Poor performance

Even as a basic laptop the performance is very lackluster. Many of the programs will not respond as your working including Word. It's amazing to watch my laptop that is 5 years older out perform this machine. The only thing it does better is bootup faster. Spend a bit more and get a better machine.

Terribly Slow

But, I was not prepared for how terribly slow this laptop was. Out of the box and during setup, the slowness was something that I could deal with; however, I shut the laptop down and a few hours later I attempted to use the laptop. After about 30 minutes and still a black screen I had to do a hard shutdown and attempted to restart the laptop. It still took a long time to startup. Once it did, I did a factory reset to remove all of my information from the laptop. This process took 12 hours and the only thing that I had installed on the laptop was Norton. There was no files, no download program, or nothing that "needed to be removed" except my security software, wifi information, and name and this took 12 hours.

Still a good buy 2 years later

So often feel like technology changes so often that I need the "Newest thing" but this still serves all of my needs and working great nearly 2 years after purchase. Having the Total Protection Plan assures me that any issues will be taken care of by Best Buy.
