Just to counter all the negative reviews...the Duc
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.understand why someone who is looking for a great film would be disappointed. Howard the Duck is no Saving Private Ryan or English Patient. Thankfully not all films are or we'd be really bored. What Howard The Duck IS is entertaining. It's a guy in a duck suit...so what? It's pretty funny and refreshingly enjoyable to watch. It is a well made B-movie...so if you look at it on that level then it's a lot of fun. And it's not helpful to compare the film which is aimed at a young audience to the comic which was very adult. Two different things entirely...really, if there were enough fans of the comic (and I'm one) then there would be a new, adult version of Howard. I don't see that happening. So enjoy the film for what it is. I hope the DVD does it justice.

A documented bomb in 4K
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie was George Lucas’s attempt to capture magic in a bottle after his Star Wars movies. This didn’t happen due to some weird scenes, soft movie writing, and a naked duck woman. It was a movie I liked as a kid about a human like duck who is pulled from his world and then stick on ours. It is based on Marvel Comic and it does have a following. I loved it as a kid and it still holds it weight with me. Also I love Lea Thompson so that counts as well. Lol

The Forgotten and Nostalgic Hero of the MCU!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Classic Sci-Fi and nostalgic from the 80s in a bottle. Howard the Duck is the forgotten and little known about hero in the MCU. His interstellar travel and misadventures while saving the universe are still enjoyable 30 years later. You can't go wrong with George Lucas and a young Lea Thompson. Also, the characters of Jeffrey Jones and a young Tim Robbins help round up the movie. A cult classic must have and where the MCU got it's start.

Great bundle of zaniness in a High-Def package!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This film may not be for everyone but for fans of 80s cult films this one will satisfy many a collector. This 4K release gives this mixed film a wonderful high definition transfer and tons of wonderful extras ported from the original BluRay. Highly recommend this to fans of the film or for others who simply want to watch this film in, arguably, the best physical media format to date.

Movie is Bad but the Steelbook is Excellent.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is honestly the strangest thing you can buy. The movie is horrible and honestly one of the worst films you can find, however the steelbook is one of the best Of the year. There’s so much detail and color you honestly feel like you got something prestigious even though it’s Howard the Duck. The picture quality is surprisingly first rate and the audio is also excellent. If you’re ever going to own this movie, this is the best way to have it.

Get your duck in UHD!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely a must have for hardcore fans of Howard The Duck or just this movie. The UHD Blu-Ray transfer is crystal clear. The sound is amazing. You can even see a stunt sting in a shot where a stunt man is pulled through a window., This is truly where the MCU started and many forget that. Truly a bizarre movie that has a huge cult following as well. I recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen it and likes to step into the unusual.

Space Ducks?

Great add to early Marvel collection
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am extremely happy with this 4k steelbook buy. Artwork is what I'd expect for a premium price. The visuals and sound is a definite upgrade but don't expect to be blown away. This is a great buy for a "camp" movie about a Marvel character. Some consider Blade to be the true catalyst for the MCU it could be debated if Howard the Duck is worthy of that title.

Cult Classic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fun fact: it's the first feature-length film based on a Marvel character. Howard the Duck is an ill-tempered "visitor" and interesting choice for any close encounter of the 5th kind. It was critical panned and bombed at the box office when it came out in 1986, but has grown into a cult classic produced by George Lucas. Howard has resurfaced in both Guardians of the Galaxy movies during the end credits. I found it in a BB bin for $5.99 which is a good deal.

The Memories
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a movie i watched as a kid in the early 90's (but i wouldnt say it is so much kid friendly lol). Its not met to be Oscar level movie and it got a lot hate towards it about how people dont like it. Its not for everyone, But its a movie that you either like it or hate it.

Nostalgic fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This film gets it's fair share of hate. It was on all the time when i was a child. I have revisited it many times since my childhood including this purchase. I enjoy it every time. Is it the best Marvel film, no but not horrible either. Despite the haters give it a shot.
