We bought this computer as a replacement for a slightly older i5 model that isn't running so smoothly. I'll start with the exterior... it feels pretty "cheesy" compared to the older one. The keys are very flimsy and the body is much of the same...for the price, in my opinion, should be a more solid structure. The coloring on the screen also isn't very sharp and I have it set to one of the higher brightness settings. The operating system itself, also a slight disappointment. Purchasing a computer set to "S Mode" isn't ideal when you need certain programs you can't download only from Microsoft. Changing out of this took a lot of research and navigation through the computer's settings, and the way they describe making the changes encourages you to feel like you might be doing something wrong or to your system's detriment. Once I was able to get all the programs necessary to work from this computer I quickly noticed while working in Excel that the system freezes. This shouldn't be happening on a brand-new computer. I should quickly & easily be able to navigate from one spreadsheet to another without having the sytem clam up on me! Especially when it's only 2 spreadsheets and my email that are open. I do hope with more time this computer and I develope a smoother working relationship, but one month out of the package, I have to say for the price of this machine it isn't what we were hoping for as a solution to replacing the older model. As far as the internal memory and SSD... it's an upgrade... but the ease of use is less than desirable, thus causing delays in productivity. I have had HP computers for the last 20+ years, this one is closer to the bottom of my quality list for what I know (and expect) their products to be.

I’m happy with this purchase. This computer is easy to use, and is capable of having multiple windows open without interference. Using Zoom plus other portals without it running slow was definitely needed. This was a great investment for work and school.

I've had no issues with this computer, I upgraded the memory to 64g and she runs strong.

Unreliable. I have spent more time engaged with HP Support than I have had functional time using the laptop since I purchased it in November. At this point it feels like HP is just trying to run the clock out on the warranty. As this is the fifth HP laptop my household has gone through in as many years (2nd for my significant other, 3rd for me) and we are fairly gentle on electronics (tend to keep smartphones in good working condition for 5+ years), I will not be buying any more HP products after this one.

Light weight, battery life and speed are very good.
