Howl was the very first Miyazaki Directed Studio Ghibli film I ever watched, and Honestly can say, I have no clue why I waited so long. The film is based around our main character Sophie Who has been cursed by a witch and in her travles to find a way to break it comes across highly powerful and equally Eclectic wizard named howl. Although this movie was obviously made for a younger audience it doesn’t leave us in the older audience out of the equation. The curse that Sophie has put on her by the witch Affects our appearance making her look like an old woman, hence reflecting on the outside how she feels about herself on the inside. This message is definitely one that can be understood by all ages. There can be moments in time where we feel a lot older than we are and sometimes that can hinder the way we perceive ourselves. And although we have our own way of thinking and perceiving ourselves sometimes it takes the observation of some one else to make you realize you’re worth. Overall this movie was amazing. The artwork was amazing the animation was amazing the music was amazing and to boot Howl himself was voiced by none other than Christian Bale (Batman in the Dark Knight trilogy). So do yourself a favor whether you buy it or stream it watch this movie it will not disappoint.

Three things to talk about... 1) I've never read the books, so I can't make comparisons between the manga (books) and the anime (movie). 2) The Steelbook itself... The case is very well put together, it is a clam-shell type case that has a beautiful matte red finish, which makes it easy to clean and keep free of fingerprints and dust. 3) The movie itself... This is another wonderful movie from Miyazaki through Studio Ghibli. It has a truly moving plot with great character development throughout the movie. Miyazaki movies are known for character development, and this movie truly showcases how the two main characters grow, develop, and change through the movie. I would highly recommend this movie to those who love anime, as well as for those who have never experienced anime, and for those who like strong, well-developed characters in their movies.

Wonderful film! A treasure to share with my kid. We watched this over and over again. Best Buy needs to figure out how to care of Steelbook shipping...The box came a bit dented but no big deal.

I already knew that the movie was amazing, and after seeing the design of the steelbook I knew I had to have it. However, it was a lot harder to find than I thought, and the staff at the Best Buy in Nashville I went to went above and beyond to track down the last copy for me

If you are a fan of the style and you have not seen this movie you owe it to yourself to do so. I recommend the purchase of this DVD/Blueray because the movie is so good you will want to own it. This studio has put out some of the best Anime to date.

Love Studio Ghibli and steelbooks so this was a no brainier for me. The steelbook continues the theme of past Studio Ghibli steelbooks which is good they simple but well done. Would recommend this to anime fans and steelbook collectors alike.

This is one of the best feature films from Studio Ghibli and that too directed by Hayao Miyazaki. For fans, it’s a must to add to your collections. The steelbook is absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to collect them all!

The movie itself has been my favorite film for the longest time but the fact that the scene on the steel book is the scene that made me fall in love with the movie is just the best thing they could have done.
