My wife and I have had small Android tablets for quite a while, but I wanted to get my wife a bigger tablet for her to play games, do some web surfing, etc. I got this HP 11-inch tablet, which looks amazing and has a great screen. It has a virtual keyboard, which is fine, but you can also buy a physical keyboard for it. It comes with a 128GB solid state drive and 4GB of RAM. Not a ton, but enough for basic use. It comes with a magnetic backing that helps you grip the tablet and doubles as a stand when folded out. The main drawback I found with this tablet is it comes with Windows 11 in S Mode, which I had never heard of before. S Mode means that it's a secure tablet that can only use apps pre-installed and/or from the Microsoft Store (their version of the app store). This makes it very limited in it's use, at least for what we wanted to use it for. Luckily, you can opt out of S Mode and switch to Windows 11 Home easily and for free. Once you get out of S Mode, you can't go back, so think it over carefully. Once out of S Mode you can use whatever programs and apps you want, which is what we did. I'm sure S Mode would be fine for people that aren't computer savvy or in a situation where you want to control what programs and apps people can use (a work situation, perhaps). The camera that comes with the tablet is pretty cool. It is generally back-facing, for taking pictures or video, but then if you press the button next to the camera, the camera flips up and is forward-facing, so you can use it for selfies or video-chat. According to the specs, the camera is 13 megapixels, which seems perfectly fine for a tablet. There is a microSD port for added storage and a USB-C port for charging and any accessories that use USB-C. Other than that, if you need to use any accessories, there's Bluetooth for connectivity.

Great tablet. Love the camera feature. Facial recognition, fingerprint, pin, it is a windows tablet and works just like a PC. It would be nice to have come with a pen but overall this is a great tablet. Very fast response. Battery does run low fairly fast, thats why i gave it 4 stars. Super easy setup and can link with your other windows devices, bluetooth and wifi. The magnetic stand serves as protection on the back and can adjust to many diferent positions.

This tablet is a pretty diverse tablet for its price point. If you’re in a pretty tight budget, & you need a tablet that can do a lot, this one might just be for you. If you need to do things that require a lot of memory, I think it’s better to buy a top-of-the-line tablet. Pros: - built well & somewhat light in weight - Apps open well in general. Kinda weird because some open immediately, yet some open slowly - The 360 degree camera is a cool feature - 4K videos download quickly from the internet - The magnetic kickstand is very sturdy, but it’s flexible enough for you to look at the screen however you want - Nice to know there’s a magnetic feature for a pen which is sold separately - Sound is pretty loud - You can watch videos, create presentations, etc. -HP Quickdrop works really well and very quickly in transferring files from my iPhone to the tablet. Cons: - scrolling up & down the internet is not smooth - Colors aren’t as true & vibrant as others - Bezels around the tablet could be a little thinner - Camera isn’t as clear, & the picture quality isn’t as great as others - Same with videos

Do you really want Windows on a tablet

I have struggled with my thoughts about this tablet. I am unable to determine if I don't like it because of a fault in the laptop or because Windows 11 just irritates me. I thing is for sure, if you get this please get the model with the keyboard, there is no "tablet" mode, that makes it easy to use with your fingers. The buttons are too small and too finicky on the screen to be comfortable with extended use. The specs are not amazing either, and given the price and the tag as a "tablet" you have to compare it to Apple products, and especially with the new iPad Air with the M1 chip. That thing will wipe the floor with this tablet in terms of performance, I know it has just 64 GB of space, but that should be more than enough if you can continuously backup to the cloud, or use this for basic use. Multi-tasking performance starts chugging if you have multiple chrome tabs open and then god forbid try to open a separate application and expect it to be smooth. I did not have the "pen" with me to try it out, so no comments on that. Battery life is not great either, and it lasts about 4-5 hrs of uptime on light use. Overall, if you really want Windows on a "tablet", yeah this might be the option to go for, but please get a keyboard.
