Was nervous about the negative reviews, but still gave it a shot. I’m glad I did. I use this for school and leisure at home and could not ask for a better unit. School involves Excel, Powerpoint, and Word. Leisure includes Youtube, Netflix, and a bit of light media editing. This HP handles all of with with No issues, and the 1TB harddrive gives me plenty of room to store it all. Highly recommended for a student or general browsing computer!

This computer seems to be working well. It is slow at times, but that's what you get when you get something cheaper. This is a company computer purchased to run our VPN software, and it serves that purpose.

Going from the windows 7 platform to windows 10 expect added notifications, Ads( many) and other pop ups. It has a backup way for using older formats. Overall be prepared to update aps and make changes.

This laptop works great however it is a little slow on the processing. I think that is expected for a cheaper priced laptop. I bought this as a gift and so far they're very happy and satisfied with it.

Inexpensive. Good I’d only need for basic things such as internet. Is a slow computer for operating multiple applications at once.

I got this for my husband for light use and it works for the paperwork he needs to do weekly. It’s not very fast and you for sure have to be patient, but it’s a good little unit for the price.

This is an excellent laptop. It's big screen allows for a great streaming experience. Sometimes takes a while to turn on but otherwise fast compared to other laptops that are in the same price range.

I love it and battery life is great. Very easy and lightweight.

Full disclosure, we bought this as a gift for my Father in Law. This man is notorious for causing computer issues. For this, (his third laptop in about a year and a half), we wanted something inexpensive and simple. The thought process was that we would spend more on virus protection than we have in the recent past. So far so good. A couple of minor setup issues, but after an hour, it was good to go with no issues in the past few weeks. I'd call that a (temporary) win? It functions well for browsing the internet and playing simple games.

Decent basic laptop for the price, runs well although lacks speed in some areas.. It can be upgraded, however. It does come with a lot of bloatware, be prepared to spend some time removing it.

Great Laptop for the price. Can be a little slow uploading some programs, but highly recommended.

This is my second HP computer, purchased about a month ago. So far, so good. Two things you should know... 1. The battery (4 hr. charge capacity) is internal. HP's maintenance manual shows how easy it is to replace. Just the right size screwdriver and you got it nailed, though you may have to search high and low for a retailer that carries the battery you need (HP Part# L11119-855). 2. This model comes with a free 6-month subscription to Trend Micro Internet Security. This slowed down my HP considerably, so I uninstalled it. Other than that, it handles the workload I throw at it. Not for high-end gaming, though.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my daughter, so it is a little premature to give a proper review. Perhaps a return review post after it has been used for a while. Great price though.

This is a good laptop for the price. I will be using it for access to personal emails and some work. The programs that are automatically loaded on the laptop take a little getting used to.

I bought this laptop for school on a tight budget. It’s a little slow, but works for what I need it for. I wouldn’t buy it as a gaming computer, but overall, it does what I bought it for.

HP has a lot of excellent computer products. But, I returned it because it was not fast enough for me. My desktop is fast and I expected this laptop to do the same.

Still lags a little especially while watching Netflix and Hulu. It was cheap and I bought it just for watching movies when I travel for work

I needed something for my training and development classes for work, fast enough to run the programs i need simultaneously, without being strong enough to tempt me to install games on it.

I got this for my granddaughter and it’s a great little laptop with plenty of storage space on it for anything she does. And she can take it with her to the beach on vacation, etc.
