Was a very satisfied Asus customer for decades and need to upgrade a very old laptop but could not find an Asus laptop with the specs I wanted without an exhorbitant price tag. This HP was the only one I could find that seemed to meet the specs I desired. I was reluctant since I knew many people who have had reliability problems with HPs but the ratings on this model were very good so decided to give HP a chance. I purchased laptop the end of November 2022. In the middle of March 2023 the laptop abruptly shut down while on battery (charged at ~45% at the time) then gave a blue screen warning that the battery was bad and needed to be replaced. The laptop was only used a few times per week for no more than 1-2 hours at a time and even then was used primarily for internet browsing. (no gaming and no programs run for any length of time that would tax the system). With the power adapter plugged in, the battery would remained at 0% the entire time and the laptop would shut down immediately anytime the power adapter was disconnected. Called BestBuy who referred me to GeekSquad who referred me to HP, since laptop was fortunately still under HP 1 year warranty. HP support was very responsive and after trying to resolve the problem remotely, they told me to return the laptop for repair. From the day of the problem to when the laptop was repaired and returned was 19 days. Although the experience with HP support was rather positive (great communication, knowledgeable technicians, laptop was repaired at no charge with only negative being that HP used Fedex Ground for both shipping to and from which took the repair process much longer meaning I was without laptop than if using 2-3 day services), I still am not happy with my decision to test HP reliability by purchasing this laptop. I do not trust HP computers at all now since a problem of this scale occurred so soon.

This is a good laptop. It has enough processing power and memory for our needs. The screen is o a good size.

I bought this for my niece, she loves it! Her mom complained it was too fast. I definitely recommend 16gb of ram.

Good Overall laptop for price. Heats up a bit when using near 90% CPU but other than that good pc. Speakers slighlty worn out after 1 year of use

They are alright / for the price you get a lot of power and performance, however we have already had to sent two of them back.
