Good for light to medium users

Good for college user, basis projects, web browsing. Cons: The fan is going out after 2 1/2 hears. I'm a heavy user. Also there is no graphics card, so some video editing software will not fully function as intended, as you will have to choose the less than optimal option for converting videos. Wear and Tear, on the left portion of the monitor, where it is popping out a bit, but it has not impacted the visibility of the info on the monitor. I love the functionality, flexibility . Moderate lightweight. Newer models from 2019 are lighter than this one. I do have a crack on the outer cover, about 2 inches long, going horizontal. But again I'm a heay user. Easy to transport and fits laptop covers that fits dimensions. I will purchase a newer upgrade to this, but will opt for one with an actual graphics card. All in all I would purchase again. Just be minful if you are a heavy user that you may have to buy an upgrade after 3 years.

I'm loving the convenience and flexibility of my HP - 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop. The touch-screen makes this laptop super easy to use anywhere anytime and the 1 terabyte hard drive is more than enough for all my document files and photos!

Bought this for my 9 year old daughter for online games, school work and Research projects. She really wanted a laptop vs a tablet so she could use a mouse and full size keyboard. It's a good machine overall but had to remove bloat ware and do a few updates to get it to run smoothly.

Best windows I had since now especially compared to previous ones. Ofcourse it's still a windows so not comparable to mac. Pros: Screen touch is reliable, nice design neat, light, big screen, navigation is fast enough, battery duration up to 5/6 hours using surfing the web, great price and space. Cons: keyboard too short compared to standard ones and mac, if you put it to sleep it will drain the battery in 24h not using it( i'm used to macbook that lasts weeks), Once in a while gets stuck, power cord too short and low quality, the external light plastics lets you feel it like a toy.

Fast easy setup. Great value for the price. Computer is fast using wifi. Screen has great resolution The specs are strong including a touch screen and 1 TB Drive. DVD Drive also included. The laptop is light considering all of these options and I just took it on a 2 week trip. HP support is helpful and a minimum of extra apps that you do not need. The I 3 processor and 6 MB RAM are perfectly fine for this machine.

We needed a second laptop so our high school student could do homework without taking over our computer. This model is light and has a large enough screen for the job. Keyboard isn't backlit, but that doesn't matter. Fast processor, and ease of use, as well as good memory. It does the job, and isn't fancy.

I've had this laptop for 2 months now, and so far it's been great! It works as it should, and I haven't had any issues with it in terms of performance. Now, I do have a few things I don't like about it though. One being the SD Card slot. It's not the easiest to remove the SD card once it's inserted into the slot. Another thing I don't particularly like is the CD tray; it's very, very flimsy. I feel like when I put a disc into the tray, like I'm going to break the tray off. Also, the casing around the screen is very cheap flimsy as well. And the last issue I've had (which only happened once) is I had the laptop on a table one night, and had it plugged in with the AC adapter. I had my girlfriend unplug it for me (as I was about to shut it down for the night) and she unplugged it and it instantly shut off. I looked and the battery had come loose and started coming out of the laptop. Not sure how the battery unlocked and came out while sitting on a table, but it did. Luckily for me, it didn't cause any damage to the laptop. As for the pros of the laptop though, it's very lightweight, has good performance (a lot faster than my previous laptop), plenty of RAM and a huge hard drive, and even if it's flimsy, the CD/DVD drive is great to have! Overall, I'm happy with this laptop, and for the price, you're not going to find anything better than this!

We purchased the Hp - 15.6 Touch-screen Laptop - Intel Core I3 - 6gb Memory - 1tb Hard Drive for my daughter to do school work on. She had other devices but needed a computer to write papers and research the internet more efficiently. This HP Laptop has enough power for her needs. Its 6GB of DDR4 RAM and Intel Core i3 processor appears to be a great fit. It allows her to multitask on her screen. The 1TB hard drive holds a large number of documents, videos and images. The 15.6-inch HD touch screen is larger enough to view everything without stressing your eyes and this HP notebook is good weigh for carrying as well. It is a great first computer.

