The processor is a few generations behind and the storage is too small. 256GB should not be the primary storage for a laptop. At least the memory is 12GB which is 50% more than most laptops in this class but given it has an igpu, you lose some of that to the graphics. I don't know why they don't just make these 16GB standard. The keyboard is soft and squishy, definitely cheaply produced. It was on sale and very cheap especially given the fact that it has 12 GB of memory since most others have 8GB. I have not taken it apart to see if it's upgradeable. HP appears to hide the screws under the non-slip strips so you end up having to deface the laptop to service it. In the end, this is slightly better than a chrome book which works for kids. I would not pay the MSRP, only pick this up if it's significantly discounted

Runs well and ticks all the boxes for an everyday/business laptop. This is a good pick if you don't need a ton of storage or you're good with adding an external drive as needed.
