responded with a photo of the correct model, they said that "We consulted with the engineering department, and they recommend you do not remove the existing throttle assembly as it may damage other electronic components. We apologize for the inconvenience." Some service! He has ridden this for only a few months, and we are very disappointed that the Hover-1 company doesn't care to even give further instructions. Terrible purchase. Terrible company!

This scooter
I would giving it five stars
However I could only give it four
Only two things I don't like about the scooter
Number 1 it takes like 5 hours to fully charge it
Number 2 I wish I had a little bit more power going up the hills
However a simple side note I am 230 lb
The weight restriction on this scooter is 265
So does it take me up the hills yes
Just sometimes it takes a sweet time doing it
However it is very fun and when it goes the max speed it is very fun
Claims 18 miles an hour however I've seen the speedometer up to 20 mostly on flat land
Will I recommended scooter to anybody
Absolutely
And I do