Exactly what I was looking for! After lots of research Best Buy just got this new model in so I bought this laptop this afternoon. I'm real tech/Computer savvy and was looking for a middle of the road laptop that wouldn't break the bank. I use a laptop mainly for web browsing, streaming, and social services, photo editing and music. I wanted a laptop that had touch screen, somewhat newer processor and a large HD. I spent the normal time setting up this laptop with all my accounts, installing apps, and setting the computer up to my personal needs. I was running several apps and installs at the same time and still got a great response out of the laptop, I was very impressed little to no slow down. I downloaded some HD movies, which installed pretty quick (speed is determined by your internet capabilities) and had great playback. Streamed videos from YouTube, Netflix, Amazon, and other internet sites and everything worked great in HD. FOR THE Money very nice computer AAA+++ For $399 this PC has it all and is worth the price!! Strongly recommend. Pros: - fast processor 6th generation intel i3, fast browsing and apps - windows 10 - touchscreen and keyboard - tons of storage with 1TB HD - DVD/CD burner - decent battery (after 2 hours’ heavy use it was down about 20%) - price - input options (HDMI, USB 3.0, x2 USB 2.0, SD Card, Cons: None Great Product!!

Good general use computer. The speed is good enough to play most games without issue. This one did not have Bluetooth. At the store the salesperson thought that it did. The battery life is about three hours with web surfing and watching videos. Touch screen works well but takes some getting used to. When I registered the product online, the warranty only gave me eight months. Had to call Tech Support to get that straightened out.

Great value laptop at this price point

We bought this laptop for our 10 year old daughter for Christmas, and it was the perfect entry level computer for her based on what she uses it for: emails, web browsing, web games, watching videos on Youtube, playing some low-rez games such as Minecraft and Roblox, and will likely be suitable to watch Netfilix with, or Skype with her friends. While the casing and keyboard are regrettably cheaper feeling plastic (and the keys are not backlit, this is a definite drawback as a missing feature), it seems sturdy enough for what we spent and should expect at the price (we got it just after Black Friday for $250). The real value was finding a core I3 Intel CPU rather than a Celeron, and a real Windows 10 Home Edition laptop instead of a Chromebook. We found almost 80 percent Chromebooks at this price point and only a small handful of laptops at inferior specs. This, plus the 6 gig of ram (another huge plus over the standard 4 gig at entry level units), and the touchscreen aspect made it a steal. Had to use Windows to do a self wipe / clean reinstall of the operating system to get rid of some bloatware (not a ton, but it made a real noticable difference in load speed and run speed), and this was really a great package of specs for the price. Saw some concerns in comments about wifi connectivity, havent seen any issues yet, will update if there are.

I bought this laptop because it had features that were important to me such as touchscreen, cd drive, 1 TB, etc and overall I have been very pleased with this product. It is speedy, can handle all the tasks I throw at it which is mostly administrative not gaming. The touchscreen works with ease and quick to respond. It did quit connecting to WIFI after an update which after much research online ( via tablet) seems to be a common problem. My son has a similar model and it did the same thing. Nothing fixed it, even the Geek Squad had a hard time but thanks to their diligence and the warranty it did get corrected. So my advice is as my son uses his for gaming due to budget I wouldn't recommend this computer for that because his bogged down quickly, but for personal average use it is a good computer for the price point. Only allow updates upon your approval and buy the extra warranty. I did recommend it to a friend and she loves hers.

I just want to begin by saying that Im a college student so this review is more geared towards students. This is my first touch screen laptop and let me tell you it comes extremely handy for reading, researching, typing, highlighting, and multitasking. It truly is my favorite thing about this laptop. The screen doesnt wobble like my old laptop, it is very sturdy, which I appreciate because I carry it everywhere in my backpack. It is not a lightweight computer. When I purchased it, it had a discount, it was 299 so maybe wait until it is that price to get it. It is a good computer for the price and for what I do, does not lag when I open my 20 chrome tabs + listen to music + use word/ppt/pdf processor or one note + have my outlook open. The one thing I noticed when I first got it is that the number lock and the power button are not backlit. Also, It isnt very pretty, its all black and the cover is a fingerprint magnet, but I personally dont mind that. Audio isnt great either so I just use my headphones. Battery life is decent but if youre like me you are almost always near an outlet at school/home/coffee shop so you won't need 12 hours of battery life. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

Got this as a Black Friday Deal for $299. Yep a steal for 6GB and 1TB. Use primarily for email and web surfing but intend to use for completing college course work. Laptops have come a long way since my last Toshiba purchase some 10 years past. Lightweight and thin. The touch screen is great and so far I have to give it 5 Stars as it performs as advertised.
