This is a classic 80’s movies full of the classic comedy and action you would expect from a 80s syfy/comedy.

I've always loved and really enjoyed this movie. Big part of my childhood. The Blu-ray copy was a must!

"In the beginning there was.. Howard The Duck!" While DC had some success with Superman and Batman and Marvel had some fun small screen successes... Marvel's first character to leap from comic pages to the silver screen was the relatively obscure Howard The Duck created by Steve Gerber for "Adventure into Fear #19". Produced by Star Wars creator George Lucas the film is certainly a strange one. But then so was the comic book that the movie was based on. The Blu-ray looks magnificent and features some great extras that offers a fairly detailed exploration of the film's production from the cast and crew. If you haven't seen it... give it a chance. And if you own it on DVD already like I do... I would absolutely recommend the upgrade if you're a fan of the film or the character. Honestly I think the movie gets a lot more hate that it deserves. Is it a perfect film? No. But honestly it's best to ignore the critics and give the film a fair shake. It's a fun little Cult Classic worth a look. Especially with the amusing cameo by Howard the Duck at the end of the recent Marvel blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy.

I love this movie and have not seen it in a very long time so I bought it to show my daughter's.

You cant go wrong with 80s movies. This gem has some one liners you still hear today.

Fun movie that delves into the life of one of Marvel’s more interesting characters!

Howard the duck has gotten a very bad rep over the years for it being considered one of the worst movies ever made and one of the biggest hollywood bombs of all time. I remember seeing this movie a lot as a kid and loved it! as an adult, i still love it and realized its not that bad of a movie. sure its not great but ive seen worst and theres been worst. story of a duck from another planet whos world is similar to us, gets accidently transported to earth and lands in cleveland ohio where he meets the beautiful rock singer Beverly (played by Back to the Future's Lea Thompson) who is struggling to make it big, helps him find his way back home with the help of a bumbling scientist (played by Shawshank Redemption's Tim Robbins). on their journey, they discover due to the accident in the lab that brought howard to earth, something else besides howard came to earth as well and it is an evil creature set on bringing back more to destroy the world. its up to howard and phil to rescue beverly and save the world. yeah it sounds hokey and cheesy but turn off your brain for two hours and youll be pleasantly surprised.

One of my favorite movies of all time from the eighties. Can't go wrong with this movie at all.

Like I said, great throwback 80s movie. Might just be the first Marvel movie.

Very funny movie about a talking duck transported to earth and trying to fit in but can't.

Howard the Duck is a film that I grew up with, I was only a 1 year old when it was released, but my mom and I would watch it together all the time. I think that's the reason why this movie is just special to me. But still I watch this movie and honestly it's not as bad as most people exaggerate it to be, granted it's not Citizen Kane, but it's still awesome to watch. I think people take the movie too seriously, first off look at the title, if you're expecting a duck to deliver an Oscar worth performance, get your head checked, second people make fun of the "flirting" between the duck and Lea Thompson, which was meant to be a joke, not real. Third, the ending, people make fun of it and it's being over the top, I personally found it to be so funny and still a ton of fun to watch, how could you not get a kick out of Jeffrey Jones' performance? He was awesome! If you wanna know what the movie is about, read on before you see the movie so you can get a good idea and judge for yourself.

This is a gold mine for a lover of terrible movies. It's so bad it's awesome!

living in Cleveland, I had to buy this movie. It's funny for all ages, and sure isn't Disney
