Good quality UV Filter. Ready a lot of reviews regarding the need for a UV Filter. Professional photographers seem split on the issue if these are needed anymore. Found some very compelling reasons for protecting your expensive lens, like Tree Sap or some other foreign matter that's sticky and hard to come off your lens.

This filter is great at blocking out the UV rays from the sun. It does not take away that much from the quality of the photo.
