Never thought I needed this until I started using one. Great on my 50mm 1.8. Used it almost every chance I got. Even for night photography with ample light. Cuts on glare and cuts down on over exposure in sunlight. Will buy a new one for every lens I get for now on. Plus it protects your lens. Only gripe, it would fall off after spinning to adjust the feature. Also it would grind when I would rotate as well. Not sure if I just had a bad one.

These are not the cheapest CPL filter available, but you are paying for the Hoya name. These fit the lens perfectly and does it's job

It's alright for the price. It isn't made to the tightest tolerances, so turning the polarizing element is a little rough and gritty feeling. The threads are cheap metal and cross easily (as I pointed out in another review). The polarizing effect is slightly uneven across the field of view, which isn't an issue for MOST shooting situations. It's an ok value for the money overall, a really nice upgrade from one of these will cost over 2x the price, which pretty much puts this one at the top of it's price point competitors.

Not a bad polarizer, took great pics while out on the ocean on vacation. The only downside is there really is no indication or stops which would be nice to be able to lock down a setting and go with it. But for the price, can't complain.

This is one of the most expensive polarizers considering it doesn’t provide any additional f-stops. The main reason I got it was the picture quality as this one has little to no vignetting, the adjustment ring is a little stiff which is good for me as it doesn’t move unless I want it to

I mated this to my A7Riii, and it is quite a treat to see the colors transform and just pop when printing out my shots. Quite vivid and never saturated are what others have said about my shots once I started using the filter in outdoor photography.

This was the first polarizer I purchased for my new Sony a7iii camera. So far, so good! It took a little effort to attach firmly to the 35mm Sony Zeiss lens, but it is secure. Provides the flexibility that I was seeking.

have been experimenting with using this filter. so far not getting much improvement over pics without the filter, but might be my inexperience.

It's a great filter/protector for your lens. Good polarized effect without distorting your pictures.

I'm not new to what a polarizer can do and while this one does get the job done, I've noticed some vignetting in most if not all of my shots. However, this can be very easily removed in post, if you tend to post to social media straight out of camera, chances are you'll end up cropping anyway so it might not be a big deal after all.

Good filter a lot better than the Platinum ones but it can be a pain to take off the lens
