For $300 this is unbeatable, even full price this tablet is amazing!!! Especially if you use only Google products like myself ! I can find my phone using one click in the corner of the tablet, it connects to hotpot easily, comes with a pen and a keyboard, most charge separately for those. I wish that bestbuy had more accessories for this like a screen protector. But this is such a nice high quality tablet, perfect for work. I'm a fan of Google products they are half the price as apple but twice as many features.

A solid Chromebook and great for the price (when on deep discount). It works well in both tablet and laptop mode. I enjoy using the Play Store for my regular apps in tablet mode and being able to attach the keyboard to use for work tasks. Very versatile and gives you a decent experience in both modes.

We have greatly enjoyed our HP Chromebook. It has held up well and is easy to use. Ours has a flexible cover that acts as a stand. This is a great Chrome book.

Even though the CPU is underpowered, the performance is fine for such a device. I liked the pen as well. But this tablet is heavy, much heavier than other similarly sized tablets. And the speakers are underwhelming. There are better options out there

Bought it as replacement for my aging M3 pixel slate.. I wanted a tablet convertible for reading comics and using as a daily driver for mails, browsing and content consumption (media) - this ticks all the right things. The only reason for the 4/5 stars is the price, while I got this for sale, 399 is still a little expensive for its internals. It should be around 300-350 IMO. Note: My use-case is very specific, this is not a powerful machine so unless you are only doing the same/similar things as I am, you may encounter performance issues ( I sometimes hit occasional hiccups as well) Anyway, for now this will do until we get a pixel slate successor which is around 10-11" of size

    King of Duds

I thought this was the "king of Chromebook detachables" as another reviewer stated. Sure the keyboard was a little crammed, but for 11" what can you expect? The case is super sturdy, the magnets are strong on the case. The screen is one of the best screens I've ever seen in a Chromebook, the battery life is great, and it's an arm processor that works great with Android apps. It's not the fastest but it's a lot faster than the Asus CM3 or the Lenovo Duet, so for me this was the best detachable by a long shot. I used this for a full day on a desk, and used it off and on even on my lap, and it felt great. But after a long night, I plopped on the couch, I attacked the keyboard, and I rested my left hand to the left of the trackpad, and my right hand to the right of the trackpad, and sure enough, it started clicking the trackpad without me doing anything. I did some tests, simply putting my left hand by itself, on the left side of the trackpad and pressing down, and sure enough, even a moderate amount of pressure from my wrist/hand was enough to trigger a click from the trackpad, even though I wasn't pressing it! I then did the same with my right hand/wrist, placing it on the keyboard deck, to the right of the trackpad, and once again, it started clicking. Then I placed both hands on the keyboard deck, left and right, and sure enough, with a moderate amount of pressure, simply resting my wrists on the keyboard deck, it clicked the trackpad without me pressing it. Even grabbing the keyboard by the corners (thumbs on top, hands on bottom) and doing a small amount of twisting causes some accidental clicks. It's hard to notice at first. In fact, I'm typing this whole review on the X2 quite well, but that's primarily because the trackpad is simply staying pressed down the whole time while I type. Accidental clicks are happening galore. It could be better at certain angles, but either way, this device is pretty difficult to use on your lap, and since this keyboard is already very flimsy, I don't think this is just an issue with my unit. This is probably a wide spread issue, and needs to be called out.

Good thing I got it on sale. Lackluster performance, glitches with streaming apps, music stutters no matter what, and barely runs some Android apps. Terrible for gaming, even remote play and cloud based. Avoid. No resale value.

Android can do tablet things well, but leave laptop functionalities desiring more. Like Galaxy Tabs are great tablets. Apps work well enough, to the point of calling them "functional". However, if you want to use them as a laptop, they leave much to be desired. Things like office word and spreadsheet docs, leave so many options behind. Chromebooks, don't do tablet things as well as Android. Like, if you pull off the keyboard cover, chromebook doesn't know enough to pull up a keyboard as needed. This is most evident in the web browser Chrome. (Google's, main bread and butter) On an Android tablet, you can't keep multiple tabs open, if you switch between tabs, one shuts down or resets, whereas on a chromebook tablet, its awkward to navigate without the keyboard. However you came for a review of this specific device. There in lies much of the problems. Samsung has their own skin on top of their tablets Android OS. HP did too little of this. They claim to have a fingerprint scanner. No apps are utilized for a fingerprint scanner. In fact, in turning the device on, or things like banking apps, a notification for "do you want to use your finger print" doesn't automatically pop up like on a phone. So it has the technology to do things, however, nothing was been optimized for it. Speaking of technology, the fingerprint scanner and it's lack of use isn't the biggest villain here. That award goes to the keyboard. More specifically, the space to either side of the touch pad. If you use it on any surface that's not a flat table, it likes to click. Picking up the keyboard cover likes clicking the mouse. You can hear it. Looking at it funny clicks the mouse. Clicking the mouse clicks the mouse, which it fine. Touching it keyboard funny and opening a link you had no intention to, is annoying. Especially if you're typing and it's mid-sentence. I seem negative here, so here's the positives. If this was my first laptop, I'd love it. If I was a student, I'd love it. It goes on sale for $399 every other week. Buy it then. Not at its full price of $599. If I knew nothing else existed out there, I'd love it. The speakers are good for a Chromebook. The screen is great for a Chromebook, however the touchscreen is too sensitive for the bezels being so small. It would be great if I wanted a device to browse the web and stream movies. I wanted a durable work computer I could have available for staff if needed and not be worried about it breaking. This device was definitely not built for that. If Google had incorporated the best of their Android world into their Chromebook world and made one great os, I probably would have kept this device.

I t like that it comes with a pencil and a case with a keyboard. The only reason for the 4 stars is that it is a little slow. But overall the tablet works as advertised. I have had it for a couple of months now.

Good overall device when on sale. Fast and easy to use. Battery is very good new but after 3 weeks of non regular usage battery health went down to 95%. I won’t recommend it for heavy usage, just browsing or reading.
