The RAM can be upgraded and Windows euns just fine. THe computer will be clunky untill is fully updated. The AMD processor has way better performance than the Intel Celeron counterpart. It can take more memory and run some very limited 3D applications way better than the celeron. This computers are very sturdy, the plastic shell will be forgiving with bumps unlike aluminum chassis laptops. Battery life is decent because the processor is underpowered (If you want better battery life, get a chromebook).

Perfect Laptop for a writer

First, it's much better than my former 15" HP Laptop in which the internal battery had died. I also like the smaller size, which makes it easy to carry from location to location. The new computer works much faster than the old one that had sticky keys. I had trouble adjusting to all the Microsoft messages and new products on my new computer, but a Geek Squad person, Kevin, at the Towson store explained them to me and how they were designed to help me access and store my information. For my purposes as a writer, the new computer is perfect.

Wife loves it
