for the reasonable price, this is an excellent computer. large screen (17.3 in), fast internet speed (intel core i3), lots of memory (8 ram), lots of storage (1 tb hd) and lighter than you would expect. with great hp quality and good best buy customer service you can't beat the value. i have a 10 year old 17.3 in hp laptop that works fine but i couldn't pass up on this great deal.

I needed a computer that would run Office for our new business. I also wanted one that had a 10 key since I'm using it a lot for spreadsheets. I debated between a desktop and a laptop. This was the perfect compromise. It's big enough to work like a desktop, especially with the wireless mouse and keyboard I already had, but I can also close it and carry it home if I need to work after hours.

Pros: Easy set up, nice screen size for streaming movies, great for overall word processing. Con: Not so great battery life. I use this primarily for word processing and occasional movie streaming and internet. If you plan on spending several hours a day on this laptop, perhaps a brand with a longer battery life would be better.

This is by no means a fast computer, but well-made and works fine for virtual meetings, internet browsing, etc. Very light for the size and nice to have a big screen. Does not get warm as some laptops do, which is nice. The video and sound quality is acceptable... not top end, but good for the price, and the large screen is great.

Not top of the line, but we wanted something with a large amount of storage for movies/books/ect for traveling. Also did NOT come as Windows S so no unlocking or updating needed for "normal" windows Not to heavy even being 17.3 inches! No issues being on 4 planes, through 6 TSA check points, and even being handled by bellhops (and who knows what they might have hit it against!)

Love my new laptop. It is fast and easy to use. Has more than enough memory.

This is a great computer. I have always been pleased with HP products, and this one is no exception. It has a nice big screen, and I got it at a great price. As is always for me, a new OS took a little time to figure out, but it's all good now. I highly recommend this laptop!

The HUGE screen size offers excellent visuals, the keys are spaced perfectly & deliver a strong and exacting tactile experience, the DVD player works perfectly & the battery allows for the viewing of a season of Game of Thrones on a single charge!

It was time to replace my old HP and BestBuy had this one on sale. I knew I couldn't go wrong. Having a lot of memory (8GB) and 1TB HDD space made my decision easy to buy it. Also, since I travel a lot and work on the road having it be 17.3" makes it easy to view and work on Excel & Word files.

This laptop was exactly what I needed when I first bought it. It's been a few years now so it's slowed a little bit, but I think that can be attributed to general wear. Especially for the price I got it for and as a much needed upgrade from my old one, this one has done me well.

After shopping around for weeks on Best Buy.com, I found this computer. Priced nicely. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but if your looking for a computer that will give you a larger screen, a nice size Hard Drive & a DVD/CD burner, then this is the unit to get.

I got this for my mom for Christmas. She loves it. Big screen for a good price the only thing is it's not HD, but if you are a computer whiz you can fix it where it kinda looks HD. The delivery was fastly shipped to.

Loving my new laptop everything is good. Just needed a much better internal-video camera and photo shot along with memory. Once I added more devices to enhanced my laptop it was even more fun. I enjoy having the touch screen and double camera facial recognition.

The 17 inch screen is wonderful in this laptop and how many laptops come with a 1T hard drive at this price. All in all I am completely pleases with my purchase and highly recommend this any one who wants the convenience of a portable with the power of a PC.

I was surprised to find out that this 17.3-inch Laptop had a CD internally. I thought that most manufacturers had done away with them. I have always had one on my computers. I had to buy a new computer because my old one had outlasted its time. So this new HP was sold at first glance but I did not tell that to the sales person just then, Next on inspection, I picked it up and could not believe how light it was. No need to go any further, I bought it right then, The only disappointment I had was that when I got to my office and started to use it, I noticed that I could not light up the keys. That was my bad for not checking because I always get that feature on any computer I purchase. But the price I paid was $300 less than on the sticker...I decided to keep it and turn the lights up brighter in my office. The keys on the keyboard are great..soft and responsive. So I am very pleased.

Unbelievable laptop. Affordable and will allow you to do basic tasks and more. If you don't care about glitz but need a laptop that will let you do basic functions and surf the Internet, this HP laptop has to be your choice. I love my laptop and since it's HP I know it will last a long time.

Excellent computer. Easy to use. Keyboard is not too small to type on comfortably. Excellent speed and video quality. Have yet to hear anything in the audio department, but I don't expect that to disappoint. Was bought as a gift for my wife. She's been very pleased with it, so far. I am amazed to get such a quality item for such a great price.
