    After two years of ownership, this computer has not malfunctioned and is operating flawlessly. I also enjoy the screen size.

    Overall, it's an excellent value for the money. Performance is generally solid, but recently it has begun to freeze intermittently without warning or error message. I primarily use it for writing reports and surfing the web and for that it is great. I knew it only came with 8 GB of RAM when I bought it, but I didn't realize it topped out at 16 GB, which was disappointing. Otherwise, no complaints.

    I'm 91 and bought my 1st (Toshiba) laptop in 2011. So, I'm definitely not a "techie". Visited my son in NC for Xmas, where I purchased the same HP he'd just bought. The Geek who transferred the info from my 1st to my new was great. It took a very, very long time and frequent interventions. but he was patient and reassuring. The salesperson was also very helpful. I love this computer. My son was able to teach me easier ways to do things. I love the brightness and the larger screen. I would suggest it for any senior who concentrates on email, shopping, online banking and similar low-tech activities.

    I am very pleased with this laptop. My only personal issue is a lack of keyboard backlighting, but of course it is up to personal preference whether that matters. I've experienced no lag or other performance issues throughout the few months I have been using this laptop, and I think it is a great computer for its price.
