Dont let the reviews sway you, give it a look yourself in a local Best Buy. I did and love this Chromebook, the pen is great, and its so useful as both a chromebook and chrome tablet, the cameras are even decent. has enough power to run most things on the play store (ran COD and it was fine). even ran Linux apps on it.Battery life is great, speakers werent the greatest, but again not as bas=d as some reviewers say. the device even includes the keyboard and kickstand, as well as a full sized pen that uses a magnet to attach to the chromebook, and charge it as well

    HP X2 11 is fast!

I have had the HP X2 11 in hand for about a week and so far very happy with my purchase. The Chromebook is one of the fastest I have used. Battery life is as advertised. I have used it for 8+ hours on a single charge and charging is quick. The included rechargeable USI Pen is very responsive in the new Cursive application and in other pen enabled applications. The only disappointing item so far are the onboard speakers. I expected the sound to be louder and more crisp as they are Bang & Olufsen. I am giving the HP 4 stars as I can't give it 5 due to the speakers.

Quite a pleasant surprise! This was our first Chromebook and while there is a learning curve, it completely exceeded expectations. Lightweight, portable and powerful.

I have been using Chromebook 2 years, I had a powerful one plus the old Lenovo Chromebook Duet, however the Lenovo one is too weak for my work, and it's almost not possible to connect external display (1080p 30Hz, where to find?) Here are some thoughts after using it for a week: 1. It comes with USI pen, and similar to Apple Pencil Gen 2 it's possible to stick to right side (magnetic) and charge (My Asus C436 and Lenovo Duet have to find a way to store them separately) 2. Keyboard is kind of normal laptop layout, with clicking like mechanical keyboard I felt very comfortable even when working long time with it. There are complains about the keyboard surface not hard enough so typing on lap is difficult, I would say unless you press very firmly on keys most of the time otherwise it's never an issue. But of course when comparing with old/new Lenovo Duet/Duet 3/Duet 5, their keyboards are harder which is even better. 3. Fingerprint support is not very common on Chromebooks, however it's convenient. 4. Display support is decent, internal display is 2K (however considering the actual size of screen I am not going to use native resolution), and supports 1 ext. display with 2K@60Hz or 4K@30Hz (tested both), now in my workplace I just need to plug my USB-C monitor to it and it works perfectly. I also tested 4K YouTube which doesn't lag when I am using 4K monitor. 5. 2 x USB-C ports, both ports on the same side and the spacing is not same as Macbooks, so don't try to use those dual USB-C hubs on this Chromebook. Personally I would still like to have one on each side. 6. Kick stand is solid, you can set it to almost laying down on table for writing, unfortunately this kick stand doesn't support portrait direction. In general getting around 20-30 tabs opening and work daily with this Chromebook is of no trouble, it's definitely not just a simple travel companion like the old Lenovo Duet.

This is a fantastic Chromebook with a detachable keyboard which allows you to use it as a tablet. The build quality is a step above anything else I've seen in a Chromebook. HP priced it accordingly at $600 and I suspect people shopping for Chromebooks have passed on it based only on the price but when Best buy has it on sale for half price or less it's one heck of a deal. I've taken it on a flight and it was perfect for watching downloaded videos on an airplane tray table.

Thisis a very versible computer. I find that I use it the most as a tablet using the touchscreen and stylus. However it is great to have the keyboard available when typing long documents. The most amazing thing to me was how easy it was to set up; all I had to do was enter my gmail email and the rest of the setup was done automatically. The computer is also heavier than it looks like it would be and tells me it is packed full of all the electronic goodies that makes it wook so well. The battery life far exceeded my expectations. I charge it typically every 3-4 days and I use it 2-3 hours on the average every day.

A good update from the Lenovo Duet, if on sale

As most everyone has already said, the build quality for this Chromebook is fantastic. The keyboard and trackpad especially feel great for this kind of computer (other it seeming to lack a magnet at the top of the screen to keep the keyboard in place while it's closed) and far better than what the Lenovo Duet offers. I love the ability to attach it to the screen, like a Surface, to give it an angle. The kickstand is also thinner, and feels even more sturdy, and lacks the faux-cloth covering the Duet has, which, at least on mine, is starting to fray a bit, so those are all pluses in my book. In terms of speed, it is mostly an upgrade, although I've encountered a few things that are slightly slower, comparing them side-by-side. Those things could be improved over time, however, with updates, and even if not, it isn't a huge deal. I would say, though, if you're coming from a Duet, like I am, don't expect it to be a huge leap. The main issue I had with it is simply the price. In fact, I wound up returning the first unit I bought because, as nice as it is, it didn't feel worth twice as much as I paid for the Duet for a minimal improvement to speed, and nicer build quality. It is certainly still a good machine, but, for me, I don't know that I could recommend it. However, I've re-ordered it now that it's gone on sale for $399. At that price, I think it is a great upgrade, or initial purchase for anyone interested in having a Chrome tablet with a nice, premium feel and decent performance.

If you find yourself liking the design of the Microsoft surface family then this is a great Chromebook at a very good price, especially if you can get on sale like I did. Build quality has felt good and the OS feels snappy as usual. The included keyboard and the stylus make this an easy recommendation. The hinge on the back is nice and stiff to keep the screen at the angle you want

Great computer for everyday life, browsing, videos, music and books reading. Love the detachable keyboard and the medium size. Great quality as well, robust. Very versatile. Use a 256go SD card to place my thousand of books, videos and music. Always with me... Love this little gem of a computer. Perfect addition to my Apple powerbook and iMac. Half the price of an iPad...

This is my first Chromebook. The fit and finish are excellent. I especially like that everything comes with the computer including backplate, keyboard, and pencil. The display is impressive at 1440P. HD videos look great. I had some initial concern about using this on my lap, but it is not a problem. The keyboard magnets are very strong. It won't detach accidentally. My only wish would be for magnets to hold the keyboard closed.

The HP-11" works, both as a small laptop and as a tablet. The keys tend to get sticky and the cursor jumpy, often enough that sometimes I'm stopping multiple times in a sentence to tap the touchpad enough to get them back to normal. But it's relatively small and lightweight.

Great device. Wish it had built-in storage for apps, but the microSD slot helps with allowing for more room to save files (just wish this feature was listed more obviously on the product page). Love the fact that it comes with the pen and keyboard when other major brands make you purchase them separately.

This tablet does everything I needed it to do and then some. The only down fall is dealing with files but I am learning ways to get it done easier now. I really like how it comes with the detachable keyboard that also doubles as a case. I was able to find a Vivatar usb C card reader that also does usb drives and hooks to hdmi ths enabled me to do even more with this tablet.
