After I set this laptop up, I realized that the hard drive and only 4GB of RAM made it as slow as the computer it was replacing. I ordered another 4GB stick of RAM and a 128GB SSD to swap in for around $40 total and it is so much snappier! I love the size and screen, the keyboard is also very nice.

Excellent screen size, touchpad is uber sensitive, needs a memory upgrade for speed. Lightweight easy to carry but hard to find a bag for.

The screen is huge and it’s easy to use and a cinch to set up. No password to type in each time, just a number code. Long battery life as well.

This laptop is a great buy. It's a great beginner-friendly laptop. It doesn't have features like a touch-screen or a backlit keyboard, and you might not want to carry it around because it's pretty heavy. I still love it as is and haven't had any problems with it. I'd recommend it to anybody looking for a budget-friendly laptop.

not great had it for a year an it literately stop working. for no reason had it looked at by the geek squad was told it needed a new drive

I had to purchase this computer last min to work from home. This 17.3 inch screen is a dream. No more squinting when I am working via VPN and the full keyboard makes working from home amazing. For the price as well! PFFT! No one can go wrong.

Whatever you do, don't buy an HP computer. I have 3 and at this moment none of them are functioning. I purchased one in 2009, another in 2016 and one in July of 2020. It is the poorest product you could spend your money on. The first one which was a pavillion, 6 months after purchase I had to change out my mother board. I had to do it myself or I would have had to ship the computer away for some weeks. The second opens up but doesn't function properly. The last one I purchased less than a year ago and right now I'm looking at a black screen. I lost more than half of my work after transferring everything from the second computer to this last one. Now I have no computer and they want to charge for service. I'm so frustrated right now. Yes, I purchased each one from Best Buy

This light weight laptop is fast and efficient! I love “Snow Flake” and it has really come in handy as I continue to navigate teleworking. Great product!

The bad - Very slow and under powered. Lots of error/app not responding issues. Surfing using MS Edge and with chrome I get alot of apps is not responding. The good - It appears to be built solid enough. Nice screen and speakers sound pretty good. Very good battery life. I was using it one night for about hrs unplugged and it seems lie I could have gotten another hour or out of it without recharging. I have uninstall McAfee and express VPN. Both software come bundle on it with a very short trial period. After uninstalling these software it seems to function a little bitter. I did install a malware software and ASC(advance System Care) and cleaned up a bit and again it seems to run ok but I will be upgrading to or gigs of ram and I will also upgrade to a SSD drive. I have a feeling to laptop will then function as it is suppose to but the manufactures are too darn cheap to spend a little more to make a actual nice machine. I will update this review once I upgrade the machine to let everyone know if you can make this into a great machine for a few bucks more.
