Have had this laptop for a few months now. So far it has been a good basic laptop. Can run somewhat slow at times but for badic needs (browsing the internet, saving and creating files, etc.) it has been serviceable. Not recommend for anything intensive but if you need a basic laptop that runs windows its good enough.

One star is actually to high for rating this device. We bought this laptop for simple staff use for our company. Basically checking emails. It didn't last too long, just a bit over a month - it shuts down suddenly and doesn't turn on. Unfortunately, though, it lasted too long for returning it. Garbage purchase and waste of money. I totally understand that it is a relatively cheap laptop, however, I still think that it should have worked a little bit longer that one month. Considering that we didn't use it for any complicated tasks.

Sturdy, light, quick to start and load programs. Travels well - I use it at many sites plugged into many peripherals. The ports get connected and disconnected several times a day are are easy to locate and durable. Screen brightness is good and has maintained its quality after a year.

I'd give itba zero if I could. Not only the laptop but Best Buy's sorry excuse for a 14 or 15 day return policy and the fraud department that HP calls customer service. Bought the paper weight and didn't use it outside of setting it up. Left unused for about 20 days or so when she was finally ready to put it to work. For basic searching, I'd have better off driving to the library and researching and driving back and would have probably still beat the page loading. Forget streaming or a Zoom meeting. Might as well try and send smoke signals to whoever you're communicating with. I'm a network engineer so I'm pretty technical. We also have 1G at home and everything else connected to my home network runs flawlessly. But of course, I knew that's what the HP support would claim. But wait... it's worse. My girlfriend sits a hour and a half on call with HP support getting bounced around. "Ma'am what type of network card is in the laptop"? Ummm it's your laptop, why should the customer who isn't tech savvy have to tell you what type of network card is in the laptop AFTER you log in remotely and take control of the laptop? Then she gets bounced to another department who claims it's a malware issue, without doing any troubleshooting and it would be like $14/month fee for the support plan. $14/month for a support plan for a $219 laptop? Are you kidding me? While I know it's a $219 laptop and it isn't going to be a world beater, it should be able to handle some basic web browsing and a Zoom meeting. Biggest piece of junk I've ever bought and customer service was even worse. I wouldn't recommend this piece of trash if HP and Best Buy paid me to.

looks nice, slow for my needs. sometimes i will lose what im working on, it just goes to something else which is frustraing. i wish i paid more and got a better one. i have found recently, hp products have not been top line in products.hp printer problems as well
