A bit anemic overall, but perfect for junior kindergarten Zoom classes, YouTube, ABCMouse, etc.. If you use an Android phone or tablet the interface is immediately familiar. Only a few things to learn about the interface, but generally easy to use. This Chromebook was purchased primarily for my daughter who needed it for her school. In that regard, it works very well. Tried playing Roblox but even with an excellent internet connection and speed, it was choppy and painfully slow. Zoom works great. Battery life is good if not trying to Roblox or Zoom. For some programs, a mouse is necessary (the touchpad was inadequate). Not disappointed given the very reasonable cost and very limited purpose.

This is my first Chromebook so I was a little unaware of exactly what I was getting. It was a great deal on an open box clearance sale so that eases my disappointment some. It works ok but not sure I would get another one. Pro: lightweight, long battery life, quick recharge, decent screen Con: slow, keyboard has a different layout from a laptop, it's Google-centric so if you are more of a Windows / 0365 user it is not as convenient, not as much of a laptop replacement as I was expecting

People like Apple products but as I tell my friends it's a Google world!!!! Set up is very easy and the size and weight are perfect for looking up information when watching tv , console gaming or just sitting around. Very powerful and fast. Kids at home can easily use for online school work from elementary to college. If saving a lot of data would recommend an appropriate sized flash drive. Screen is great for me but I don't stream movies or tv so not sure about the picture quality in that respect.

I needed a laptop for school during the covid -19 lock down and this chrome book has surpassed my expectations. It’s fast, light and has a long battery life. I use it everyday for hours. So far I’m very happy with it.

Chromebooks, including this one, are much better buys than most of the tablets on the market. You can do mos of your work, except the most demanding specialized work, on a chromebook. No need to buy any software or even an antivirus software. The only down side is that after about five years, Google will stop updating the Chrome OS of your chromebook. It is time to buy a new one at that time. Technology advances enough in five years so that buying a new chromebook every five years is worth it.

I bought this Chromebook because I needed a new laptop. I couldn’t afford a new MacBook and I despise Windows so my choices were pretty limited. After doing a little bit of research and a very small amount of time looking at stuff in person, I decided on this. It is perfect for what I need to get done. Web browsing, emails, YouTube, etc... are there things that this device can’t do that a normal laptop can? Sure, but I bought this for work & it does exactly what I need it to do. It comes with a good amount of apps installed already (YouTube, Google Docs, Gmail, Google Photos, Chrome Canvas, Duo, etc...) and access to the Google Play store to download any other apps you may need. The Chromebook runs Chrome OS and is beyond easy to use. Right out of the box you just turn it on (after plugging it in for a few seconds) and sign into your Google account and you’re good to go. Other than the price the main reason I decided on a Chromebook was the fact that it self updates and has built in virus protection. For 6 years!!!!! That is awesome. My only gripe would be the price. As I looked at this model it was on sale for $199 a week later when I finally pulled the trigger it was back to $249 and about a week after it arrived it was back on sale for $199. So that was a bit of a bummer. There are various types of Chromebooks ranging from super budget to high end and that is all really matter of preference I suppose. Although middle of the road is probably the way to go. Overall if you’re looking for an inexpensive option or something idiot proof Chromebook is the way to go.

Our children both needed Chromebooks for remote learning this year and this was the perfect solution. Ideal screen size, lightweight and easy to use

We bought this for our 8 year old to do her online schooling. It has been very easy for her to navigate and use. It is not touch screen which is hard for me to get used to since my laptop is, but it allows me to be able to point things out to her without it causing the computer to change screens. We have not utilized much of the parental controls, but we are mostly just using this for school work online (watching videos from her teacher, uploading work, and educational websites). I think it will be great as she continue to do more computer work and we are very happy with the purchase. Great value for the price. The screen is a little bit fuzzy/blurry to me but doesn't seem to bother my kids.

We bought this little guy for my wife's grandma so we could keep in touch via google duo. It's easy for her to use, since the screen is nice and bright and the keys are easily readable. The camera isn't great, but it is serviceable. The battery life seems very good. We especially liked that it was possible to turn off the 'sleep' function, allowing us to call via Duo when the screen was closed. It's not a powerhouse, but if you're looking for a simple laptop for online shopping, social media, and video conferencing, this is a great option.

This chromebook is good for web browsing and light content creation (word processing through google docs and the like). Screen is more than adequate in both size and resolution. Keyboard has a nice feel to it and the trackpad works well, though right clicking is easier with a mouse. The underside of the laptop does get quite warm after an extended period of use, not to a dangerous degree but be careful if you're used to putting your laptop directly on your lap.

High school student on distance learning gives this HP Chromebook a 5-star rating!! He is very pleased with the 14-inch size, set-up ease, speed, and reliability of this Chromebook!!

I purposely bought a less expensive computer as this is my first Chromebook (replacing an old Dell with Windows that was on its last legs) and I didn't want to make a big investment. The computer has been simple to use and the transition to the Chrome OS was easy, with only a minor hiccup on connecting to my printer (resolved with a little research). If you don't need a lot of power for gaming or other uses, and are willing to dispense with a touch-screen, this seems like a terrific choice. I just hope it proves to be durable enough to last a few years.

This AMD Chromebook is the best on the market so far is 2019. Excellent CPU and GPU in a Chromebook device. As of 4/15 I've purchased two devices for my kids. We play games from the Google Play Store including Minecraft. I purchase a more expensive Chromebook for myself, and ended up returning it because this laptop outperformed the more expensive laptop.

Easy to setup and easy to use. Fairly fast as well. Is it a MacBook Air, no. But not far off. Daughter lives it so that goes a long way. Excellent for both school and entertainment!

I recently retired and needed my own laptop to browse the internet when sitting on the couch and away from our desktop computer (yes, we are slightly archaic and still have a desktop). My husband's had a Chromebook for about 4 years and likes his...so I thought I'd give it a try. For what I need to use this for...browsing the internet, doing spreadsheets, etc.) works great!

It’s definitely worth the money. It’s light weight, great camera, and the perfect size for beginners for their virtual learning. I’m really satisfied with this item.

Purchased this for my dad who had a 2 year old acer chromebook. If you are not familiar with chromebooks, they are great inexpensive options for anyone who doesn't need a laptop for anything more than browsing and watching videos. They also have the lifespan of a housefly. But thats to be expected of a sub $200 device. This one has a decent screen, good battery life. And even has a usb c charging port. Not a bad item for a student or someone who just wants to browse the internet and watch videos

My husband and I purchased this for his dad for Christmas. We wanted something that would be easy for him, he recently had a stroke and is not at home to use his desktop, so for the purpose of listening to music and researching side effects on his medication this works great. If someone is buying this that likes to have the 10 key on the right, this isn't for you. So far it has worked wonderful for his all intent purposes.

I was kind of skeptical when I bought this Chromebook, having never owned one before, but I immediately fell in love with this one. It's so easy to use, and it has TWO charging ports, one on each side. The charging port is also the same as my phone and Nintendo Switch, so I don't have to carry around multiple charging cables. The battery life on this Chromebook is also amazing, I can be on it for hours on a single charge. I also love that it's connected to all my google products, so wherever I leave off on my computer, I can pick it back up on my phone. My favorite computer I've owned, and a great price too.

Great laptop for a child in middle school, easy to setup and use. Very durable and charges very quickly!
